    Hi Glenda! I love that you hold your hook like a pencil! That is the way I was taught by my Italian great grandmother when I was 13 years old. Been crocheting that way for over 50+ years now. I don't see many people holding the hook like us. I was also taught with a steel hook. I made about 20 pillows that summer at the beach. My uncle fell in love with a popcorn stich pillow and bought many skeins of yarn for me to make so many pillows! Thank you for this lovely shell stitch pattern, Glenda, I just love a pretty shell! 💝

    Never too many hooks. Guessing you have 45 hooks. I also love the clover hooks but they are too short for me.😊

  • @donnabush7938

    I love the white sample! You mentioned that you used a 2 weight yarn, and it would be great for a sweater. Do you have any sweater patterns using that weight yarn? The only ones I can find are all made with a 4 weight. Thank you for another great video!

    • @CreativeGrandma
      @CreativeGrandma  Год назад +1

      Donna I am sorry I do not have any sweater patterns made using that weight of yarn. I would suggest looking on premier or universal yarn website at their patterns. Since the white sample is Universal yarns you may find a pattern for sweater their. I hope this helps.

    Will this also work with a 7 DC shell? I love your pattern, it's so much easier than a lot I have watched. You make it seem so much easier...and it looks better than the one I've been doing...lol. I'm pulling it all out and restarting!!!

    • @lpsoceansky8870
      @lpsoceansky8870 Год назад

      Oops, sorry. Autocorrect capitalized dc and I didn't catch it.

    • @CreativeGrandma
      @CreativeGrandma  Год назад

      The extra 2 sts in each shell might be to many sts across and MIGHT make your work start to ruffle, depending on what yarn you are using,
      example a bulky weight. best to try a sample swatch before you begin anything big.

    Hi Glenda. Hope all is well. That white sample is absolutely gorgeous ( all of them are ) , but I like the white. Thank you for sharing. I wanted to ask how is Doris from Rose Cottage Studio is doing? If you know. Hope she's doing well. Hugs Donna 💜💙💜💙🫂

    Dear Creative Grandma,
    I absolutely love this pattern but I’m having a problem with it and I don’t understand why. My edges keep decreasing every time I add a new row. I took a picture but don’t know how to upload it from my phone. Do you have any suggestions for me?
    Thank you very much,
    Barbara
