I learned WAAAAYYYY more from your videos than taking my ACLS class! You really know how to break things down in layman’s terms so that we understand WHY we are doing what we are doing instead of just doing something.
It always amazes me how some of these RUclips videos explain things much more efficiently than the tuitions we paid for with our lives. Thank you so much!
I honestly don't know what I would do without these videos!! I have used them for BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Your ability to simplify the concepts is amazing. Thank you VERY much!! :)
I have come to really count on ICU Advantage for more difficult critical care concepts. The method of delivery, and the explanations are concise, and clear. Thank you for posting this highly informative learning tool.
I'm joining the ED now and they assigned me RQI ALS online modules where it's a waste of my time. You explained things I need to know in these short videos and I can actually absorb, vs me sitting in front of these modules reading and having words fly over my head. Thank you!
Years ago I would enter a code situation and people would not remember what to do, I wished for RQI and someone created it. It helps keep people fresh and that is necessary for the whole, remember everyone may not be sharp and retain well. Only issue may be that BLS cards should be issued with a certain amount of classes .....i.e. 4 classes=card. There has to be a benefit to the employee.
Thank you so much. I've been watching your videos. Keep doing it because it's a great HELP to everyone (new or even experienced ICU RN's). Your voice modulation and the pacing of your wordings are just perfect. God bless you!
Thank you so much for this awesome comment. I really appreciate the feedback and its great to hear that both the material I present and the style that I present is received so well.
You have outstanding presentation. You make a great difference in people's lives and you should cherish your career. I thank you so much for your work.
Thank you so much for making this. This is by far the scariest algorithm for me since when I was a nurse we just kind of follow instructions, but now in med school and after I am going to hold a LOT more responsibility and its scary for me personally. Not BLS thats pretty ez, ACLS and PALS. Also: I use WAP by cardi b now, im old so staying alive was the go to for 100bpm but wap is just too good
Hahaha thats awesome! And yeah ACLS is def some scary times. Obviously someones life is really on the line and it helps the stress level if you aren't stressing about what you are supposed to do with the algorithm for sure.
These videos are awesome! I’ve watched several already. I have some critical care experience but am about to get back into doing it full time. These have been a wonderful resource!!
Thank you so much for all of your videos! They are aiding me through understanding nursing school and getting me excited about my journey into the ICU. It’s really great content and I love the icons style.
Thanks for making these videos it helps a person like my self who needs all types of ways to retain information...your so smooth in you speech and presentation...its easy to watch and retain information....
Liked and subscribed. These videos are great, they helped me learn much more than the online class I took. And they will keep the information fresh in my mind in between certifications.
Great refresher. One question: w/o an advanced airway, isn't it 30:2 compression to ventilation ratio? And then only 1 every 6 seconds after an airway is secured?
Thank you so much Barbara. I certainly try my best to cover it all as well as I can and to still try and keep it simple and understandable. Glad it was well received. :)
Very nice video, I like the hand writing style gives me the feeling I am in a class room so I focus more than flashy videos One question thought. What app did you use for the hand writing style presentation? Thanks again for the info
Glad you liked it! I always enjoyed these style of videos so I wanted to do my own. I use Adobe Photoshop on my computer. I screen cast to an iPad and write on there with the Apple Pencil. Pretty simple setup.
Quick question 🙋♂️ during the alcs megacode training should i ask the IV/IO nurse to initiate IV line right away or should i wait after the first shock was given before inserting an iv access? And can i ask the iv nurse to extract blood sample as well to rule out for hypo/hyperkalemia? Thanks
I just graduated and I wanted to prepare myself to learn all about ACLS, and this is so far the most helpful! Thank you so much for making this, now, onto the next! SUBSCRIBED!

Mr. Watson, I'm a new grad cardiac RN. THANK YOU SIR FOR YOUR VIDEOS! They are beyond helpful for me learning.
I'm joining the ED now and they assigned me RQI ALS online modules where it's a waste of my time. You explained things I need to know in these short videos and I can actually absorb, vs me sitting in front of these modules reading and having words fly over my head. Thank you!
Yeah I was never a fan of just reading things. I needed to hear and see them myself. Glad these have been helpful for you!

Thank you for speaking clearly and in an organized fashion. You are easy to follow this way and assist in GAP filling missing pieces. Great video!!

When we "check for pulse" this implies that you FEEL the blood pressure associated with the pulse of the rhythm. Most accurately at the carotid.
I just finished taking my acls & some of the lingering questions I have were answered. Thank you!
watching your videos during my RN residency has helped so much!!! THANK YOU
So cool!! Glad to be able to help.

Great refresher. One question: w/o an advanced airway, isn't it 30:2 compression to ventilation ratio? And then only 1 every 6 seconds after an airway is secured?
Smooth Criminal by MJ…”Anne are you OK?” is my favorite compression song.

Eddie - is there a special CPR protocol for folks with osteogenesis imperfecta or advanced osteoporosis? Nothing puts a damper on high-quality CPR than the sound of cracking ribs........
Not that I've heard. Unfortuantely cracking ribs, especially in the elderly, is quite common.
