    This is that stitch is what I’ve been working on and I’m making a baby blanket for my PL group.
    I’m doing it and six rows and then I switch colors and I do have a vera gated, a white blue and a yellow.
    I like the texture of it the way it looks and the way it feels I have used and I’ll hook but I was thinking about making it with a larger hook and I’ve used to DK weight four.
    I think all of my yarns are Red Heart yarns.
    I like yours with the peach or the coral, so there’s a incentive to make another .

      Hi, are you using a worsted weight? I’m wondering if it is a very heavy stitch if you use worsted.

    • @ymanajohnson5330
      @ymanajohnson5330 3 года назад +1

      @@CeeceeWhip Hi Chris, I did not use worsted weight yarn. The yarn I used is between a sport weight and a DK weight...too heavy to be sport and too light to be DK. I used an H hook. So, yes, it is a dense stitch. But that's what I wanted because this is a winter scarf made with wool yarn. I think if you use a larger hook (by 2 sizes) than is recommended for your yarn, you will get a less dense stitch which is nice and drapey. I really like the edges of this scarf. It almost looks like a picot along the row-end sides. It's so pretty with lots of texture and it's very easy. Pay attention to the ends and beginnings of the rows because if you do it right, it's really lovely. I hope that helps.

    • @CeeceeWhip
      @CeeceeWhip 3 года назад

      @@ymanajohnson5330 Thank you so much for this feedback. I have plenty of both weight yarns to try this in a blanket. How big I’m not sure since you mentioned the edges look great as is. I can keep going without needing extra finishing. Thanks again👍🏼

    Thank you for this tutorial! I just used this stitch for a lovely mat for my keurig machine so it will slide easily on my counter. Finished with a SC border. I was impressed by how nicely the mat lays flat and is just the right thickness. (Either due to the stitch or the yarn or both) I used Lily sugar n cream 4 ply worsted 100%cotton in black, about 115 yards for a 7 1/2” x 16” mat.
