I always loved how the Airbus flight deck looks clean and minimalist. The big giant controlled with Joystick!
greatest cockpit view video i've seen, and i watch a lot of them... pretty good, from departure to landing, amazing job, looks like they're flying a plane from back in the 80's! :D
Did anyone see the surprised look on the pilot's faces during takeoff when they heard that noise. The FO looked outside, then met the Captains look.
That’s the noise of the gear which go up
yeah but they weren't expecting it@@TheE71462
@@TheE71462they lookd a bit suprised anyways
😂
You had fabulous visibility to capture all those venues. Nice waypoints and glad to see some cabin coverage. Thanks!
Yes indeed... need some luck there, sometimes we see nothing but clouds and sometimes we're lucky.
Amazing views outside these windows with a beautiful view of the landscape, terrain, skies, and different landmarks. Awesome takeoff and landing that sounds amazing by these great pilots. Amazing and beautiful plane inside and out. Amazing air encounters to see as well. I enjoy listening to and watching these pilots as they go over everything; you learn a lot about what and how they do things. Seeing the flight crew, seeing the service, and seeing the cabin was great. Great airline and a great friendly team onboard. Overall, this video was beautiful, and I can't wait to fly again because I will be heading across the Atlantic Ocean. Awesome video, I love it.
Glad you enjoyed it Shannon and thank you for the lovely comments!
Thanks! Very interesting to see the cockpit work in detail
Love all the preflight details with weight and speed calculations. Thank you for another amazing video.
Glad you enjoyed it Ficon, thank you
Great video and nice landing sir! From Thailand 🇹🇭🥰
Beautiful nice view awesome. 🌺🌺
Outstanding video. Excellent coverage.
Wonderful point of view over island
Respect to all pilots,, they do an amazing job. The captain also fluent in three languages by the way.

Absolutely beautiful amazing video made my night thanku so much love and god bless x
Thanks very much Wendy!

At 24:40 there is an anomalous sound which both pilots react to. Clearly it wasn't nominal. They even look at each other and without words say, "WTF was that?"
What’s was the noise of the gear which go up
@@TheE71462 Hard to say. It sounded like it came from the nose gear. Perhaps there was an anomaly in the gear attenuation when it was coming up.
@@TheE71462 but wasnt a normal sound
Good Afternoon Good Job Fantastic Video Thanks
Hello Saraj, thank you and glad you enjoyed the video!
*Two matrix agents aviation activity* =)))
Yeah 😂
24:46...everyone was what the hell just happened
Nose wheel still rotating fast into bay, huge vibration as it was stopped by auto brake??!!
Little bird strike? Idk
@@Mike7478F The nose gear doesn't have any brakes at all on it, so no, not autobrakes. There are friction pads on leaf springs located at the front of the bay that rub against the tires to stop wheel rotation. The main gear, yeah, I'm pretty sure thats what was causing the vibration as they were being braked during the retraction sequence.
Nose wheels doesn't have brakes, they only have this pads or brushes that stop them. I've experienced this before and those pads worn out. The vibration is so intense as if the whole cockpit panel is about to disintegrate
@@cruxader27 ok let's not split hairs or be pedantic, it's another form of a brake to stop a spinning wheel right? Clearly not up to manufacture spec was my point!!
I will love to be a pilot one day!!! I love aircraft
Same
Having flown out of HKT several times, it was interesting that from taxiway B, the crew did what amounted to a 270 deg turn to the left instead of a 90 deg turn to the right to line up on the runway. That's one way to make sure you have as much runway ahead of you as possible during the take off roll.
They briefed the back taxi
Good morning, this noise is normal in some Airbus 330 comes from the nose gear. It happens frequently after takeoff. Great from Brasil. Tks Just Planes..
Hello Alexandre and thank you!
then why did they look at each other like they didn't know what was going on? Kind of scary that the pilots didn't know what it was
thank you for a very interesting video. I have not been abroad from the U.K since 2009 and we were planning to go to Seychelles last year, but COVD stopped that, and Seychelles is still listed as a Red marker by the British government; same as many other countries at this time , anyway I am 79 and still hope to go to my ex-wife's home country again.
My god I miss this ! Did 5 HKT - Scandinavia in the winter of 2019-2020 .. hopefully im back in the A330 cockpit soon :)
I hope you are too very soon... A330 to HKT... must be the old Thomas Cook Scandinavia which we filmed a long long time ago... Hope we can come back one day!
yeah it is:) Would be amazing to film our crossing over pakistan afghanistan indian etc , and the best part landing rwy 09 :) And the return with max take off weight back to scandi with snow and ice :)
I thought Swiss (Edelweiss) had scrapped all their A330's?
@@geoffphuketInPhuket neither swiss nor edelweiss scrapped their a330-300. edelweiss did however give away their a330-200.
Vey nice video!
;-)
good job
I would love to hear the Gate PA announcement for Phuket.
Tajmahal & India-Pakistan border view was awesome
Thank you very much for using Panasonic!
I can't wait
Me to haha
An intetesting video.
Thanks very much Mike!
When they started take off roll at 23:52, “T.O. INHIBIT” was showing in purple on the ECAM. What does that mean?
1st officer has his trousers rolled up
I still find it funny to see the pilots using a side stick ( joystick ) to operate the taxing, but mostly for the takeoff...and manipulating the flight. But these videos are great to see!!
There was some annoying high pitched noise that was pretty consistent throughout the video....
And most video editing software can suppress this kind of noise easily, but they don't do it before upload :(
That’s the noise of the gear which go up!
I love travelling
And hopefully we can all get back to traveling in a few months.
Pilotlar gerçekten çok saygılı ne söylediklerini bilmedigimhalde sohbet veya ders öğretir gibi saygılı.
Hi JustPlanes big fan of ur channel and I'm actually from Myanmar, yes the country the FO mentioned. Pls Pls do come document the Burmese aviation industry...I'm always waiting for it.
Hello Thiha, thank you very much! Glad you enjoy our channel. A long time ago we visited your beautiful country and made a film of Myanmar Airways as well as Air Mandalay. Maybe one day we can be back!

Excellent sightseeing flight! Where is that mountain ridge @35:45? And right afterwards those nefarious chemtrails poisoning people look awesome too. (jk)

Why the best flight videos look like being filmed with VHS?
I traveled in by Swiss plane to Zurich from Delhi in Boeing 747 - KRSubramanian
My Thai wife did this exact journey, same plane, two years ago. Would it be reasonable to assume these aircraft have now been scrapped?
It isn’t! In 2017 Brussels Airlines bought the airplane, it’s now flying under the registration OO-SFT and it is only 21 years old. It is parked since March tho, but I think that’s only because of COVID-19.
@@Matsvr Okay, maybe not the same reg, but an identical Edelweiss A330
@@geoffphuketInPhuket even then, I think they aren’t scrapped. Maybe they changed operators or just stayed with Edelweiss (they still operate 2 A330’s)
That Russian mountain though. You were at 40,000 ft and it looked almost like you were level with it when you zoomed in. 5000 m is not much over 20,000 ft though, if my rough mental math is any good.
Pushing the limits with 2 pilots on a 12 hour flight. It would be interesting to see their fatigued performance in a tough cross wind poor visibility landing.
You are right, that is a very long flight for 2 pilots. They did get several days rest in Phuket as opposed to just a day and it was a morning departure. We've filmed some other flights on Edelweiss where it involved a long night flight and they had a relief pilot so it probably all depends on the type of flight/daylight etc...
Just a piddly fucking stick controls that massive damn thing amazing is all I can say
F'n yeah Mo Fo. Yo mama.
Sorry, why are we travelling to and from Phuket during Covid?
this was most likely filmed pre covid
this video is about 5 years old
Why is the Captain not using the MCDU/FMC of the A330? Why is he using a computer instead?
you mean for the performance calculations?
the mcdu isn't capable of calcualting them.
for some airlines, the performance calculations are done by dispatch and then the pilot can request them via acars in the mcdu, but most airlines perform the performance calculations externally, they then input them into the performance page of tha aircraft so it displays the correct speeds.
❤👍
Next Flight Thai airways please😊😊
I wish we could film Thai but never had any contact with the airline.
Modern pilots have the role similar to that of an office worker
U know its going to butter when u hear 5
One day i will also become a pilot!
All the best and hope you do become a pilot!

Nice video. Slightly painful static noise...
Thank you Lauri, yes indeed... sound can be a pain in cockpits sometimes... specially on older planes.
Why did the FO pull up his trousers? Lol
What happen on 24.46 hahah pilot looking each other

something went wrong at 24:40, the look on both pilots face is concerning. Strange, all went back to normal immediately after.
I saw that too! I wonder why no one else has mentioned this...
@@jakezxz1352 probably a bird strike. But still intrigued.
