This video is pretty much a lesson on how to work in a cockpit environment! Tranquility, Calmness and Elegancy! Kudos to the Captain and to his fellow F/Os
Gotta say this captain is brilliant at communication, he is telling everyone what to do, what he expects and how it should be carried out but also that they need to ensure he is doing his job right in a way that just suggests complete confidence in his crew and himself without arrogance, a great skill. Also a fantastic video, fs2020 here I come lol!
This scene make me remind to my previous job as a Flight Operations, crew briefing, flight plan, weather, acft report, technical & etc. Greeting from Malaysia. 🇲🇾
Thank you to the Captain's and the pilots @ Just Planes for sharing the beautiful snowy wintery cold video I hope you all kept warm in the cockpit in the plane👍🌹😀❤️
A great, personable and very professional flight captain!👍 Swiss precision...🇨🇭👌 🌹Rest in peace, HB-JML.(ex Austrian Airlines OE-LAL)🌹😕 (1999 - 2016 ) This A340-313 was taken out of service at Swiss in 2016 and than scrapped.🙁 Thank you so much for this very interesting and now historical video, JP!👏😉
The Captain is a consumate Professional with great Situation Awareness, Impeccable leadership and true Commander.Pleasant cockpit and crew atmosphere in general. Please notify me for more videos featuring Capt.Luciano.
Thank you so much for allowing me to watch i really appreciate it and enjoyed it very much the live chat and the take off was wonderful thank you so much Just Planes
Absolutely 💯 fabulous and very professional Captain and the First Officer !Wonderful detailed briefing. Wish you safe sailing and perfect touchdown. Thank you.
Just saw this and thoroughly enjoyed seeing this. I loved getting the chance to see all the behind the scenes work and planning involved on the part of the pilots in preparing for a flight. The Captain was very impressive, he showed great knowledge and took time to explain everything and safety was obviously of great importance to him. Loved his sense of calm and patience as well as his professionalism his attention to every little detail. This is the what I think a great pilot should be. He took the time to make certain everything was as it should before takeoff. Somehow you just knew with him in command that all would be fine.
JP.....Hello! Thats the way to show these filming video's! I wonder......outstanding production! Thanks so much! Have a nice evening......until Saturday;)) Greetings Betsy.
I’ve seen this captain and even the fiat mate before, super professional. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, I would do same on my boat. Navigate on!
Great vid again. This afternoon I was watching the livestream, but unfortunately, after 15 minutes, I had to go to work, so now, i am watching the rest of this great vid.Thank you for sharing!
Its pretty cool to watch the de-icing because i work at the company where thoes exact de-icing trucks were built and i been one of them to build, assembly and test these de-icing trucks
I never heard flaps and slats setting called on the take off roll. Captain said they’ll be set on the roll to prevent ice buildup. Did I miss it? Thanks,
He mentioned that in case of heavy icing or snowfall, they would set the flaps just before the take off roll, but that was not the case as it was only light snow.
Camera postions between captains legs or above their heads is not a good idea on landings and take offs. Always missing the magical moments. Even though you have another ca,mers showing outside on the repeat , but we are missing the cockpits view (instruments+pilots+exterior views)
Do U.S. crews do this kind of prep? Seems like they just show up at the gate and get in their seats, and maybe the captain does a quick walk-around. Is that because this is a long haul, or is it a cultural thing?

Just Planes has THE best aviation videos. These European pilots are so "classy" and professional.
topgeardel you’re very kind. Thank you very much👍👍
@topgeardel Every continents pilots are professionals. Get that in your skull.

What a great captain!! Such a professional
Carlos Castañeda he sure is. Only Captain to have been in 3 films in our series
I'm as impressed with the people who designed, manufactured and assembled these planes as I am the pilots who fly them.
Hello from India. Meticulously put forth. Deepens my love for aviation and my respect for such highly skilled pilots! ❤
Super perfect captain and first officer. So much care and the passengers are assured of good rest and pampered food. Great flying
Leadership, teamwork and crew resource management from the captain!

Great video JP! Nice to see the de-icing process and the procedures followed. Keep up the good work. Stay safe and take care. Thank you.
So interesting to see all of the procedures in the cockpit. Thanks again @Just Planes for the amazing work. Made my evening!
UDO is a good disturbance to have captain in the cokpit! You guys are awesome!
Very professional. Thanks for sharing, and need to have this one to watch the full flight
Andyphone very welcome. Thank you!
I like at 30:00 that he keeps checking the rear vision mirror to see if he is holding anyone up in the fast lane. :):):):

Random Fact: Did you know that the accelerate stop-distance on a dry runway is calculated without reverse thrust, on wet like in this case its with.
Bondman007 that’s a very interesting fact indeed. Thank you

SwissAirlines normally flies the a330 into Newark but sometimes the a340 or even the triple 7
Intervine? Yea right. Sit down, and be quiet. Great work. Cheers.
Sempre é bom ver quando os responsáveis estão no comando da aeronave 🙏🏻
Eu Aqridito!!!!!
Very sincere and typical captain.
Bravo👍👍👍👍👍
The captain is a real knight✌
This is a good video for the armchair captains who say "the plane flies itself" - so much work in the cockpit.
Never before noticed a terrain overlay on the ND with figures (here: 043) at 30:13, maybe the obstacle clearance height?
they are maximum elevation figures. The 043 means the highest terrain in that sector is 4300 ft
He is an amazing captain
Another great video 👊😎👊
What a great captain. Thank you Sir. :)
Beautiful Takeoff
Great video as usual!! 🙂
Best meaning of CRM bravo captain 👩✈️
Hard to believe this was 5 years ago. I hope Mr Covolan enjoys his well deserved retirement!
Bondman007 actually he went on to fly for Edelweiss Air 😁👨🏻✈️✈️.
Just Planes I know but didn‘t he retire in the end of last year?
This capt is a boss

What does “RANGE CHANGE” mean on your flight plan display @6:05
Anthony Kago It’s just that he changed the miles range of the display.

Just interested in you putting the date of the flights in your videos. Thanks
Just excellent
FABULOUS
I like this flight
Why is the first officer holding the side stick during takeoff?
So when it's 3 pilots does the captain stay in the cockpit during the whole flight?
No, he can go rest to the crew rest room
@@gabrielc9397 ok thanks
Must be always 1 captain in the cockpit
That's one no nonsense captain.
Nice and Beautiful
Captain love to talk about his flight time.
That's the kind of video that a Saudi pilot watches before moving to Europe.
Did anyone else hear a Mayday Mayday Mayday Swiss.. at 29:46?!?
Captain sum ting Wong would be happy
I wish he would do a DHL A300 Movie :)
who was flying the plane at take off? they both had their hands on their stick.

No, the crews of in the US do this checklists and preperations too at the Same way.
Could have had better cam footage. I can look at a guys head anytime. But not out the front went taking off.
