I truly appreciate that you show the same stitch pattern worked with 3 different yarns colors. When I first started watching your tutorials, it didn't mean much. However, viewing this video I clearly see how the cable and braid pattern disappears in the multi-colored yarn. So very, very helpful when choosing yarn for crochet projects. Thank you so much for including these comparisons in your videos!!!
Ms Grandma thank u so much for the way you explained how to work this stitch. I really wanted to learn this , but was afraid I would become frustrated and watching some other videos confused me. You made this so easy and you made my day. Thank u so much.
Been crocheting for 45+ years and I can’t make cables till save my life!! It is on my “bucket” list. Thanks for helping me get a step closer!! That third sample is absolutely gorgeous!! I love the self-striping that still comes thru to enhance the pattern! Plus, I adore all shades of blue!!
You make this so easy for me! I taught myself to crochet after I had surgery for brain cancer and i still struggle 13 yrs later. You make this easy for me....than you!
Ms Glenda, it was intimidating at first, the more I watched and followed the better it got. Thank you for your calm voice and way of instructing. It really helps me.
Hello 😀 Thank you for all the teachings of stitches you do I do try to do as much as I can do with your stitch of the week But I’m not very good But thanks to you I’m getting better 😀
I so look forward to your stitch of the week and all videos. I got a handmade wooden yarn bowl for Christmas from my daughter. Your videos help me to feel confident again. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS.
I love how it turns out in your blue self striping yarn 🧶. Maybe because I love glitter yarn 🥰 I wanna try this stitch for a shawl! I think my ladies will love it 😍
I never thought I could make sense of cables and braids, but I’ve just been successful by watching your video. Thank you so much for taking the time to post this for us, much appreciated
Hello my friend! I do agree that this really is a lovely pattern and the way you relay the directions is reassuring me that I CAN DO IT ! THANK YOU GLENDA!
Thank you for all your beautiful stitches, I make a swatches of your stitches and send them to my mom in rural Wisconsin so she can learn them as well.
I've been crocheting for over 40 years and never done a swatch. This stitch pattern looks so gorgeous, that I had to try it. I love the complicated look, but easy execution! I decided I can't stop.lol It will become a panel for a cardigan. Love this Glenda Happy New Year!🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊
I'm. Going to try this with some cotton yarn and scrubby yarn to make some cute decorative towels and wash cloth would make a cute talkative kitchen item.
Oh this stitch is so so beautiful and I love it with the magic glitz! I have a glitz cake at home might be making something with this stitch! Thanks Glenda!

Hello Glenda, as always, a fantastic video 🥰 and a wonderful stitch🧶 But what I wanted to say is, I noticed that in many videos, not only yours also others, there is minimum 1 dislike, that has to be a TROLL, the videos are really good with the explanations and always a dislike??? That cannot be!!! I am very disappointed with YT, they make it so hard for good video makers but give TROLLS an easy platform to express themselves
This is beautiful! I so deeply appreciate all of your Stitch of the Week tutorials. I have so many saved for my future work, this one will soon be used - I don't know yet if it'll be a blanket or if I'll figure out a pull over sweater, but thank you so much for teaching us this easy version for cables and braids
Thank you Glenda for this wonderful tutorial. I have never been able to do the cable stitch, but I think with this great tutorial I might just get it right! You’re a great teacher that I appreciate very much. Also thank you for showing us the samples of the various colors & how they work up. Have a blessed New Year 😊
I love this pattern. Can you recommend a border stitch for this Ms. Glenda? Thank you so much for taking time to explain. It makes it much easier. My next project indeed :-)
You are right, it is an easy pattern to work. I also tried with a "J" hook and it looked the same. But when I tried to sub HD's for DC's and pulled up DC's for TC's it looked undefined and lost it's crispness. It is a great pattern as is, but I just Had to try other things with it. It is how I am.
I really appreciate your stitch of the week videos. I'm wondering about when to use a single/double starting row, rather than a chain row then a double/single stitch as the 2nd row? Is there some time when it's best to use one or the other method in a project?
so If I was making a blanket, (baby, ) and just say sets of 8 plus 4, so would it be say 8x8=64 plus 4 to give me 68,,,,,,, or is it 8 plus 4, 8 plus 4 all the way across,,,,,, this is just ex.

Your work is so even I can’t believe how straight your rows are...I have been crocheting about 30 years and never ever ever work so straight!
Ms Grandma thank u so much for the way you explained how to work this stitch. I really wanted to learn this , but was afraid I would become frustrated and watching some other videos confused me. You made this so easy and you made my day. Thank u so much.
Such fan of cables.
Excelente tutorial !!!!! Felicitaciones Profesora GRACIAS !!!!
Solid color is best for this pattern
I am using this stitch to make a scarf. This tutorial is the perfect width for the scarf I am making.

Jy Good if I’m understanding the question correctly-I’m needing to know this as well.

GLENDA - Hi - WHERE DO WE POST THE 2020 CHALLENGE???
Hi Glenda how are you? I have a question The ice yarn tube cotton jumbo it’s a similar The Bernard blanket big ball yard? And a machine wash and dry?

Do u block your throws? if so how do u do it?
I love this stitch but found it is curling is this normal?
btw glenda,,,,,, it's betty conway, had to change my name to a nickname for another site,,,,,,,,,,,,
so If I was making a blanket, (baby, ) and just say sets of 8 plus 4, so would it be say 8x8=64 plus 4 to give me 68,,,,,,, or is it 8 plus 4, 8 plus 4 all the way across,,,,,, this is just ex.
it would be 8 x 8 = 64 then add 4 so 8 x how many sections then add 4 8 x 10 = 80 plus 4 = 84 8 x 20 = 160 plus 4 = 164 etc. I hope this helps.
@@CreativeGrandma hi glenda, it's betty and yes very helpful,,,,,,,, love this , going to try it one day
