I love it Glenda! Another got to try! I’ve been working on a blanket for months now. You know how excited I am now that it’s close to being done? I’m looking to start something new. A new pattern, stitch!
Hi Glenda ! We met in the hobby lobby near you , a few months ago … thank you for your great tutorials , I feel so inspired , like I can create anything . Your the best , enjoy fall
Oooo, love this!! I absolutely do not need a new project, but I might just have to try this one out. Amazing how different the stitch looks in different yarns. Thank you very much!!❤
I’m so glad I found this tutorial. I actually just purchased 4 skeins of the LB Bundle of Love in colorway Sweater Weather and have been looking for a stitch that would be perfect. Thank you so much.
Hi Glenda! This pattern will work perfect for a blanket I’m making with the Premier Puzzle Yarns. I bought three skeins of the basic of similar colors that I wanted to do an edging on either end of the blanket. When I’m done, I’ll post it. 👍🏻 thank you for sharing have a good day🌸😮
this stitch truly is fast and fun. I loved practicing with it and trying it out. Only one problem, it leaned to the left severely. This is because the wattle stitch leans toward the left and does not repeat on the backside to offset this . A decent substitute is a standard V stitch would be a good replacement for the wattle stitch part.
Hola, Glenda. I have to use a bigger hook to make the chain row. If I do not do this the bottom comes out smaller than the top. Does anyone else have to do this?
It’s amazing how the yarn itself can determine what the pattern will look like.

❤Very pretty ❤
This is called the wattle stitch. Usually there are two skipped stitches so it can lay down. But I have done it with one skipped stitch.
No, sorry this is NOT the wattle stitch. The wattle stitch is very similar to a Suzette with a chain stitch between the single and the double crochet.
It definitely is, look again, or listen.
You are correct for the first row only
The only row in question, thank you.
💕🙏🏼🌷 Thank you for sharing
the wattle stitch
Hola, Glenda. I have to use a bigger hook to make the chain row. If I do not do this the bottom comes out smaller than the top. Does anyone else have to do this?
I usually use a larger hook for my starting chain.
Oh yes. It’s a very common practice mentioned often in tutorials.
