Thank you so much for this video! You are a wonderful teacher, I love you did that type of yarn also, it really helped me to see exactly what you were doing. I had tried learning this stitch by someone else's video (before I found you), they didn't know the name of the stitch & I had to keep watching over & over, wondering why I wasn't getting it. I think, I just didn't get their way of teaching & the type of yarn they used made it harder to see. I'm so happy to know this stitch now, I love the texture of it & have made 2 potholders this week with it! Have a great day!
You honestly got me addicted to this Suzette stitch☺️! I am making blanket scarves, and even though this stitch takes up a bit more yarn, than the lemon stitch, which is the normal stitch for this scarf, it’s allowing me to have the perfect length. It’s crazy, how one stitch can make the same project look longer and a different stitch can make it the same length, but it looks shorter😊. Thank you so much for sharing how to make this beautiful stitch☺️☺️!!
In a book I've had for decades, this is called the moss stitch (sort of). The stitches are made in the dc, not the sc. But I always liked the way you do it and called it the modified moss stitch. 😊
Yes. Any textured stitch will consume more yarn than a straight double crochet, but this is a light texture so it doesn't consume as much as some other heavier textures.
I love how you are showing the symbols for the stitches, thank you ❤
Glad you like them! My husband actually draws them up on the computer and puts them in for me.
Flawless instructions, thank you so much❤
I'm so glad you found it helpful!
Thanks for doing a foundation row of sc. It makes it easier to add a border. Well done!
You’re welcome 😊
My all time favourite stitch as well. So versatile 💜🇬🇧
Yes, it is perfect for everything!

Thank you. I will be using this yarn and the stitch symbols for more stitch tutorials.
Love this pattern. It is now my favorite and making more for both friends and the homeless.
That is wonderful!!

That works! I knew there was other names for it. It some old books they just say texture stitch 1 and texture stitch 2.
Does this stitch consume more yarn as opposed to double crochet stitches alone?
Yes. Any textured stitch will consume more yarn than a straight double crochet, but this is a light texture so it doesn't consume as much as some other heavier textures.
Is it still a Suzette stitch if you start with a double, then single, in the same stitch? That’s what I mistakenly did
The pattern should still work but you might call it a reverse suzette stitch.
It's called the Suzette Stitch
Yes it is. The name is in the video title and it is one of my favorite stitches.
