OMG, I like totally cracked up @ the lady who bid "777." Bob asks her if that was her lucky number. She replies, "yes" & wins!
dang... those washer and dryer colors... not quite out the 70's yet in 1981
The moment where Sandra said, I broke my bra at the contestant‘s row was hilarious! It was even more hilarious when Bob Barker said, I beg your pardon? at 22:52!
Lol Ol'Bob probably thinking it's never a dull moment on his show
They Need To Go Through All 5 Decades To Find All The Funniest Moments Of All Time & This Is 1 Of Them!
Sandra is so cool even with a broken bra :D
Definitely the good old days!
ken manor definitely lol
Jaaaaames Stewart! Come on down!
"Thankyou, Clarence!"
"the next item up for bid is......a playtex cross your heart bra!!"
After sesame street we I remember watching this, then the STORIES, in the summer time that is. because if you wasn't home sick from school I hardly got chance to watch.
I enjoyed every one of those 42 minutes! It`s safe to say it was worth it ;-)
Pledge, wood cleaner, is hangin' in there. Lemon pledge on the '81 game show and the game show network ad cutaway was a blue pledge can. That's how you know it's a winning product, lol ;-)
Johnny O is truly the best.
he doesnt really sound like an announcer! George Gray sounds more like an announcer
Post more episodes, please. I grew up watching since 1980-1981!
OMG!! Cynthia Lewis, the third person called out of the audience during the show's opening, used to date my brother!!! She is a nice, sweet lady. Thank you so much for this posting. I never knew she appeared on the show because I was in school during the time of these episodes.
Also, my sister, Renee Conaway, appeared on TPIR circa 1977, early 1978 and won the final showcase. I wish I could find her episode uploaded on you tube. Sadly,
she passed in 1984.
Sorry to hear about your sister. Hope you find it!
@@thejollyrancher6713 Thank you for your concern, Maurice. I hope I do, too. It would make my sister’s daughter and granddaughter happy,.
It is funny to watch even old episodes of this and trying to guess the prices and getting into it like it is a brand new episode. At 25:35 damn shame he didnt win the socket set. As the potential owner of a Ford Escort, he is going to need plenty of tools
Not wrong. Fixed Or Repaired Daily. 😆
I didn't know Barbara Billingsley played on here.
I'm supprised that those DD's didn't fall out.
Watching this at high speed is a hoot !
22:33
Sandra Hallasay ,The
"I broke my bra" lady.
Original air date: February 2, 1982
Thank you. Found this in my 1981 folder. Was trying to file it
I love it when johnny laughs and chuckles.
Watch when he's the guest on Whats My Line lol
Me 2
22:36 the bra part its funny. Bob is too funny
Not for her it wasn't!
@@JohnSmith-zw8vp true lol
"Show us what our contestant wins"
"A BRAAAAAAND NEW BRA!!!!!"
@@crimsontide1980 Well one time Rod Roddy goofed on an IUFB and said it was "a Bar-B-Q and a new car!" then "No no no no! A lovely dinette group!" Then Bob asks "Roger...eh Rod...would, would you like a glass of water? Or a glass of something?" :D
@@crimsontide1980 lmao 🤣😂
Wow, a car with AM radio! :-P
Jealous
@@kateelizabeth4278 as IF! Lol
Bob Barker looks good today as he did back then
Linda Thrall watch the documentary Perfect Bid. It has a semi-recent interview with Bob Barker.
I can remember when, even am radios, heaters, certainly a/c were only available in cars by special orders, yeah, I'm THAT old!!
I remember seeing 8 track tape players in cars like the 79 thunderbird.
Thank you
22:33 Sandra breaks her bra.
Dannyboy Thank you.
haha you COULD watch the rest of the show, you know? lol
Gravydog316 That would be a waste of time.
Dannyboy Thanks!
Thanks
Broken bra aside, that "brand new" car looks like a shiny used car at Carmax today. Boy, this sure was the good old days.
Cars werent always as flashy as they are today. That's just how they looked. Guaranteed it was a brand new car.
@@JC-11111 I'm pretty sure that was his point.
That was extremely trippy hearing Walking after the Showcase bids...
I can still buy that exact size of Cello's cherries! & they've only gone up 41c in 36 years!
wow!
Man, Bob rules!
Bob is too much 😂😂😂
Wow, look at how young Bob is. Must be a very old show.
christine jones he was 57 when this aired.
82, someone said
Bob’s hair hair didn’t turn white until 1987
@YankeePat94 he stopped giving a shit and stopped dying his hair in 1987.
1981 and the washer and dryer. Was about $800.
Barker's Bargain Bar is that one game I actually do miss, but it's for the best I guess.
It's still around, it's just called Bargain Game.
Bob is hilarious in this episode and Sandra has a great sense of humor about it. Would definitely be edited or downplayed these days instead of “is everything in its place?” Still quite funny.
I miss the old Barker, once Johnny died I firmly believe he started to go down the rails slowly.
And also counts the death of his wife, Dorothy Jo.
I know "you wouldn't get away with that today" is just something people parrot in the RUclips comments, but why exactly do you think this would offend anyone?
18:09 Cue #10 (head start prize cue) as heard on "Concentration" 1973-78.
RIP Johnny Olson
This playing of 10 chances is PFC for what we see in the Carey era
Bob Barker with dark hair...LOL!!
With what her outer garment was, it was hardly noticeable.
Zenith stil as the same logo after over 30+ years
I own that popcorn popper. still works too.
This was a fun episode, thank you for uploading, poor Sandra, all that embarrassed moment and did not get on stage.
Aside from the hair, Debra resembles Loni Anderson, same cutesy face. Then, there is Janice's little sister, ummm...should have shown her famous picture from Playboy- Playmate Ann Pennington Miss March 1976 LOL! !
Though, as usual (personalty plus)- Holly did a great job.
I bet all these appliances are still working today. I just noticed they played the family feud music on the car
And here is the next item up for bid: “It’s a neeew braaaa!!!!”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@susantapia4136 Hahaha "a new bra"? SOI SOI SOI SOI ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL
35 dollars bob!
no one had pimp hand like Bob Barker
My mother had a popcorn Popper similar to that lol it makes some good tasting popcorn lmao
Also a cue malfunction, as they use the come on down/out of contestants row cue going into the final commercial break.
Funniest thing was when the "Come On Down" music came on at 39:52.
hell yeah
Heh. That happens all the time on this show. Sometimes they just bid one dollar over.
28:50, Bob Barker: are you completely relaxed now? Sandra, NO! That was even more hilarious than the I broke my bra moment!
Two different parts of the "Family Feud" theme song within the first 11 minutes of the show--and Family Feud aired on a rival network at the time.
But, they were both Mark Goodson--Bill Todman productions.
6:29 I hear the family feud.
Family Feud was influenced by The Price Is Right. They heard that song, and just had to use it for their intro. Thought it was hilarious, though.
James has got a great hair, sideburns, mustache ensemble
Go for it James 😜😘
Including the one bid prizes, The contestants won a grand total of $15,206.
That was fun
Forty SevenDollars for a Hot Air Popcorn Popper??! That seems like an awwwful lotta money!!
Microwave popcorn wasn't around then. You had to either cook it in oil over the stove, that or Jiffy Pop.
Notice the camera had to tilt down when showing the giant price tag. I read on a website that the 'Grand Game' set was higher than the price tag.
If they built bras like they built those cars back then, that explains it.
Then the Japanese industry started making bras (and cars) and blew away the American versions for reliability. Bras were like Toyotas--they went for 200,000 miles before they even needed to washed (the bra) or oil change (the car). The bras were so reliable and durable that they frustrated men everywhere who couldn't get them off the women. Not like the good old American bras that latched in the front and a solid hug of the girl would make that puppy pop right open! Or, two fingers in two seconds for the ones that hooked in the back. The good old days.
Whew! No Double Overbids here! 😇
Thank goodness I can find classic game shows here, like this marvelous post. I have lobbied GSN for a classic channel, but my requests fall on deaf ears. So I am left to watch classic game shows here.
Thanks for this! I miss Bob and Johnny. The new TPIR with Drew and the new format is just...well...wrong.
Back when people weren’t so “sensitive”
“Reach in my pocket!”
Had Penelope lost the Clock Game, it would've been 0 for 6
The theme from FAMILY FEUD was used in this episode.
wow.. the days when cars were so cheap..
1981 TPIR version of 'wardrobe malfunction' :)
Inflation is funny like that lol
I'm looking for the December 26, 1980 episode (# 3925D). How could I
find a copy of that episode of the Price is Right? Thanks for your
help!
17:10 sounds like he was saying "are you wasting too much time with your ironing, struggling with your boogie?"
if anyone has seen the gameshow marathon episode of the price is right watch the video as they show the histotry the woman at 22:4 was in it and so was the guy with glasses
She must feel lucky not to get to spin the wheel
26:56, I remember when I was five years old, my teacher brought an air popper to class for snacktime. I touched it and got sent to the carpet to sit down without a snack. Kids, don't touch appliances like that.
Matthew Smith sounds like a bitch of a teacher
notice in the early life of Grand Game (my fav. game) the windows behind products lights up when the game is revealed
The hand smacks the eye, fizzle's but the price is right even 30 yrs ago.
I’d give up all the modern inventions, to go back to then…
This has to be one of the oldest full-length tolerable quality TPIR episodes on YT.
not even close ... there's some great quality ones from 1972 on YT. :)
@@leomdk939 I think I meant one of the oldest uploads. There are newer uploads that look worse than this one.
How many wardrobe oops moments t.p.i.r going to have!!
They did use Walking after the Showcase bids. Well, they did use the original Come On Down cue for the first several years, so it's probably a long-term flashback lol.
Sandra is so adorable bruh :')
My only regret with these is how rarely they play Golden Road. Seems like they played it a lot around 1986.
TEN CHANCES - RULE OF ZERO, IF THERE IS A ZERO IN PRICE ITS ALWAYS THE LAST NUMBER!
0:29, that's not James Stewart. That's the Meathead from All in the Family. I can't believe he won the showcase. Archie must have been furious at him.
I think I had that stereo.
Barker banged ever woman that strolled through that studio.
Is that a fact...my mother and three of her sisters visited the studio for a taping and that did not happen with them.
Doug Montgomery Too late Doug. Freudian slip? You misspelled taping for tapping. They got the Barker treatment, but I won't say anything. Shhhh.
I said taping and I meant it, funny man. Get your mind out of the gutter.
Doug Montgomery Haha. I'm just playing. I like Bob, he was a cool kat.
CJS, play somewhere else. You are as funny as a cry for help.
I wonder what would have happened if Sandra DID make it out.
I would love to know how many times Bob got kissed thru out all his years on this show.
1981 when life was normal.
ty
It's funny seeing all these old things and them calling the prizes new! If they gave me that car today, I mean, I'd be happy cause it's a new car, but I'd wonder what's up with the 30 year old car lol :D
A fav
Her bra broke around 22:40.
+George Pierson thanks... Jesus whomever put this up needs to learn how to condense
lol its only a bra.... sheesh...
Wow! Looking for the products
< $1.65 really brought home how prices have gotten insane nowadays! I lived back then too, still shocking. 😳😲💲
I loved how the women's hair looked liked at this time. Puffy like michael jackson's in the 80s
22:40 is when it happens
i notice something in that ten chances playing, she used only the 9,5,3 for the stereo and not the zero. in my head it was 350, 390, 530, 590, 950, and 930
Cynthia's look on first seeing the prizes was, "WTF is this stupid shit?"
At 23:49 the dude says "well last night" and the audience started groaning just before the edit. He lost though... edit : oh no that dude won!? =(
HAPPENS AT 22:40 YOUR WELCOME!
