We may differ slightly in our theology but, rest assured Jesus Christ is Lord of all...thank you KSL, for sharing this awesome and powerful message...may Father God bless you all.
I appreciate them sharing their story to show the true face and not the Façade that everything is always great with those that are famous. It is hard sharing personal downfalls, struggles and problems. Their example is one to be admired, and I am glad for their testimonies of the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint of the Savior and of our Heavenly Father. Thank you. Oh if Osmonds get to reading this, I was 9 or 10 years in Troy Michigan, when most of the brothers came to the church where my ward presided, after one of their concerts, and gave a fireside. I remember one of them had to fly back home and was not able to make it to the fireside for health reasons. It was a special experience.
No it's certainly never to late to turn your life over to God who is able to do all things. I hope an pray that you always put the lord our God our heavenly father 1st no matter what is happening he's always there. God bless you.
They will never know but a friend of mine in Mexico found the gospel through them. She was their fan and learned about the gospel and found the missionaries. To this point she is still a member and shares her testimony.
When I was a child (I’m Donny’s age), my parents worried about my love of this family. They were concerned about the “celebrity” factor and what we knew of other celebrities of that time. I’d give anything if they were alive now to see how the Osmond family (and me) turned out. If I, as a child, had to find a celebrity to admire - wow, didn’t I choose wisely!!! Talented, yes, but like Donny said, they earned (through dedication and hard work) every accolade they’ve ever received. Folks, this family is a perfect example of what a parent’s love and guidance can accomplish. Oh, that we were all so fortunate!!! Osmond family, you have my eternal gratitude for the examples you are and your parents were. Talk about priceless!!! I’ll look for you inside those pearly gates! Much love and respect!!!!
I still believe this is one of the most influential families in the business, and are still so underrated as performers. They have contributed so much of their lives and talent and are still standing. Thank you Mother Olive & Father George for raising such a beautiful family❤😊
I have been an Osmond fan since 1975 and seeing this program just left me speechless. The Osmond Family has meant so much to me over the years and so it's great to finally see a documentary about them where they can truly express their religious beliefs. Even though I am Catholic and do not share the Osmonds' LDS beliefs, I have great respect for the family in how they have lived out their faith amidst the crazy world of show business. Without their faith, they might have ended up like many of their contemporaries. God bless the Osmonds. And Rest In Peace, George and Olive Osmond.
I’m Christian, I always loved the osmond family although I don’t believe in what they believe. They are a strong family and it saddens me that they don’t believe that the father the son and the Holy Ghost are all 3 in one amen 🙏
Isn't it sad that because of their religion, people "thought" they were "this or that.," when what they were was fantastic musicians, performers and people. They should be in the rock and roll hall of fame. I've been watching reaction videos of these young kids discovering The Osmonds and they are blown away! I was an Osmond fan since the 60's, and I'm so thrilled they are still around, respected and cherished. I'll always be thankful to this family. Terrific job on this program. It was well done, respectful and very entertaining. God's continued blessings to The Osmond Family!
Excellent show.Having been a fan for decades it was a refreshing change to see the family talk about their faith without hearing the cynics. They are truly a remarkably humble family. When you meet them you are greeted as an old friend with a warm hug. While I have not joined the LDS church their influence has brought me closer to the Gospel.I honestly believe that this is their true mission from God.Thank you for airing the show.
It's nice to see a special on the Osmonds that is uplifting instead of gratuitous sensationalism. Kudos to Carol Mikita, one of the more respectable TV journalists working today.
They are an incredible family and they really care about their fans. They've gone out of their way and put in so much effort to please their fans yet they always keep their focus on God and doing what is right. They really are an amazing family full of faith and love.
A beautiful family. I spent 5 very happy years performing with the brothers and in particular, Jimmy. They are a wonderful group of people and I’m so grateful for the opportunities I had not only to work with them, but spend time with them away from the stage
I first heard about the LDS church through the Osmond family. I’ve been a faithful member in good standing for decades. If it were not for them introducing me to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, honestly..I don’t know how I would have literally survived my challenging life. My faith and love for Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father has carried me through the years. In 2011 Donny, Debbie, and Josh, attended church at the Ossington Ward in Toronto. I asked Donny to inscribe my scriptures as I truly considered the Osmond’s to have been my first missionaries. …later that afternoon while attending the show, Donny picked me out of the audience (front row center) and did a little dance with me. That’s amazing!!! If you watch the move Side by side the osmonds story ,the hole reason why they started singing was to raise money for their missions. When they got invited for a five year contract on the tv show and had to move to California , they said well this reason why we started to save money to go on missions and maybe people will see us on tv and then when we knock on doors open up to us to hear the gospel! That’s exactly what happened . Your living proof even though they didn’t contract you personally. The lord knew the path the the osmonds . This was their path here on earth . They fullfilled it very well . They continue to do so. The second generation of osmonds are fabulous too. I know a few of the boys :)
I grew up in a Church of Christ not Mormon but i grew up listening and watching the Osmond family they are an amazing family! Today still attend The Church of Christ and continue to watch and listen and have a family of my own.❤
I have always said that your family raised me. I would hope that people think I am a good person. Perfect? Absolutely not but because of you, a decent person. I cried through this whole program and I thank ALL of you for being part of my life. I love you
I hope you are all able to watch this. I am in tears at the beautiful testimonies and examples of each of the wonderful Osmond family. Having met many of them, having had one of them phone me to save my life. Having shared the love they have for our saviour Jesus Christ. They all planted the seed of faith in my heart in the 70’s. Having received a personal letter from mother Osmond. I then joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints with my own witness and testimony of him. They are all amazing wonderful people. Blessed with the spirit of God. From mother and father Osmond to Tom and Virl. To the talented Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny, Marie and Jimmy. Their music is the heart of my life. More than that, I know them, they are my brothers and sisters in the gospel. They love everything and everybody. They have cared when no one else would. I am so grateful to have them in my life. I am a better person for knowing them. May God continue to bless each family member and Extended family members. You did us proud! We love you every bit as much as you love us. Thank you for being in my life.
This wonderful family are my missionaries, their light made me look into the church and I will be forever grateful to them for not being ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
As I watch this, and after hearing Elder Rasband's talk at Conference day before yesterday, telling the story about the woman who was an Osmond fan and converted, I too want to thank the Osmonds. I was a *huge* fan of theirs, and slowly got introduced to the Gospel. It took four years for my parents to allow me to be baptized, but the wait was worth it. I now live in Utah, I was a temple ordinance worker in the Jordan River Temple, but I (like Alan) have multiple sclerosis, and am now unable to be an ordinance worker. So, besides being a temple patron, I am a FamilySearch Records missionary, and absolutely love being able to serve in my own small way. I am so grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and for the Osmonds, whose example helped bring me to the Church. They have indeed followed the admonition of the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve by having their careers be their missions.
I'm 59 yrs old &I was a fan of the Osmonds since the 70s ,I also had a crush on Donny ,I just watched this story of their family history &I have seen great love &respect for them ,I also seen Donny perform @Foxwoods Resort Casino ,back on June 29th & he was great !
I didn’t know this special was exclusive to Utah viewers only. Definitely thank you for sharing it on here, it’s great to see everyone close to or currently
Of all the world’s accolades bestowed upon this humble family, this truly represents who they are. With everything happening in the world at this time, with the ugliness that has put the world’s attention on Utah and the Church, this program couldn’t have come at a better time. I will be forever grateful for learning about the Church because of this faithful family. As a young girl coming from a very Catholic family, I felt so alone because I simply didn’t believe what my family believed. I had questions that no one could answer and thought I was the only one who held the beliefs I did. And then as a young fan a family vacation took us to Utah and the Visitor’s Center. ThereI learned that not only was I not the only one who held certain beliefs, but there was an entire group of people who shared the same. I was baptized on my 18th birthday and never looked back. Thank you for helping me on the path to eternity.
Sad that you left the Catholic Church. I love the Osmonds but would never leave my beautiful faith. I have many questions about the Mormon faith as well, like where in the Bible does it mention Planet Kolob? Love the Osmonds. Met them many times, but one has to separate their incredible talent from their faith.
@@carmenpascual2383 you are absolutely correct as far as separating someone’s talent from faith. But, I only learned about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a child. I looked into it as an adult. I had many questions that the Catholic Church could not answer and found when I investigated the LDS Church. I fasted and prayed for answers and was answered . I wish you the very best .
There are so many wonderful things about the church. The families are forever belief. Wholesome values. Willing to work and help others. Why I didn't join the church is because when you get to the higher levels they believe that a man can become a god. You can read about it if you have their scripture - the Doctrine and Covenants. Section 132. To me - that was a huge dealbreaker. Totally against the one true God.
I have admired the Osmonds since I was a young teen. What an incredible family. Their love for one another, their faith and giving spirits are so inspiring! May God continue to bless them all!
Beautiful testimonies. I will be 58 this month and I found the Osmonds when they released One Bad Apple. I have been a lifelong fan. May God continue to Bless them.
The Osmond family are still inspiring people today as they did in the 1970's when as a Christian girl I took comfort in their example of faith. I know its been very difficult at times for your family but I want you to know how much you are loved and appreciated and for every struggle you have shared so many have felt less alone. Your parents were extraordinary people on this earth. Blessed to be here at this time in our world with you all. 🙏
You are so sweet! As another Christian girl who shares your feelings, you are not alone. I have a baby sister teddy bear hug waiting for you when we meet in heaven. But I'll wait my turn, because Jesus, Donnie and Marie get first hugs. :)
Loved this! I met Donny and Marie in Denver long ago at a private concert they gave for stock brokers. I have admired your family since I was 13 and cried when I watched this - just love you all - you make me want to be a better person❤❤ so grateful I work at CSU and help disabled and deaf students - it is an honor🙏🙏 grateful to know you!
This was a privilege to watch: beautiful and resonant with integrity, honesty, warmth and love. The Osmonds actually are what human beings should be. Talk about making their parents proud - they’ve smashed it! 🙏
What an inspiring family story. The Osmond's lifetime of practicing their daily faith in our Lord has inspired me to work harder at my daily devotions. THANK YOU!!!
I have been a fan for 51 years. I still listen to their music. I tell people that the one thing I love about them is their faith. Whenever i am down, I listen to them.
I’ve been been a Osmond fan since I was 6 years old & I’m now 62. First saw them on the Andy Williams show. Went many times to see them perform at the Kentucky state fair & the Ohio state fair. Plus other venues. I’m very grateful for their faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ. I’m a Catholic & I respect their beliefs. This is a very beautiful video. I’m so proud to be a Child of God. I had wonderful Parents who put faith & family first . I will always be a Osmond fan.
The spirit spoke to me through the Osmond family fifty years ago. I went into the attic to pray, to know for myself. The windows of Heaven opened and I was blessed with a life changing understanding of the truth.
I have been an Osmond fan since 1972. I have seen their highs and lows and through it all, they remained strong because of their faith. My spiritual path is different from most, but I have always respected all religions. I have always felt that everyone should believe in something, because it's that faith, whatever that faith may be, that helps you through your darkest times. I truly believe that. I can't think of another family that has proved that more than the Osmond family. They are a gift and I am very grateful for that gift. Brightest Blessings to all of you.
My Grandmother took me to see The Osmond’s in the 60’s at Valley Music Hall in Bountiful, Utah. They were just getting started I think. I was a young kid and thought it was great getting a night out with my Grandma. I think she was the best grandmother ever.❤
A friend (whom I met while she was investigating the Church) was converted because she was a big fan of the Osmonds. She loved their music, then read a biographical book and learned they were members of the Church. After her baptism at age 14, she had a strong desire to go on a mission and share the gospel that had brought her such great joy.
I had the pleasure of meeting the entire Osmond family while in High School they had to barrow my saxophone for a show because their equipment plane didn’t show up in time. I happened to be playing near by. Not only did they barrow my saxophone they picked me up in a limo. Marie showed me her dressing room and what she did to get ready. The whole family treated me with kindness. They fed me and let me watch their concert for free. Their mother was a sweet heart. Poor Donny had to play my saxophone with a worn out reed but they were so grateful. I can’t say enough nice things about them. 😊
I absolutely loved this.. They are fabulous and I'll always love this sweet, genuine family 💖💖💖 It is because of their example, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
I met Donny in Vegas at the Flamingo when he did his show with Marie and he wasn't in the best mood. He was OK but I did wish he could have been better but maybe he wasn't feeling good or something.
When the Osmonds spoke of their testimonies at the end, they only strengthened my own. I am so glad I am a member of this church. I am a convert. When I learned of Joseph Smith, his story was very familiar. It was like I knew it already. This church is true and I'm so blessed because of it.
I love this am a member of the church and I know everything that the Osmonds say and thanks to them I joined the church and I love to share the gospel of Jesus Christ am a ward missionary and my calling is to share the gospel just as the Osmonds have ❤
This is so dear. I'm a fan from way back and it's wonderful to be able to catch up with all of them. Thank you to everyone who was a part of it for making it so accessible. I'm not LDS, but I'm a Christian, and I have boundless respect and admiration for the way the Osmonds have always lived their faith and let it guide their lives. God bless them all. ❤
Thanks for this. The Osmonds were my first missionaries, i will always be grateful for their examples. They are truly an amazing influence on so many people.
I can tell you this. This family got me through some very very tough things in my life my whole life. Then 2 years ago while watching Merrils retirement show live on facebook and when Donny hugged Merril I had a Devine touch from God that changed my like. I was fortunate to share my experience with Donny this past May.
This is just what I needed today. I found the Church because of the Osmonds in 1974. The missionaries would not have found me, so I had to find them. I was baptized in 1977 because I had to wait for my 18th birthday. The Osmonds will always have a special place in my heart for planting that seed then and still being an influence for good in my life today. I cannot imagine my life without the gospel in it. Thank you just isn't enough.
The Osmonds seem like good people but the Mormon religion is false. It doesn't take much research to find that out. Most Mormons don't find out because they are told to not do any research. That's because the people at the top don't want their followers figuring out that the religion is false because they would lose a lot of the tithing. When you are told to not do something in a religion, that's almost always a sure sign that the religion is false.
I was in tears watching this. I grew up listening to them. I remembered watching Donny and Marie as a child. Their show was always the show we watched as a family. They led me to the Church. And imagine working on your family tree and finding out you are related to them. I used to joke about being related to Donny. I don't joke about it now. ❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
I’ve watched this several times. Always knowing their love of Jesus Christ, and our Heavenly Father is the most inspirational way to spread the scriptures that we all need in our lives. Thank you.
The Osmond family, filled with faith and talent has been an example and inspiration to me always pointing the way to the Savior. Thank you for this very personal look at the Osmonds as they really are, true followers of Christ.
This was such a moving documentary. Couples things was mentioned that i didn't know. And i knew loved the Osmonds from the beginning. I love the Osmond family. & thier relaxing manners & religious beliefs even though I'm Catholic. Thank you for sharing. God bless the Osmonds. & this is my testimony in Jesus name Amen. ❤😊🙏🎶
I'm glad to see that the hurt feelings of a decade ago have smoothed out. Having a celestial outlook with Jesus at the helm makes all the difference. Thank you for your good example all these years.
Thank you so much for this. It was fantastic. This family were my missionaries & I am thankful for their wonderful examples during the past 51 years. May Heavenly Father watch over & bless them all. x
What an inspirational and faith-filled family, anchored to Jesus Christ and spreading His love and goodness wherever they go. They truly are a remarkable family!
Seeing Wayne get so excited when he talked about the "Rock and Roll," priceless! That was the Osmonds at their best. I've seen hundreds of concerts over the past 40 plus years, of all styles, but I don't think I've seen anyone truly enjoy performing as much as Wayne!
What a wonderful way to show the Osmond family I have been a fan forever A family there Faith and there Fame and a great Mother and Father setting the love of a loving family life and being there for each other which is so important love to all Janet from England God Bless family xxx
The best family on this earth there will be know others like them love them with all my heart always did and always will they will always know what it is like to be family to one and others family and faith are a very powerful ❤️ thing they will never be another family like there in this world
I've been a fan since I was probably 10. So it's been 50+ years. Thank u so much for being such a true, loving, etc family!!! I am so....grateful to have watched this video , it definitely has helped me to feel stronger in my faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I have no doubt that being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is where I belong!!! Thank u, we all need inspiration from each other to get thru these days!!! ❤❤❤
This was wonderful to watch. Thank you for posting here on You Tube. My whole family, both sides, are from Utah with my parents both and raised in Salt Lake City. Being raised Mormon, the Osmond family touches me deeply. I have been a fan since I was a teenager; and I am the same age as Marie. I remember attending a Fireside at one of the stake buildings where I live in Las Vegas with all the Osmonds there bearing their testimonies. Merrill and Mary has just gotten married. Donny was 16, and of course I was madly in love with him (as most girls were at that time!). It was such an incredible experience to see them all and hear each of them speak and know they each spoke from the heart. It is something I remember to this day, and will never forget.
Wonderful story! Hoping to see Donny in Idaho Falls in August 2024. Praying my health will improve enough that I can go to see Donny Osmond in concert! Can't wait!
You all together and individually are an extraordinary people. I can only hope that one day I might get the opportunity to tell each one of you that I admire you, and I am grateful that my whole life (most of it) has been Blessed having you all to watch and listen to. I honestly say I love each of you. Thank you Thank you Thank you! Mrs. Vicki Ostler Meridian, Idaho
I Know All The Osmonds Personally! I Grew Up With Them Also In The Music Business! I Am So Blessed And Honored To Love Each And Every One Of Them! God Bless Each And Every One Of Them With All My Heart! Good Health, Much Happiness And Joy I Wish Them! Keep Going Strong My Beautiful Friends! Adrian Wechsler❤💝
Wow! Very moving! May God bless everyone! I have met Donny and Marie. Both were so nice! May love and blessings follow the entire family. God is everything. Nice to to see a family United. United in faith and love!❤️🙏👍
Beautiful testimonials from the Osmond family. ❤ may they continue to be an instrument in the Lord hands proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. Love the Osmonds and their faith. I too am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Love from new Zealand.
The Osmond family should be given one of the Kennedy Center honors. They richly deserve it for the contributions they have made, not only to music, but to faith and family.
Thank you Carol Mikita 🤗 for this wonderful report of the Osmond Family, I love the Osmond I was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and a member Of “The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Later Day Saints” Thank you again for sharing this wonderful video… “GOD BLESS ALL”
I am one of those introduced to the Gospel through the Osmond family. I cannot express the extent of my gratitude for their examples. I was baptized 37 years ago. My grandson' will be baptized on Saturday. My husband and I leave for a 6 month mission in June. Life is so much better in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! I get sad when people tear it down. It has brought me nothing but joy, goodness, blessings and happiness.

Agreed. Other shows like The Today Show, GMA and CBS wouldn't do the justice and respect that Carol Mikkita does.

Beautiful!!! Thank
You for sharing your testimony
I'm 59 yrs old &I was a fan of the Osmonds since the 70s ,I also had a crush on Donny ,I just watched this story of their family history &I have seen great love &respect for them ,I also seen Donny perform @Foxwoods Resort Casino ,back on June 29th & he was great !
Thank you, KSL, for posting this on RUclips. It made it so much easier for those of us who don't live in Utah, but love the Osmonds, to see it!
Merrill is pretty much unrecognizable without the beard.
They have had their moments when they weren't close, just watch the video, growing up Osmond.
I want to thank them for the love the faith and the guidance that they have showed us
Beautiful testimonies.
This family is blessed! I love what they stand for. ❤️
What an inspiring family God bless them all❤❤❤
This was a privilege to watch: beautiful and resonant with integrity, honesty, warmth and love. The Osmonds actually are what human beings should be. Talk about making their parents proud - they’ve smashed it! 🙏
Ditto from Alberta, Canada-a Latter Day Saint, too!
What an inspiring family story. The Osmond's lifetime of practicing their daily faith in our Lord has inspired me to work harder at my daily devotions. THANK YOU!!!
Merrill Osmond was my Favourite out of all of them one Gorgeous Voice and still is so Handsome God Keep Blessing Him 🙏🏻♥️
I have been a fan for 51 years.
I saw the whole family in 83. My expectations were low, as a teen. My girlfriend and I were blown away! It was soo good. Love the Osmonds.
I absolutely loved this.. They are fabulous and I'll always love this sweet, genuine family 💖💖💖 It is because of their example, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
I've met many of them, and they are just as sincere in person. They are amazing folks.
Yes, I felt and feel the same.
Wake up now or you'll wake up after death & to late then to back out of the lies you have been TOLD to you.
Thank You to the Osmonds for everything!!❤❤
More today than ever. Thank you for sharing your comment.
Beautiful production. Beautiful souls. I loved hearing their testimonies. Thank you.
I am 61 and have been a fan since age 9. I will always be a fan. What a wonderful family.

I love the Osmonds . A gifted family ❤❤
Seeing Wayne get so excited when he talked about the "Rock and Roll," priceless! That was the Osmonds at their best. I've seen hundreds of concerts over the past 40 plus years, of all styles, but I don't think I've seen anyone truly enjoy performing as much as Wayne!

Beautiful testimonies that strength me. Lives well lived and supreme talent.
Their last concert at the Conference Center was a blessing to me the first time I saw it. It took me from feeling down, to having hope.
Wonderful story! Hoping to see Donny in Idaho Falls in August 2024. Praying my health will improve enough that I can go to see Donny Osmond in concert! Can't wait!
They should be in the rock and roll hall of fame I just love them
You all together and individually are an extraordinary people.

Nicely done, thank you so much for showing their story to so many.
Thank you Carol Mikita 🤗 for this wonderful report of the Osmond Family, I love the Osmond I was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and a member Of “The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Later Day Saints”

Thank you so much Osmond family ❤
They are a national treasure. I am thankful they were and are a part of my childhood and my adult life. May God bless them.
That is how life should be!! Family first!!! Carrier later!!!!!
A talented and humble family, such a solid foundation from the Parents, loyal and full of integrity, such a testimony.
