Every interview of David Cassidy or profile of him that I've seen of him dealing with fans shows him very pleasant, accommodating and seemingly very happy. However, he did have inner demons (eg. not having a positive father-son relationship that he should have had, not having the rock career he so wanted) which we all have and tapes of him talking with friend Elliot Mintz indicates that he pretty much internalized his frustration and drank too much, with two DUI's that I know of. While doctors may have said they waiting listed him for a donor liver I can tell you from my experience in healthcare that elderly people with a history of alcoholism are the lowest on the list for a liver transplant. I'm sorry he had a troubled life. I have always told my two late teen sons on a daily basis that I love them and never turn down any request they make for help. Cassidy deserved so much better in life. P.S. - At no time in his life did he earn or was worth $300. million. In fact, in 2015, at age 65 and debilitated he had to sell his beloved Lauderdale home to satisfy bankruptcy and divorce support obligations.
At one time, David was worth well over 6 million. He had to sue Sony and still didn't receive anywhere near what he should have money wise. He only had to claim Chapter 11 bankruptcy because David and Sue were divorcing. Chapter 11 made it much easier for them to split their large estate. The young lady in this video that they claim is his daughter, Katie Cassidy, is not her. Yes, David had his demons. We all do. He was self medicating with alcohol and drugs. He actually had 3 DUIs. He did at least 2 or 3 rounds in rehab, however I think he was there to please others more than anything. I believe that he was, also, very ashamed about his addictions. That's why he covered his actions by saying he had dementia. No, he had alcohol poisoning. He admitted to it all. David was only 67 years old. I can tell you, personally, that the Drs were waiting on a Liver. Larry Hagman, also had a Liver Transplant due to an Alcoholic Liver. It's my understanding that David had a seizure and that's when they had to put him in another medically induced coma. His body would never be able to survive the long surgery of Transplantation and recovery. That's a very difficult roller coaster ride. I've been a fan of Davids' for 50 years. Since his passing, I've talked with people who literally loved and adored him. I can say that if anyone judges David for his way of life, didn't know David. David Bruce Cassidy is very much loved and missed by his long time fans. I know a few of the people close to him miss and love him, too.❤️
From something that I’ve read actually recently, stated that there was some kind of pension, retirement and combination of life insurance is that were discovered later post court bankruptcy. Allegedly he had some kind of pension or some thing and this was the bulk of that. I understand his son does have some thing that was found. Irregardless my hope and prayer would’ve been for a better relationship, but unfortunately each of us struggles with some kind of thorn in our side. I had the enjoyment of watching his concert in Ocean City Maryland many years ago.I hope he does know how valuable and sustaining his music was to many.
David Cassidy made the creators of the Partridge Family show about half a billion for being Keith Partridge in merchandising, and other business enterprises. He saw none of that from his first contract he signed as a minor. And very little of that from his renegotiated contract because he simply never had the right people looking after his business interests. When David toured the world performing he brought in billions and made millions. At the height of his fame, he was never taught how to use that as leverage for crossing over to a more serious career as an actor and performer and making more money. This was his pro ambition and downfall. Again, the wrong people and you lose your fortune. And being unhappy, an alcoholic, in denial, and not getting the right pro help offered him, was the other reason he lost his fortune. From his own words backed up by family, he was damaged by his parents divorce, never accepted and truly loved by his jealous, alcoholic father, Jack, and his mother, did the best she could until she got dementia. The pattern is that so many rich and famous people have these same, similar, different, stories, and live this out in the public eye, fall through the cracks and end up dead. We need to have better intervention and prevention processes through law, the courts, etc. RIP David. Hope you finally find everlasting happiness and love in this new world, wherever it is and your spirit is.
Net worth isn't the same as actual money in the bank. Net worth is just a way of saying how much has a person earned in their entire lifetime. It doesn't mean that person has that money now or ever at one time. Combination of his concert money, his sitcom money is theater money and then the money he earned during his comeback that includes MGM in Las Vegas for several years. A couple of movies, some more records and then being on the road with his shows. He could very well have earned that kind of money during his entire lifetime.

Thank you for this video on David Cassidy's life , it's nice to see that parts of his life were good before he passed .

He was NOT worth $300,000,000.00. Is any of the information you've posted accurate?

i am sure after his returns to the world many people would say no
Explain, please.
What?
Not much accurate information!
One car was from a Partridge Family episode. Get the facts straight!!
All the money in the world and we lost him did not makes him happy
Didn't the D.C. actually realise how embarrassing his performances were until his death?
He was in de Island and should have accepted pro help. He's not here to defend himself, so why criticize him, he never harmed you.
This music was so irritating ...
