Ms Jones seems to have always been an exceptional person as well as being a great actor and singer. I just love her persona and all of her sons seen like lovely people. I can't help but feel sadness for David, for whom I like every young teen, adored from afar.
I was the bartender for their annual Christmas Day parties at Shirley and Marty's house in Encino after they moved to the valley from Beverly Hills. I live just down the 101 freeway about 6-8 miles, in Woodland Hills. The photo of the family gathered in the living room at the 13.29 mark of this video may have been at that home on the day I was there. I would be working out of this service bar that connected the kitchen to the main room, so most of the time I would be hanging out with the kitchen help for the afternoon. It was fun to play a small but integral role in their holiday festivities. Aside from the family being there, some celeb friends would be in attendance as well including Peter Marshall from Hollywood Squares, Bernie Kopell from Love Boat, and the actor, comedian and impressionist Frank Gorshin. Interesting though, of the times I worked the bar for them, their brother David never showed up. But he didn't live in town either so, I think he may have been living in Las Vegas at the time.
Cagney story: As a very young woman I was living in a tiny studio apartment in the high desert of California. My neighbor was an colorful elderly lady who had made hats for the Hollywood elite in her younger days. She had marvelous stories of her relationships with those stars. She was now in very reduced circumstances. Every few month a long black limo would pull up to our little apartment complex and my elderly neighbor would be assisted to the vehicle by the chauffeur. It was James Cagney, who never forgot their friendship and who would take her out to lunch in Palm Springs. They shared stories of the golden age of Hollywood and he treated her like a queen. That type of loyalty and class really impressed me.
I love that story it’s so rare that you come across beautiful people like that and the love and loyalty they have for each other is truly amazing . How sweet of him to take her to dinner and spend time with her that’s just wonderful .
James Carney was old school.Friends were to be cherished.Mr.Cagney came from a very simple background,he was devoted to his family,an extraordinary talent a real Yankee Doodle Dandy!
Oh those Cassidy men......SIMPLY IRRESISTABLE!!!!!!! Ryan reminds me so much of David.....his looks, his mannerisms, his voice, everyrhing really. I so enjoyed your interview with him. I am so impressed by Ryan. Now I have had crushes on Jack, David, Shaun, Patrick, and now Ryan. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What a FANTASTIC interview!!!! All of the Jack Cassidy/Shirley Jones boys were CLEARLY brought up right, which shows in every aspect of their lives!! Job well done Jack and Shirley!!!
Jack Cassidy was such an under appreciated actor! I watch him in the Columbo when he was a magician. A favorite episode. And Shirley Jones was so exquisite in Oklahoma, drove Rod Steiger crazy!
He seems like a positive attitude runs through his veins….thanks for sharing with us, Ryan. Your dad & my dad used alcohol as their ‘medicine’ of choice.
I am so glad I stumbled upon this video. I am a huge Cassidy fan - love them all! We do not see much of Ryan so this was a nice look into what a nice guy he is. So great to hear his inside look at the family, especially his mom Shirley Jones. She is a class act and always has been one of my favorite actresses.
Such an interesting interview. I'm a fan of Shirley & her sons. I remember Ryan from Facts of Life in the 80s. IIRC, Shaun once described Ryan as "Mr Personality". I guess he's a big talker. LOL! It's lovely how the boys really seem to love their mom. Jack Cassidy really was a tremendous talent. I always get a thrill when I see him in something, like a Columbo episode or The Eiger Sanction etc... There are a few clips of him singing here on RUclips.
This was absolutely brilliant. What an interesting man Ryan is. Shirley Jones is one incredible mother to have brought up and nurtured her three boys into the lovely men they are today. Notwithstanding the love and affection she gave to David too. She is an idol of mine and even though I’m 30 years younger than her she just represents what a wonderful mother should be. She comes across as a genuinely kind, extremely grounded and talented woman who is also truly humble. There aren’t many of her kind left these days. I am a fan of all the Cassidys and was a true teeny bopper who used to swoon over David. Later in life I realised how underrated he was and how hugely talented he was. Shaun equally is one amazingly talented man with a list as long as the Nile of achievements in his lifetime already. So pleased Danny Bonaduce got a mention too. His loyalty to David (and vice versa, David’s to him) was and is so admirable. This interview was so enlightening as I didn’t realise how much Ryan had achieved in his life too. Would love to see an interview with Patrick Cassidy now as I know little about him with the exception that he has a great voice. Shirley must be so proud of her family and rightly so. Just thank you so much for this wonderful piece it is greatly appreciated. XXX
Being raised in the 70's, I remember Jack Cassidy. It's remarkable how Ryan is Jack's spitting image. His voice isn't the same but the mirror image is the same. It was good to see Shirley Jones in photos, she's so beloved! "70's America's Mom" ❤
Outstanding Ryan, a.k.a. Charlee, well spoken everyone you spoke about you had no bad words only praise everyone in the world should be like that talented family everyone of you it was a pleasure watching this and my birthday is March 31. Also I will be ordering James Cagney babysitter book. God bless you. Don Klang PS I also watch the Brady Bunch and the partridge family Batman, leave it to Beaver, Opie, Barney and Sheriff Taylor.😇
What a genuinely nice guy Ryan is! Seems very grounded, thoughtful and kind. Also very well rounded and interested in things other than acting. Can totally see the resemblance to his dad Jack, David and the other brothers. Two of my favorite episodes of the great Columbo series had Jack as the guest star. He was just so good in those.
Ryan’s views about his brother David is so refreshing and not one bad word about how he lived his life or about his death. His gracefulness in talking about David’s alcoholism being a disease was spot on.! Thank you for sharing this interview.
Ryan Cassidy looks and sounds so much like David. What a great interview. Ryan is such a positive person, he is a great story teller, and speaks with such love about his brother and his friends.
I have been a fan of David Cassidy since the days of the Partridge Family, then became a fan of Shaun’s with The Hardy Boys. I probably knew the least about Ryan so this was a very interesting interview. I am now a huge fan of Ryan’s as well. He is so humble and well spoken like his brothers. Thanks for a great interview! Gotta love those Cassidy men!
These 3 sons of Jack Cassidy and Shirley Jones are such gentlemen! Shaun, Patrick and Ryan! Such genuine men. And of course, by extension, their brother David. Such sweet, gentle souls! So heartwarming to see!
Craig is such a great interviewer. He's compassionate, interested, and never dwells too long on anything. He is a fantastic, charming man. Another great interview.
Couldn't agree more Kim. He's great. I've now watched all of the interviews on here, and there's not a dud, so many really great things I didn't know about celebrities I thought I knew well.
I was madly in love with David Cassidy, God rest his soul❤ I had posters of him all over my bedroom. My grandmother was a big fan of Shirley Jones, who was (is) so beautiful & I admired her as well. Jack, Ryans father was so handsome & talented. Ryan is delightful.
My literal first crushes were David and Shaun…albums, posters, tshirts…they were just GORGEOUS!!! My mom came from the time during Shirley and Jack’s career height and you could not help but fall in love with this family❤️❤️❤️ Everything about them was just pure talent!! To this day seeing Shirley in all the musicals just makes me smile! Her voice is that of just magic! My favorite was Music Man! My only regret is not having seen the Cassidy brothers in their Broadway shoe Blood Brothers! I was in England when they were touring but tickets were so hard to get coz David was THE ONE to see! Thank you for this❤️❤️
Man, Craig you have to one of the best interviewers I've ever seen! You ask great questions and allow your guests to fully answer your questions without interrupting. I really appreciate that and can really appreciate your interviews even more! New subscriber!!❤❤🎉🎉 Thank you!!
Really enjoyed this. What a nice young man! I remember watching “Carousel” starring Shirley Jones when I was a kid. Loved her and her movies. Also enjoyed “The Partridge Family”.
G’Day Craig, Another great interview, really interesting, thank you. My all time fav though, is your interview with our wonderful Carlotta, I often re-watch that one.
Ryan is an amazing man. His personality and looks are so much like Patrick. I believe they are very much like their mother. Ryan is very sensitive and loving.. l believe David has very loving brothers. They all loved him very much.
It is amazing how much these cassidy men look like their Daddy,Patrick especially, David had the nose and eyes such handsome men. Shaun looks more like his momma but wow they look like Jack.
What a really impressive and beautifully done interview. I didn't know much about Ryan Cassidy, but my oh my what a humble, intelligent and delightfully charismatic guy. I am buying the book now.
@@celebritydrop I agree with Jo Evanson. I’ve been a Cassidy fan all my life but never had seen an interview with Ryan until now. When alone I will occasionally play my Partridge Family records because David’s voice was so beautiful & the music brings me back to a simpler time. I also want to thank you for this interview. It was AMAZING!!
Of all the interviewers I have watched over the past 5 decades, this individual by far leads the pack. His depth of research of all he interviews and his extreme kindness toward those he interviews is impeccable! I am shocked that he does not have more viewership on his channel.
Thank you for your kind words JL. Craig and I only started the channel a year ago and it is slowly growing. We love what we do and thrilled when we hear feedback from viewers like yourself. Thank you again. Kelley
Ryan’s humble , modest and solid moral foundation taught by his wonderful mother and father is so very apparent to me as I watched this skillful interview.❣️ Bless him and his entire family for the years they all spent entertaining millions of people throughout the world.
Wow!!! I can’t help but recognize he has the same mannerisms as David and Shaun (nuanced). I remember when he and Patrick were little boys. It’s lovely to hear him speak. Wonderful interview.
Great interview. I really hope that a biopic can be done about David. Maybe then the world will realize what talent he had. There have been many biopics done, the recent one about Elvis was wonderful. I hope they can do one on David Cassidy.
There was a David Cassidy biopic. It aired in January of 2000 on NBC, and starred Andrew Kavovit as David Cassidy. It was called "The David Cassidy Story."
What a fascinating interview! I had wondered what became of Ryan, the youngest Cassidy and it warms my heart to hear how satisfying his life turned out. He seems like a warm and kind man.
Had a crush on Jack as a LITTLE girl, and I'll say this, he produced THE most beautiful men to walk this earth! Godspeed, Ryan, and thank you for not disrespecting THE hugest love of my life, David. I saw David perform out in Thousand Oaks, right before he died. I know the show was less than David could do, but it didn't change my LOVE and respect for him, not one iota!
I've been a fan of all the Cassidy brothers, their mother and father for many years. I've followed their careers and have enjoyed everything they have done. I've always thought that Ryan was the "forgotten" son since he was behind the scenes most of the time, but he is just as talented as his brothers, mother and father, just in a different way. I loved this interview and have so much respect for him and the way he has lived his life. Thank you!
Excellent interview. And it's so refreshing to hear someone mention "moral values" today! Moral values seem to be a rarity, and it's great to hear from someone who actually emulates them.
I’ve always loved the Cassidy family; mainly Shaun but Ryan is just a few days younger than me. Ryan sounds just like Shaun. He had a very difficult life back in the day and I’m so thrilled that he has a such a lovely family of his own now.
Thank you for sharing a beautiful interview. I never knew so much about the Cassidy’s until seeing this video. Ryan looks so much like his brother David it’s unbelievable. Thanks again for sharing.
Holy smokes, this was wonderful. I was only going to watch a couple minutes but loved this from start to finish. We here in Pittsburgh have a special love for Shirley Jones, where she got her start; and as someone Ryan's age, I grew up watching the Partridge Family and the other Cassidys on tv. Thank you Ryan Cassidy, and thank you Craig Bennett-- you do great interviews, I'm a big fan 😶
Ryan Cassidy is such a lovely person!!! He is kind, loving, and compassionate toward his family. He also seems to extend those traits to others that he meets and knows. His gentleness is something that touches my heart!!!! Thank you for sharing this.
I think Ryan took the very best assets of all his family members. He seems so nice & kind. Wanting to remember the best in your loved ones after they pass is not such a bad thing. For all the fans of his famous family members, making a movie that dramatizes their "crash & burn" moments is just not right. Those of us old enough remember the best and worst times we actually saw or heard about with his famous parents & siblings, we don't need every gory detail. Shirley was an amazing singer & I adored her as mom Partridge, she was also in the very old musical Easter Parade if I remember right. I most remember David for his song "I think I love you" and their dad was usually playing some schmucky guy in the things I saw him in but he was great fun! I absolutely remember when he died in the fire, I think that added to my feeling that these were just people like us & bad things happened to them too. We don't need movies, plays, or musicals to remind us or their other living family members unless it's a tribute to their contributions to entertainment. JMO
He looks so much like Jack! I love the Cassidy boys! David was such a heartthrob & a star…great singer & I’m so sad he’s gone. Shaun looked more like Shirley than the rest of the boys. I’m gonna read Ryan’s book even though I’m not a kid lol. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Now that was a stellar interview. I didn’t know much about Ryan, but such a classy guy from a super famous family. Thanks so much to interviewer Craig - who never fails to bring out the best in everyone because he listens. 😊😊
I can't tell you how much this interview delighted me. I was a long time David Cassidy fan. Ryan was kind of the unknown Cassidy. To see he has such a good life, great family, great memories, work he loves just makes me feel so warmly toward him and indeed his entire family. Ryan, this was a pleasure. Thank you.
Love this interview, so informative on the cassidys. I'm seeing so much of Jack in Ryan. Love that he feels his dad, every day. He really looks like Jack too. Love that this is such a giving family that has given many of us hours of entertainment and more.
So very interesting and touching. After the PF ended I sort of dropped off the David train at 16 or so. I did not buy another PF album after Shopping Bag. Over the years I thought about him fondly but he was not on my musical radar after that. As the years passed I would read about his musical endeavors like Vegas, the play Blood Brothers he did with Patrick and Shaun etc. Then when he started getting in trouble with his DUIs I began to think about him and his life/career and thought he really deserved better than he got. And after he passed away I felt so sad. I do think a bio pic would be brilliant especially if it's controlled by the family. The Cassidy's are nothing if not honest about David's issues and would tell the whole story without sensationalism. But also I think a documentary or a book would be more appropriate. Ryan is so sweet. All the brothers are. Very good interview with sincere questions and answers. I appreciate Ryan going over Jack's career. Im old enough to remember him from tv appearances and he really was quite brilliant. Like Ryan said if Jack had been able to open up to seek help it is possible his relationship with David and the siblings could have been much better and Jack would have lived a longer life. Clearly the fire put an end to that, unfortunately. Jack was offered the role of Ted Baxter on The MaryTyler Moore show but he turned it down. He would have been perfect but Ted Knight did a fine job. Jack actually played Ted's brother in an episode.
His mother was my favorite actress. When I saw her in Oklahoma it took me away. She sang beautifully. I haven't seen the movie in years .I was 10 years old the first time that I saw it.
As a teen, OF COURSE Sean Cassidy was a "be all to end all" crush for me. There are still pics somewhere of me squealing with delight holding one of his albums. But-like the album- I was a "born late" kind of person as well. So I was well aware of the ENTIRE family. Old movies old musicals and all my parents' 45 records from the 50s is what I was in love with. This is a truly amazing family with out of this world personal histories and yet, down to earth similar daily life problems to overcome. Just like my own tiny family. At any given moment in my life, one or more of the Cassidy family would enter the stage. I appreciate the candor of this interview, of course. They are not an inanimate poster on my wall from 50 years ago. This is a REAL family, warts and all. So what I appreciate MOST about this family from far away LA and NYC is the love and admiration that is spoken about here. Thank you for sharing this intimate picture of the dashing, dapper man and his stunningly beautiful songstress wife and all the wonderful, complicated, always interesting, amazing children they had together(and that they had apart, and the extended family as well). Ironic that when we think 🤔 f "Hollywood dynasty", we think of the Barrymore family, of course. I wonder if Jones had an inkling the there would be A JONES DYNASTY as well? Thank you
Jack Cassidy - A spectacular talent. So great. And he is the voice of Bob Cratchit in “Magoos’s Christmas Carol” which is a childhood favorite of mine. Shirley - So lovely, classy, talented. I appreciate Ryan’s story and learning about his life and spirituality. Thank you.
I absolutely enjoyed listening to this interview so very much!!! What a great storyteller!!! I could listen to him tell stories all day. He’s got a great broadway one man show just telling all these stories! It’s amazing how all the boys look so much like Jack Cassidy!!!! Very handsome.
I really enjoyed this interview in fact I loved it. Ryan doesn't have a bad word to say about anybody. Such a lovely man and as a david cassidy fan . Ryan looks so much like hin too and looks so much like his father Jack it's uncanny i. Ryan is his father's double.
Ryan is a lovely man and I'm impressed on how he handled himself in this interview. It's interesting to hear his take of the 'Cassidys'. Thank you for finally letting us know who you are. Much love Ryan.
David was kind and a good person. Used and betrayed by so many. His truest passion and salvation from the craziness of being a global superstar was thoroughbred horse racing. He once said that being around the horses gave him a peace he could not find in any other part of his life. Rest In Peace David.
Rayn.your so well put together.as a star.your mum.too.i loved her growing up in the 1970.i did see your brother david.he came to buffalo ny.for the world largest d.dance.only for a second.i will never forget that.
Such a beautiful person! I remember at his brother Shaun’s concert (1977 or ‘78 I think) I was a 15 or 16, my mother and I had seats on the side that the Cassidy family was seated, and I went down a few rows to say Hi to Ryan. I remember feeling so bad and embarrassed when Marty Ingels came up to me (as I was happily seated next to Ryan) and told me to go back to my seat and that all the girls would like to sit next to Ryan and say “Hi” if they could. I apologized profusely and felt so terrible. I realized he was right and that I was probably making Ryan uncomfortable by showing up next to him. He was quiet, but very kind about it. Many years later I was blessed to meet Shirley Jones at a meet & greet after a show. (2009) My daughter took our picture together. I will always cherish it. Have always admired their family. Wishing them all the BEST!
Loved this interview. I've been a fan of all the Cassidy boys over the years. I see traits of David, Shaun & his Dad in Ryan. What an incredible guy he is.
I never had much awareness of Ryan (and like most girls who grew up in the 70s I was crazy about David) but I am so impressed. He seems like such a lovely, kind and articulate man.
Really enjoyed the Cagney story, will now find the book. No actor has ever impressed me as much as Cagney, my all time favorite, such a remarkably talented man.
What a brilliant and illuminating interview. Ryan Cassidy is charm, personified and such a glow of a human. Might I also pay respect to the interviewer, Craig Bennett. Living in the US, I don't know his work outside of Celebrity Drop, but he is a winner. Warm, engaging and has such a way with every celebrity he's interviewed on here. Just saying'. And with grace and gratitude,
Thank you for this wonderful interview! I have so much love for the Cassidy family, going back to childhood and continuing to this day. Their talent and body of work, now three generations strong, is truly remarkable. I so enjoyed hearing Ryan's stories and anecdotes, especially the loving, respectful way in which he spoke about David. As he said, those of us who were fans want him only to be remembered in the best possible way. As the daughter of a police officer, I was also very touched to hear of Ryan's connection with the LAPD. It's great to know that his beautiful mother is doing well. She is truly a national treasure. Thanks again for a very special interview.❤
I was 10 when Shaun was on the Hardy boys and his album was out. He was my first celebrity crush and still is today. I grew up with parents who loved musicals so I loved Shirley even before the partridge family. Oklahoma is my favorite musical. I have been a fan of David’s from the partridge family. But I have to say I never knew much about Ryan. What delight he didn’t have a mean word to say about anyone. Just love and light. I’m pleased to learn about his successes too. 💜
Geez, whenever I think back I remember David was so HUGE in the 70s. I'm not sure there was anyone bigger for a few years. As a kid I always thought he looked most like Jack, and Shirley's boys all looked like her. Having seen Ryan and Shaun recently, they still do. Boy, did I have a crush on Shaun, yet I hardly ever saw The Hardy Boys. His poster from his Da Doo Ron Ron album was the only one I was ever allowed to hang up in my room. 🙄 Just the other week he'd posted a picture of Shirley on her 89th birthday, which Ryan referenced here in advance, and just 3 days ago, on April 12th, he posted an adorable photo of him and David when Shaun was maybe 3, on what would have been David's 73rd birthday. I adored seeing these posts. This is all taking me back. If only we could go back. Thank you, Ryan! 😊
Ryan Cassidy I always remember what a Great Actor your Dad Jack is and I am 60, and thanks to Columbo some of his Greatest work is available. You look a lot like him!
Mr. Celebrity Drop, I'm five minutes into this and I had to pause so I could tell you THANK YOU for letting Ryan speak! It's so refreshing to listen to an interviewer interviewing and not interrupting the guest. Strewth and all that, m8t!
Thank you for your comment Johannes. Craig and I set up Celebrity Drop so we, and those who watch, could hear from those people we interview. They are the stars. Happy that you like what we're doing. Kelley,
I love his last line "You call that honest? YOu really want to see honest?" 😆😆 that episode was painfully funny, with Rhoda being forced to spend the whole night with Ted.
It's amazing how they all are part of my childhood - Shirley and David for the Partridge Family, Jack for the Columbo episodes, and Shaun for the Hardy Boys. I watched The Facts Of Life, but never realized who Ryan actually was in it.
Amazing how ALL the Cassidy boys look and sound alike (I know David has a different Mom). But it blows me away that Shaun & Ryan could pass as twins. Those Cassidy genes are STRONG!! If you didn't tell me this was Ryan I would have to look twice to be sure it was not Shaun. They all even have the same voice LOL. Shirley has always come off has the sweetest, kindest, person alive. Fame did not seem to change her in anyway. Being a Mother was her first priority and you KNOW this based on the way her boys talk about her. She was even kind to the teenagers who figured out where her famous boys lived. She would take them in give them a drink & snack while she called the teens parents to come pick them up and let them know they were safe. That my friends is the patience of a SAINT!!! She never forgot who she was, and never let it go to her head. There are women and there are Ladies (very few). She is DEF a Lady!!
David was very, very sweet. I was blessed to see him when he toured with Petula Clark in Blood Brothers in Atlanta. This was in the 90s. I waited outside the stage door on my off day to meet him. When he came to the theater, he stopped and spoke to me. He also signed my copy of a book about his days on the Partridge Family. It is called Come on Get Happy Fear and Loathing on the Partridge Family Bus. To this day, that book is a treasured possession.
What a wonderful insightful interview. Ryan is so full of information and spoken so well. Looking forward to listen to you more and read your book. You and your brothers got best genes from both your parents. Keep it coming.
When Ryan Cassidy was younger, he had the closest “young David Cassidy lookalikes” among the siblings. And now that Ryan had aged a bit, he still looks like David (a carbon copy of the older David Cassidy). The voice, the gestures is really, really David!😮😮
I didn't notice it until the side by side in the video. ❤
It is very obvious that Shirley instilled all three of her sons with her good values and attitudes of her life. Bravo Shirley you must be a proud Mom.
Ms Jones seems to have always been an exceptional person as well as being a great actor and singer. I just love her persona and all of her sons seen like lovely people. I can't help but feel sadness for David, for whom I like every young teen, adored from afar.
All 4 Cassidy brothers seem like kind and respectful people, not to mention the talent
You are spot on!
Ryan looks just like David in this interview. 🥰
Happy 90th Birthday Shirley Jones thank you for the experience
Just finished reading Shirley’s book. Loved it. Great to learn about the Cassidy family.
I was the bartender for their annual Christmas Day parties at Shirley and Marty's house in Encino after they moved to the valley from Beverly Hills. I live just down the 101 freeway about 6-8 miles, in Woodland Hills. What a great memory Kyle! I've sent it to Ryan - hopefully he will reply. Cheers Kelley.
What a great story! A lovely family by the sounds of things 🙏
What a wonderful memory Julie. Thank you for sharing.
I love that story it’s so rare that you come across beautiful people like that and the love and loyalty they have for each other is truly amazing . How sweet of him to take her to dinner and spend time with her that’s just wonderful .
Loved your story! WONDERFUL! ♥️
James Carney was old school.Friends were to be cherished.Mr.Cagney came from a very simple background,he was devoted to his family,an extraordinary talent a real Yankee Doodle Dandy!
Oh, I love hearing this! I always felt James Cagney was nice man for some reason, so it's nice hearing how sweet he was to your neighbor.
What a beautiful family! I loved you all since I was a kid. Thanks for all the joy you brought me. The Cassidy family ❤❤ sweet, talented, wise people!
Thanks for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed it!
@kelshep you are so welcome ❣️
Oh those Cassidy men......SIMPLY IRRESISTABLE!!!!!!! Ryan reminds me so much of David.....his looks, his mannerisms, his voice, everyrhing really. I so enjoyed your interview with him. I am so impressed by Ryan. Now I have had crushes on Jack, David, Shaun, Patrick, and now Ryan. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I agree! The first thing I noticed is how much he sounds like David!
Me too 💗
They look like their father, Jack
He does look so much like David
He looks like a blonde version of David.
What a FANTASTIC interview!!!! All of the Jack Cassidy/Shirley Jones boys were CLEARLY brought up right, which shows in every aspect of their lives!! Job well done Jack and Shirley!!!
Thank you for watching! Isn't Ryan the best!
Jack Cassidy was such an under appreciated actor! I watch him in the Columbo when he was a magician. A favorite episode. And Shirley Jones was so exquisite in Oklahoma, drove Rod Steiger crazy!
I just watched Oklahoma she was wonderful in it!
Loved jack in Columbo
Thank you for a beautifully done interview with Ryan Cassidy. Super to hear all the stories of each brother plus Shirley and Jack. Be Blessed.lo
They all got their dad's smile❤
I love the Cassidy boys - so well-spoken and kind. Your Mom must be proud.
He seems like a positive attitude runs through his veins….thanks for sharing with us, Ryan. Your dad & my dad used alcohol as their ‘medicine’ of choice.
Ryan looks so much like his father and David❤
I am so glad I stumbled upon this video. I am a huge Cassidy fan - love them all! We do not see much of Ryan so this was a nice look into what a nice guy he is. Thank you for your comment AniWatX. We definitely will reach out to the other Cassidy brothers.
What a great guy Ryan Cassidy is! I’m so glad I saw this interview. And BOY, can you tell he’s David’s brother!
Glad you found us Trish. Thank you for watching.
Being raised in the 70's, I remember Jack Cassidy. It's remarkable how Ryan is Jack's spitting image. His voice isn't the same but the mirror image is the same. It was good to see Shirley Jones in photos, she's so beloved! "70's America's Mom" ❤
Interesting and informative interview of such a talented family.
Thank you for the lovely comment Traci and you are spot on.
All of Shirley's sons are decent kind human beings!
David died? OMG, I don’t remember hearing about him passing. Such an icon!

Lovely interview with Ryan, Craig. You do this so well!! Thanks gents for a nice chat. Ryan seems so humble and sweet. Great DNA! ❤
Ryan reminds me a lot of David-especially his gestures and the way he enunciates. The Cassidy brothers are so good looking!!
Amen to that.
Always loved David from way back then too
David was do handsome. He, Michael Jackson, & Donnie Osmond were my first childhood crushes. You can definitely tell Ryan is a Cassidy.

These 3 sons of Jack Cassidy and Shirley Jones are such gentlemen! Shaun, Patrick and Ryan! Such genuine men. And of course, by extension, their brother David. Such sweet, gentle souls! So heartwarming to see!
This guy is a sweet heart. Very positive about everyone.
Craig is such a great interviewer. He's compassionate, interested, and never dwells too long on anything. He is a fantastic, charming man. Another great interview.
Couldn't agree more Kim. He's great. I've now watched all of the interviews on here, and there's not a dud, so many really great things I didn't know about celebrities I thought I knew well.
oh wow what a great family legacy, the cassidys are and tribute to all of them, fantastic interwiew
Glad you enjoyed it
I was madly in love with David Cassidy, God rest his soul❤ I had posters of him all over my bedroom. My grandmother was a big fan of Shirley Jones, who was (is) so beautiful & I admired her as well. Jack, Ryans father was so handsome & talented. Ryan is delightful.
Ryan is a great conversationalist like his Mom! Sending much love to Miss Shirley!!!
Thank you for this❤️❤️
Wish I had known all of these talented Cassidy's, watched the patridge family all the time, and I was especially infatuated with, Shaun
Glad you enjoyed it
Great interview Ryan your mother Shirley is a strong woman lots of love to the family and David Cassidy is loved and truly missed 🌹
Ryan is the most polite, complimentary man I’ve ever listened to! 👏🏼👏🏼
Couldn't agree more!
I agree. Ryan has these amazing parents and siblings and he's filled with love, admiration and humility.
G’Day Craig,
Another great interview, really interesting, thank you.
Omg. What a great interview! Ryan you are are a kind thoughtful man. Thank you.
We totally agree with you and so glad you enjoyed our interview with Ryan.
Excellent interview!
Shirley Jones is a great mother!
You are spot on with your comment Jo. Ryan is a great man and we loved speaking with him. Thank you for your comment.
47:59 😮
Great interview. I really hope that a biopic can be done about David. Maybe then the world will realize what talent he had. There have been many biopics done, the recent one about Elvis was wonderful. I hope they can do one on David Cassidy.
There was a David Cassidy biopic. It aired in January of 2000 on NBC, and starred Andrew Kavovit as David Cassidy. It was called "The David Cassidy Story."
@@kellyhughart9600 You're right, I remember. I didn't finish watching it because I found it silly and inappropriate. Correct me if i'm wrong 🤔💕
What a fascinating interview! I had wondered what became of Ryan, the youngest Cassidy and it warms my heart to hear how satisfying his life turned out. He seems like a warm and kind man.
Glad you enjoyed our conversation with Ryan and thank you for your comment.
Ryan is such a great guy 💗
Had a crush on Jack as a LITTLE girl, and I'll say this, he produced THE most beautiful men to walk this earth! Godspeed, Ryan, and thank you for not disrespecting THE hugest love of my life, David. I saw David perform out in Thousand Oaks, right before he died. I know the show was less than David could do, but it didn't change my LOVE and respect for him, not one iota!
@@2puffs770 How wonderful! May he RIP 💕
Well said!
I’ve always loved the Cassidy family; mainly Shaun but Ryan is just a few days younger than me. Ryan sounds just like Shaun. He had a very difficult life back in the day and I’m so thrilled that he has a such a lovely family of his own now.
Great interview!! Ryan comes off as an absolute sweetheart just like his mum.
I think Jack and Shirley Cassidy’s story would be fascinating for a movie.
YES!
Or a musical!
Thank you for sharing a beautiful interview. I never knew so much about the Cassidy’s until seeing this video. Ryan looks so much like his brother David it’s unbelievable. Thanks again for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it Lucy - thank you for your comment.
Thank you for watching Patricia.
Ryan seems to be an incredibly sweet, humble and genuine man. Thank you, Ryan, for sharing such a beautiful piece of yourself in this interview.
Couldn't agree more!
Love. The. Cassidy. Brother's.💯❤️❤️❤️
Thank you.
Thank you for your comment Baranduyn.
Glad you enjoyed it Brenda.
@@celebritydrop and the interviewer was great, asked wonderful questions and kept the interview flowing very smoothly.

Wishing them all the BEST!
what a ridiculous thing to do, are you autistic
Loved this interview. I've been a fan of all the Cassidy boys over the years. I see traits of David, Shaun & his Dad in Ryan. What an incredible guy he is.
I never had much awareness of Ryan (and like most girls who grew up in the 70s I was crazy about David) but I am so impressed. He seems like such a lovely, kind and articulate man.
Really enjoyed the Cagney story, will now find the book. No actor has ever impressed me as much as Cagney, my all time favorite, such a remarkably talented man.
Thank you for your comment gmaureen and glad you found us and enjoyed our interview with Ryan,
Watching him talk, I see all of David’s expressions 😊
What a brilliant and illuminating interview. Ryan Cassidy is charm, personified and such a glow of a human. Might I also pay respect to the interviewer, Craig Bennett. Living in the US, I don't know his work outside of Celebrity Drop, but he is a winner. Warm, engaging and has such a way with every celebrity he's interviewed on here. Just saying'. And with grace and gratitude,
Agree completely.
Thanks for sharing Ryan about the Alcoholism and Bipolar. I have Bipolar I wish more people who are famous would Come out. No shame.
Thank you for this interview. Ryan is such a good human being and so stable.
Thank you for your comment Phyllis.
Great comment Corinne. Thank you for sharing.
Kelley,
Jack was hysterical playing Ted Knight's brother on MTM.
Outstanding interview. Ryan is a class act.
Shaun looks just like his mother Shirley Jones. I see David in Ryan, especially when he smiles so they both favor their father.
Spitting image of Shaun.
Resembles David
They all have both mom and dad in their features
@@THREESISTERS15 David wasn’t Shirley’s son . He was Jack’s son from a previous marriage.
I enjoyed this interview so much!! So many interesting tidbits about his family!

David and Petula! Wish I'd been there!
What a wonderful insightful interview. Ryan is so full of information and spoken so well. Looking forward to listen to you more and read your book. You and your brothers got best genes from both your parents. Keep it coming.
Ryan is lovely, so honest and kind.
Great interview Ryan ! Such talent in the Cassidy Family.
