My wife and I met Danny and let me tell you he was a down to earth kind human being. My wife and I said afterwards that we could see him at one of our bbqs. That's how great he was. David ,rest in peace and GOD bless you.
Danny's been sober so long now that it's very clear how much his personality has changed. He's so much more grounded than he ever used to be. He's gracious and polite and focused here, and he's clearly deeply in grief, but bearing up very well.
Very true. Saw him at a Seattle restaurant recently. I said a quick hello. He shook my hand and introduced me to his wife who was there with him. Very gracious.
Bianchi- are you serious? It's sad when people pass, but a part of all of us died. A little bit of an exaggeration.Bet you will really be distraught, at the passing of Carrot Top. NOT demeaning David's death. Not like he was Dr. Salk.
I'm 57 and I'm still a Fan of the show, and I'm Proud to say a Floridian like David Cassidy was. Great to hear from Danny Bonaduce , may God keep Danny healthy and safe. R.I.P. David Cassidy.
We lost Dave Madden (Rubin Kincaid) in 2014, and Suzanne Crough (Tracy) in 2015, and now David Cassidy. Who would have thought years ago that Danny Bonaduce would out-live them all. Stay well Danny!
patty 8873 Shirley definitely has some great genes, in recent interviews her long term memory is slipping which goes with the territory at 83. But she’s going strong.
David Young well, Dave madden was 82, when he passed away, so if Danny doesn't live longer, you can't say he outlived him. By the way, Danny was born August of 1959, I was born July of 59, I wonder if I'll read his obituary someday, or maybe I'll go first!
I love Danny, and I'm so happy that he knew how much David loved him. I'm also glad they supported each other! We all need that kind of friend xoxo GODSPEED DAVID!! xo
Rose Petal God Speed? To David? Where? He was already dead! Danny found out he was on life support when he arrived in Rome! He died approx. 3 days later....
Danny spent a lot of time at the Jones/Cassidy house on weekends during the Partridge Family run in the early 70s. Shirley Jones knew she had to step in and take Danny away from his abusive father. Sean Cassidy and Danny are just a year apart. That was nice of Sean to share that (your David's other brother) with Danny.
David cassidy was so extremely talented, beautiful, unique, natural voice, musician, acting, whole package...very sad he was mismanaged and had family difficulties
I’m so sorry for your loss Danny Bonaduce.. I had a chance to meet and get to know David as a friend in what ended up being the last 3 years of his life.. He had a profound impact on me, and was incredibly gracious and accepting.. I’ll remember him fondly.. RIP David you’re missed so much..❤️
That was really sweet of Danny to point out that David Cassidy truly was a sensitive, kind and caring man who loved his fans 'till the end. He was a bit of a lost soul ... he didn't know who he could trust and who really loved him, not just because of his fame. A beautiful man, inside and out, with so much talent who deserved so much better than he got in return from certain people. 💔
I love seeing inspiring people who have become sober and regained their life. I passed my 18 mo sober milestone and man, i have to wipe a tear from my eye when I get to witness others recover too. It’s a miracle and a blessing.
I love that Danny never lied about who he was/is. He admits he had a rough life but admitted his mistakes which we all have done. I feel bad for him because it's no fun losing friends.
Totally agree. He's very funny and so gracious and kind. I just saw the VH1 on the Partridge Family. Danny said really nice things about Brian Forrester who replaced Jeremy Gelbwacks as the youngest brother.
I love the Partridge Family. When I was growing up I watched it every day never missed an episode. David Cassidy was a great actor and singer. He was my idol back then. May he rest in peace. Its too bad we had to lose such a loved and talented guy so soon.
yeah, that was my life and I saw him at the tennis centre in Brisbane in 1974 when I was 14, my mum and my friend came with me and it was amazing- I was a few feet away from him and it is such a loss- it makes me feel sad
About a year ago, on some entertainment show, they were talking about David Cassidy having the beginnings of dementia and they showed a clip of David Cassidy to Danny where David is humming "I Think I Love You" to the interviewers because he was really struggling to remember the words. Danny Bonaduce had tears in his eyes. He was shocked at how much his friend had changed in just a short amount of time. I saw an interview with David Cassidy not that long ago, and his face looked very puffy . . . and then a few months later he was on Dr. Phil and his face was very drawn -- he looked so old. He aged even more in just a few months. He was dying. His organs were failing him and I have a feeling that's why he was struggling so much performing in those last few concerts. Not because he was drunk, but because his liver wasn't functioning because of all his past drinking -- and it was affecting his whole body, including his brain.
Danny, I am so glad you are doing well. Fond Chicago memories of the Loop radio station..you boxing Donnie Osmond, and never before, or since, have I tuned in to listen to a radio personality since you.
God bless you Danny. You have always been sincere and tried your best...David saw the light in you and so do I. Bless you and sorry for your loss of your friend.
Danny, it warms my heart knowing you are doing well. I am a few years younger than you, but I use to watch the Partridge family, when it was on. I have seen your high points and your low points, and I am glad you found a home in the Pacific Northwest. Patty, Steilacoom WA.
Danny you made David proud, I remember when you toured with David, I was there with my mom, brother, sister, great concert, you were great and said hello, got a pic with you and you were so nice to my mom.And you took a pic with her. You will do a exceptionally great if you honor David's wishes, write it, we want to hear from you. David cared about you Danny, and he took the time to help you, that's David Cassidy kindness and care.
I remember hearing that David Cassidy said something a little insulting to an audience in Wales about 20 years ago, and thinking that he was just a spoiled celebrity. It just goes to show you that you can never judge someone by a single act or statement. People make mistakes, and are much more complicated than that. He seemed to be a genuinely good, caring person.
@@l.a.french3063 I understand it was intended as a comment about the weather and was taken the wrong way. It bothered him so much he brought it up at another Uk concert some years later.
Next to David Cassidy's singing, Danny was a huge part of that show's success. He and Dave Madden played so well off of each other. Danny and Suzanne Crough's performances in the pilot episode when they relentlessly hounded Dave Madden's character ensured that the show got off to a successful start.
"We were on tv long before you were born." I love it! Needed to be said. I love this interview. Now that it has been about a week, I am doing better. I kept wishing his family well over Thanksgiving and each day just sending a little prayer to them. I hope he is at peace and happy. Take care everyone who misses David Cassidy. Loved him since I was 5.

Danny sounds very sincere and really has it altogether. David was a most helpful older brother and friend to him and really helped him a lot, and its tragic that David's health went so downhill and resulted in an early end for him. Fame carries a heavy price for some people.
You could see that Danny &David cared as "brothers " David also got the radio show for Danny that he is still on .Loved David he was so charming ,sexy and a beautiful person .When he spoke to you he made you feel like the most important person in the room .I would have given anything to have met him ,he is going to be missed .🌹
I love Danny! I love Shaun! I love David! I was born in 1970 so David had come and gone by the time I was old enough to pay attention, but I sure did love me some Shaun Cassidy back in the day! Such a loss to all who knew him and the talent, charisma he had will be remembered by those who grew up listening n watching him ..may future generations appreciate his talent and the guy he was ...may he be at peace ,happy n singing somewhere ...xoxo
kathy Danny, you are the definition of trusted brother. It doesn’t have anything to do with blood. You’re awesome. Don’t change. I have no doubt David appreciates all you say and do about him. He knew without thought that you were his bro, you could be trusted in the crazy world of fame

I’m glad Danny is on the radio. I wanted to hear him talk more too. Glad David helped him find his niche in life. I’m sure Danny is grateful to David for not just that but his friendship. It was so nice to hear those kind words from Danny. David would be so proud of his little brother.
I have always admired appreciated Danny's honesty about himself and others. He is genuine for sure. And he really does have a great sense of humour comedic timing.
You can tell he has a great respect for David. So great to see. I am 59 years old. I have every Partridge Family and David Cassidy record. Still listen to them.
Danny looks 110% different clean and sober. He looked like a street fighter before. Now he looks and sounds like a intelligent book writer. He looks great. Very inspirational. Im gonna try and stay sober.
My sister saw David Cassidy in a small venue a few years before he passed. Her experience was just as Danny described, a great show singing and sharing stories regardless of crowd size.
Every girl growing up and watching the Partridge Family had a major crush on David Cassidy. How could you not. And Danny you are amazing! I thought you were hilarious on that show! Best wishes !!!
Thank you for all the kindness and love you had to share for your Big TV Brother David Cassidy . Seems he was more like a true brother. May David RIP 💜😔🌹
Thanx for this ..very nice . Condolences Danny. We all feel like we know you as you all have been in our living rooms. Best wishes for your career in Seattle..Puget Sound is very beautiful.
Yep...I used to listen to it. WLUP (The Loop) if I'm not mistaken(?). The man was(is) very articulate. I kind of thought him then as a diamond in the rough. He'd do gonzo crazy stunts, and be always high energy, yet behind all the craziness, I could tell he was nobody's fool. I catch PF reruns every now and then today, and really appreciate how funny some of the dialogue was as written for the show. Danny interacting with Keith or Reuben was kind of priceless.
Got to give the Cassidy family props, they truly were the royalty of music/acting that started with their father and was passed on to the sons. David was the ageless heartthrob of the 21 century amazing singer and genius songwriter that wrote many hits for other people as well. He even got to do musical on Broadway with Shaun Cassidy. Gone too soon. R.I.P.
mad love for David Cassidy been loving him since 1970 his music and his voice it never went to his head you can just tell he had Charisma my Aries brother I love you
I loved listening to Danny on KZOK when I lived there. Danny was why I watched the Partridge Family!! Danny is a good guy and I love hearing about the friendship he and David had. David was crazy talented and taken too soon.
I had the pleasure of seeing David in concert three times, the first time I believe was in 1999. I remember being amazed at how the women who’d been fans of his-I was born in 1970 so no recollection of his stardom-really responded with such enthusiasm to put it quite mildly. I’d thought that David was indeed a great musician, and an amazing performer who kept his audience engaged. It seemed like in this interview, Danny was accepting of David’s passing...in February, David had mentioned of his dementia and there was also an interview in which he couldn’t even provide a clear answer-this was shown on RUclips but I’m not sure if it was released to the public because it was disheartening. Danny had seen it and was crying, saying that David was very brave having to face his dementia. Rest in peace David...we’ll always love you.
I saw David play the iconic MCG, Sunday March 10th 1974. The atmosphere was incredible. David’s full array of musicianship was on display that day; 60,000 people left the stadium that day hugely impressed by what they had witnessed….!
David may have experienced difficult times towards the end of his life, but he kept those boyish, youthful good looks and never stopped smiling. You will never be forgotten David, straight to Rock n Roll heaven xx
David Cassidy was a trauma survivor. His father was an alcoholic and was mean to his son, and David also experienced the divorce of his parents. And his fame brought complications to his life. We know a lot more than we used to about how unresolved childhood trauma affects a person over a lifetime. It isn't surprising that David Cassidy had problems with alcohol like his father did. It often works that way. RIP David.
Loved the brotherly relationship these guys had! David was great & kind to so many people! Loved that about him! Also loved watching Gunner Nelson (1 of Rick Nelson’s sons) Play w/David at a concert! Just an AWESOME guy who paid tribute to a lot of people we lost. So sorry he’s gone so soon! His family & close friends will be in my thoughts as each holiday goes by. ❤️🌹
David's dad Jack was like a second string Dean Martin. DavIid, however, was singular. If there was only one person to personify the "teen idol craze" that launched a thousand magazines it was David. Sure he had looks and air of cool, but he was actually talented too. The fact that life after being a teen icon is tough isn't David's fault. I'd say he was a total success as he never was homeless or suicidal no matter what the cruel turns of show-business threw his way. He was a winner.
Even when Danny was screwing up n headlining the tabloids, I don't think he realized that the world still loved him n we were on his side. Danny has always had this incredible personality, regardless of where he was in his life. It's 50yrs later n were still routing for Danny.
Interesting that Danny talked about the Cassidy family’s jealousy of David. I think that played a much bigger factor in David’s life in general, not just jealousy from his family but also from his peers and those he sought admiration and acceptance from. I feel like David didn’t realize how big a factor it was in his life. Love and miss you forever David Cassidy🤍🤍🤍
Danny is one of the really good ones in this world. He not only gets truthy about things, which might help someone else, in all the hours I've heard him on radio or TV I never heard him put down, ridicule, or demean anybody. There's not too many talk jocks you can say that about
Danny seems to keep it real...And he focuses on the positive times with David.... and is grateful when David helped him...Danny seems to be evolving into something better. Good for him... I am a fan.
Danny and I are the same age and I just adored this dude when I was young. The courage intelligence and street smarts that then 10 year old had is a thing of legend. Rubens little nemesis and genius at the same time.
Danny Bonaduce has made major strides in his lifetime. I am so proud of him!!!

Duane G. Shelton scoffed at David Cassidy; just for reading Playboy, did Pastor Sid Roth had to participate in the situation.
The Actor Lester Braddock/Mike Ontkin had the aptitude, in the Partridge Family comedy series.

Every girl growing up and watching the Partridge Family had a major crush on David Cassidy. How could you not. And Danny you are amazing! I thought you were hilarious on that show! Best wishes !!!
Him, Shaun, and Andy Gibb stole all of my mojo from 7 to 13...hated those guys. LOL
I got to meet David Cassidy !, such a great, nice and handsome man 💕I will miss him so much !
David probably not only saved Danny's life but was also smart enough to know bringing Danny along on tour was great for selling tickers.
A tru Loving Brother ❤️
Thank you for all the kindness and love you had to share for your Big TV Brother David Cassidy . Seems he was more like a true brother. May David RIP 💜😔🌹
Thank you Danny for your insight from a fan from way back who will never pass you way again, but appreciates you as a human being.Dave
David Cassidy was a great performer and kind to others--rare to find that out there
Thanx for this ..very nice .
Condolences Danny. We all feel like we know you as you all have been in our living rooms.
Best wishes for your career in Seattle..Puget Sound is very beautiful.
That is about real good friendship and brotherhood.
Danny had a radio show in Chicago in the late 80s , was a pretty good show. Glad to see him doing well and talk well of David.
Yes Wlup had a good show in tough radio town glad he is doing well. 70s seem like yesterday
He was always good to his guests, despite whatever else going on.
mad love for David Cassidy been loving him since 1970 his music and his voice it never went to his head you can just tell he had Charisma my Aries brother I love you
Thanks for sharing this, it shows how cool these two guys are. Blessingsxx
I loved listening to Danny on KZOK when I lived there. Danny was why I watched the Partridge Family!! Danny is a good guy and I love hearing about the friendship he and David had. David was crazy talented and taken too soon.
That’s a really nice tribute from Danny.
Wonderful, interview. I am so glad I got to see it.
RIP David.
And, his managers took advantage of his youth and stole all the $$$$$$$ he worked feverishly to earn. (concerts & television!)
Nice guy, Danny Bonaduce. We sure will miss adorable David. God bless him.
Truly a great Actor and Singer! Thanks for the memories, R.I.P David!
Nice that David & Danny were like brothers in real life. RIP David Cassidy.
Right on Danny................Beautiful interview!!! You and David were my time! Good times my brother!!!
This is such a nice tribute to David! I have read that they were very close!
Lovely comment..♥️
I miss you guys. Every Friday night I watched you
Glad to see Danny. Use to Listen to his Morning show on 102.5 when I was out in Seattle Every week. I called in to his show once .Miss Listening.
Danny seems like a Good Guy.
I’ve been rooting for Danny and was thrilled when he came to Seattle.
Danny is a realistic down to earth person . Best wishes to you brother !
Miss Dey with those eyes !!! I consider her eyes to be iconic 70s tv pop culture.
Danny is one of the really good ones in this world. He not only gets truthy about things, which might help someone else, in all the hours I've heard him on radio or TV I never heard him put down, ridicule, or demean anybody. There's not too many talk jocks you can say that about
Thank you, Danny, so amazingly gracious. All blessings to you, brother.
Danny seems to keep it real...And he focuses on the positive times with David.... and is grateful when David helped him...Danny seems to be evolving into something better. Good for him... I am a fan.
Thank You,Danny for the very caring tribute to your friend and co-star,David.
I am sure he will love you forever! ❤💔
Danny is a good guy too. Rest in peace David.
Danny and I are the same age and I just adored this dude when I was young. The courage intelligence and street smarts that then 10 year old had is a thing of legend. Rubens little nemesis and genius at the same time.
That was definitely from his heart. ❤️
