Also of note the majority of the clips towards the end may look familiar. They were part of a previous clip video however for some reason that video doesn't have a lot of views.

Hey may have competition in his day like late greats Peter Tomarken, Gene Rayburn, Monty Hall, Richard Dawson and Alex Trebek. But nobody has lived this long and have more success than he did. And Bob is doing just well despite a tough time like now.
Last time I heard bout Barker was reported he was in a wheelchair.

Bob Barker...not only the most fantastic show host in the history of TV, also the one who has lived the longest! As of my comment, he is 98 years old. I've loved him since I was very young. The best thing about being sick when I was a little girl was staying home from school and watching Bob Barker on TPIR!!!

* I have to add how people felt comfortable to go up to a stranger male hosting a show and plant their lips and hands all over him. Not today. He took it pretty well most times.😁 He'll probably go down in history being the most touched human. lol...and of course, he touched too. 😉 He's hilarious, ocd! and seemingly down to earth.

Something tells me Aaron Paul… ended up being a little happier when he got called to do Breaking Bad… And then when he was supposed to only last the first season… he was so good that he ended up being not only one of the greatest performers throughout all the seasons of BB, probably made more than 100 times what he would have won in the showcase :-)

They have magnets that keep contestants from running up uncalled. The system clearly thought he was trying to steal Patricia's spot. If you look closely you can see where the magnet activated and pulled him down by the shoulder.
That first clip had me dying. Bob immediately realized how comically sexist his remark was when the vacuum came out lol. Marine lady was probably like "Aw heeeelll naw"

And I am glad that comedians are hosting game shows now. Wayne Brady for Let's Make a Deal, Steve Harvey for Family Feud, Jane Lynch for The Weakest Link, Joel McHale for Card Sharks, Jimmy Kimmel for Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Pat Sajak for Wheel of Fortune. It's great. What a time to be alive to know that game shows will remain a staple in pop culture and have these amazing hosts make the show entertaining to watch.

I'll always be grateful to my crazy neighbor who wanted to go on The Price is Right and took me with her. Although I watched it throughout my childhood, I never attempted to go on it even though I grew up in Hollywood. It was great time seeing Bob Barker do his thing in person.
I think everything worked out for young Mr. Sturtevant 😉 and 40:22 makes me think of my dad's favourite saying of "That's a longer word than marmalade."

11-21-1996: Probably the only episode to have not one, BUT TWO technical CAR wins!
3/3/1989 had a tech win in One Away because they had the 1 loaded as the wrong number for a 6, and on the same episode, where an empty hole was picked in Punchboard, and it was decided to give the contestant the $10K anyway.

I loved it with Bob doing the game show. He actually wanted the contestants to win. It just feels like Drew Carey doesn’t want them to win like it’s coming out of his pocket. Bob was so great!
keep in mind that after Bob left, not only did Rod, but they replaced the show producers as well. Drew is well known to be extremely nice in real life, so I would chalk it up more to the new production doing some belt tightening.

Rod was the best host, big voice big charisma! The others try too hard or phoned it in.
Johnny Olson was amazing also as the original announcer for TPIR, the guy who came up with "Come on Down!".

Those Ford Windstars are known for that, at least in my experience. We had a 1995 where that happened several times...
Ford Windstar are problematic cars and my uncle used to had a 1999-2003 model.
For the love of God I can't find it to save my life but there was a playing of Hole in One back in like 2003 where Bob was making his inspiration putt and he asked the woman contestant to do commentary like they were at the golf course. She said, "Bob is bending over." Bob just replied, "please day Bob is addressing the ball." Then she went on to say say, "he's hitting around, which must be illegal." Bob then playfully took the mic from her and motioned to the model that she should do commentary. Omg is was so hilarious

My copy is from the original airing and has the special report from PG1 to Showcase Showdown #1. The moment in the clip was before IUFB#4.

Anyone recognize Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad? It’s true - he appeared on TPIR. He was the geeky looking dude in the red t-shirt who went over in the showcase by a minuscule amount.
20:08 this is the only known instance of the one away game where a contestant didn’t a single number right on the five-digit car. It happened the other time in February 1988 with the four-digit car.
$50,000 bid? The bid readouts can only hold four digits in contestants row and the Grocery Game 10 eggs for $21.90.

The 1/3/2000 episode started with Rob Rosa winning a car on TPIR. He admitted to me and several others in the online game show community that he'd won a car on TPIR long before it aired.
Which would be a violation nowadays where you can't spoil anything until the show airs. In fact that rule has been in existence for many years.
