The Partridge Family was great show, I never missed an episode. I'm glad it was on when I was young. I would love to be back in that time again, the 70's was my favorite decade. Looking back, the song I overlooked then I appreciate the most now. Not sure about how you feel about it. The song is "Echo Valley 26809" - written by the guy who wrote "Him," the hit in 1979 that Streisand liked so much.
So glad David seemed to finally make peace with his legacy before he passed away. The show and the music are an important part of American popular culture and shouldn’t be dismissed lightly.

Mind you, that may be just through the eyes of a child/teenager. If I could ask my late Mum and Dad, I don't think they would regard the 70's as care-free what with the strikes and 3-day week, and living by candlelight due to the enforced power cuts, 1973/4 I think. But going to work in the mid/late 70s used to be a pleasure. I fell in love with David at 13 in 1970 and loved him ever since. What a tragedy to see David's lovely humour and speaking of bringing light in to peoples' lives in this interview and to think of his rapid decline in health after that. Oh my goodness, I have so many wonderful memories that flash into my mind. My girlfriend who became my wife listened to David when we were courting. We have been happily married for the last 50 years…all really wonderful
I had a crush on David Cassidy from the Partridge Family, Christopher Knight who played Peter on the Brady Bunch and Davie Jones from the Monkees back in the 70's💗
One of the best 70's family show. It was comedy, family show, with the added singing of hit songs at the end. Frankly, I thought " I'll Meet You Halfway ", was a great song and I still listen to it once in a while.
I was the same age as Danny. We were 10 when the show started. I was such a messed up kid who was unmercifully bullied at school. As the song went "Come on get happy" and I did! I use to pretend I was part of them. My 2 favorite shows back then were this show and the Brady Bunch!! Loved these guys!
BULLYING is as old as time. I was bullied for being a shy, skinny reddish haired twin gal back then. It's just HOW kids OVERREACT to it now. My G-d, just get help, or even quit, or better yet, ignore them and do your schoolwork!

I know that David knew he was loved & adored by millions, but I doubt that he ever thought about (or realized) magnitude & effect that his death would have, on probably more then half of the world! When I was 8, in 1971, my friend, Ginger, and I played like we were the Partridge Family. I was Keith, she was Laurie. Our older brothers Lin and Mark, were Three Dog Night and chased us around the yard. So much fun, and such great memories! Ginger was my first girlfriend, and the first girl that I ever kissed.

I'm 63 now, I live in Bisbee Arizona and rumor has it a ex- wife of Danny's lives here. I'm really excited to even share the same town with her even though I've never met her! David was sexy butt sorry buddy there was a whole lot of long hairs out of the time and lots to choose from. I always wondered how Susan put up with all your crazy kids and how Mom managed to keep a smile on her face and that beautiful hair dude no matter what. Very inspirational to us single moms all around the world I'm sure hahaha thanks for having the show and I hope Danny's doing better of course word gets around God bless everyone and peace out😎✌️

I loved this show as a kid. Music was lighthearted but fun. David Cassidy seems like he was a sweet guy. He made a lot of us happy. May he Rest In Peace.
Hi Liz
Hello 👋 how're you doing?
Rip Dave grew up with ya Thanks for the memories
RIP DAVID CASSIDY AND SUZANNE CROUGH THANKYOU FOR YOUR BEAUTIFUL TALENTED MAY GOD LOOK AFTER YOU IN HEAVEN AND KEEP PROTECTING YOUR FAMILIES
Hi Danny
The Partridge Family was a great show and I always looked forward to seeing it every day. Never goes out of style. Loved David like an older brother. Great music 👌👍.
Oh my goodness, I have so many wonderful memories that flash into my mind. My girlfriend who became my wife listened to David when we were courting. We have been happily married for the last 50 years…all really wonderful
Laurie was one of my earliest crushes. Her, Marsha Brady and Batgirl.
Jeff Cooke Laurie was one of my earliest crushes and still is. We are the same age
Cute story 👍
yes they were good times. I was not bullied will high school
I'm a month younger than Danny Bonaduce. I remember watching on that Friday night in 1970 when it premiered ❤️
Me too. And I have reddish blonde hair to his bright red.
BULLYING is as old as time. I was bullied for being a shy, skinny reddish haired twin gal back then. It's just HOW kids OVERREACT to it now. My G-d, just get help, or even quit, or better yet, ignore them and do your schoolwork!
Went to see David when i was 14.at Wembley, a great memory. So sad he 's gone too soon.
This aired on my birthday,March 2,2010. David,Suzanne and Dave will be missed.
Still have The Partridge Family lunch boxes to this day! There were four of us kids and we had three Partridge Family and one Wile E. Coyote!
A time when things were SO much simpler. What a dangerous, nasty and hateful world we live in now!
Amen! I was a little girl in the 70's, but I remember it being a much better decade than the one we're living in now.
There was as much danger then as today but communications have exploded and it seems worse than back then.
Actually this was the Vietnam era. A very tumultuous period for our country.
We didn’t have school shootings and shootings in concerts, nightclubs and terrorist attacks in the 70’s. It was much better and safer.
Because we did not have the internet, cell phones and CNN... Now people know if they want to get noticed shoot up a school and CNN will put them on tv for years to come. Terrorist have been attacking more then 30 years ago, just hit America harder in the past few years. But I guess if it does not happen in your country it just does not count.
Thanks So Much To Shirley, David, Susan(Sorry David), Danny, Brian, Suzanne and Dave(Rueben).........Thank You all so much for making so many families and kids so happy in the 70's and beyond you made our childhoods great!!!!!!!!!! Don't also forget you made many people's Christmases with your Christmas album. Great Memories for so many of us......Be so Proud all of you!!!!! RIP David Cassidy, Suzanne Crough and Dave Madden you are all missed dearly.
Your speaking for me as well
David Cassidy was so dang CUTE!
I was a teenager in the 70's, was the best time of my life.

The Partridge Family was a great show to watch back in the 70s and I still love to watch it I ❤ the songs too
David Cassidy! Absolutely heart breaking
I'm still watching them today 🧿🎵🧿🎶🧿 and I'm 62
I saw every show in the 70s I thought they were so cool!! Bought every one of their albums!!.
I LIVED for this show. Such good simple and innocent times. ❤
THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY IN WAS MY FAVORITE SHOW!!!! I'VE SEEN EVERY SINGLE EPISODE!!!!!!!💖😀😍💝🤩☺️♥️
I grew up watching The Partridge Family. I loved it. The world was a better place back then. I know times change, but i would love to go back to the 1970’s. ❤️
RIP David ...great great memories.
So difficult to imagine that 7 years after this interview, DC is no longer with us -- a cultural icon he remains -- God bless him😍
Now that DC has passed away, i wonder if Susan Dey now regrets not appearing on that reunion. What a stuck up b*tch she became.
@@gc4644 Do you know her? You have the correct amount of stupidity to be an idiot.
Guy Conklin you have no clue as to WHY Susan did not participate in these reunions
And Tracey’s gone too. RIP
david such a talent, r.i.p. david
I watched every episode so many times. Great memories.
As a teenager in the U.K. 🇬🇧 I loved david Cassidy and the partridge family this was amazing 😉 along with banana splits xx
Bannana Splits was funny. Glad you liked our American Pop Culture it was fun watching these shows :) Cant forget Eight is enough and other shows
this show did help me deal with some bad family issues growing up thanks!!!
Love you the Partridge Family! Ride on!
I was born in 1960 and grew up with the Vietnam War. The Partridge Family gave me and many other kids an escape. And I had a crush on David Cassidy to die for!! ❤
RIP David...yes u did bring light!
Looked forward to this show as a kid. Songs hold up. David was a true talent
rip david my blessing goes out to the family david has a beautiful voice I love all the songs but my number one song is i think i love u
How lovely to watch this 💔💔💔
Like everyone else I wish someone could have helped him, this precious beautiful man that has now gone from our lives, i still can't believe he's gone xx
On Friday it will be 10months since he left us and it still hurts so bad 😥😥😥
RIP David xx love and miss you so much xx
Wendy Dunn --hello Wendy. How are you doing? I also can't believe that it's been 10 months since our precious David left us. It seems like it was just a week or two ago that they said on my local news that David Cassidy was in the hospital in critical condition! And I was praying for him to get better! Every time I thought about David (which was a lot), I prayed for him. After he'd been in the hospital for 3 days and the news said that he had passed away....I felt like my world (and teenage years) had fallen apart!!! 💔💔😭😭
@@starrbrannon3883 Hello Starr xx
I know the time passes so quickly, almost 1 year 😥😥😥
We never heard it on the news in the UK , it was in the national Sunday papers, and apparently on fb ( my friend told me as I don't go on fb) there was posts on that that he had passed all day Sunday and Monday, till he eventually left us 😥💔
I still can't believe he's gone xx
I think I will struggle with this for a very long time xx
Like you say we've lost a big part of our teenage years, but thank God for RUclips 💔💔😥😥😞😞
@@starrbrannon3883 I just want to add that it was shown on our news after he passed a little clip of 70's concert and Cassidymania, and the radio stations played a lot of his music that day, so that was nice, we feel very left out over here, because we have never got much about him xx
Wendy Dunn like you Wendy, I will also struggle with his loss for years. Aside from my father & husband, David is the greatest loss that I have ever had in my 56 years of life!! I know that David knew he was loved & adored by millions, but I doubt that he ever thought about (or realized) magnitude & effect that his death would have, on probably more then half of the world! And that ALL of us would still be seriously grieving his loss almost a year later.
@@starrbrannon3883 that's true Starr, i didn't realise how hard it was going to hit me, and how long it was going to take to get over 💔💔 I hope wherever he is he can see the huge amount of love there is for him ❤❤
So nice to see the gang 👍😀 They all look happy 😀👍😀👍 Thanks for being part of our childhood 💜💜💜
70's were ok till about 77, but the 60's for me was the best, soooo simple just watch tv with family, then play outside all day
Saw him in Vegas. When he sang I think I love u I felt like a kid again. Crush on him. Gone to soon
Yes, the 60's -I have those same memories 💖
This showed aired on September 25, 1970. Our family moved 4 months later. I was 11 when it first aired but I don’t remember it from my former home. Only the home we moved to. It had such catchy songs and a great cast. David Cassidy & Susan Dey were gorgeous.
Great time to be growing up...we were damn lucky !!!
VERY
They just showed the last and first Partridge Family episodes on Antennae TV this week. It was cool to see them back to back.
Hi Susan
When I was 8, in 1971, my friend, Ginger, and I played like we were the Partridge Family. I was Keith, she was Laurie. Our older brothers Lin and Mark, were Three Dog Night and chased us around the yard. So much fun, and such great memories! Ginger was my first girlfriend, and the first girl that I ever kissed.
Very fun times
They feel like part of our family. Great interview!
I miss this.....I loved growing up with this. I truly miss David Cassidy. Very sad about Suzanne Crough.
Thanks for GREAT MEMORIES!!!!
Hi dorinda
We need more shows like this and not what is being showed cause i miss them so david still love you well rip david cassidy
I grew up with the Partridge Family and as a fellow redhead I've got to say that Danny was my favorite characte, I totally relate to the red headed stepchild syndrome!
