+Gimli Son of Glóin you could say he was a wild character but yeah he was the only one that did't what the throne i kinda remeber him saying something to denerys like it's just a throne of metal and swords or something.
Ahhh, Jaime vs Ned... The history there... Ned bested and killed 3 kingsguard soldiers (with help of Howland Reed though). One being the greatest swordsman alive at the time, Arthur Dayne. Arthur taught Jaime all he knew as well. This is why i love this universe! The show doesn't go into much background detail. THat is a bad but also fun thing!
in my opinion, one of the least mentioned but most epic scenes out of any of the seasons is Catelyn "recruiting" those knights to escort Tyrion. Can't put it into words, but a truly awesomely acted moments!
he was pretty badass during Robert's rebellion. If I remember right, he used his greatsword really good and he killed a famous knight or something like that in the tower of joy.
Iron Freddy he took on 3 kings guard knight alone although he was saved by Reeds with joind in later who not only matched them but maneged to kill 2 of them
QurttoRco Ned had six friends with him when he took on the three Kingsguard at the tower of joy, though he slew Ser Arthur Dayne,"the Sword of the Morning" single-handedly.
Sad truth, Barristan wasn't lying when he said he could cut through the five other Kingsguard there like carving a cake. He and Jamie are the only ones left from Aerys' Kingsguard, and that was the last good one.
3:25 Littlefinger is like, "Oh snap, have I just condemned everyone here to be butchered by a master swordsman?". Haha, Barristan is concentrated badassery.
transformersloverjon the body lives by using the blood preassure, if there is no blood , the body dies. if you stab the brain , you are still alive because the heart keeps working at least for some seconds , but if you stab the chest, you can cut an important way for the blood killing you in 1 sec. but anyway its just a show
2 seasons later, the words still echo in my head "THE KING IN THE NORTH!" Now he is dead and still i can hear it. That is the magic of Starks. Their spirit lives on!
I love the scene where Cat rallies the bannermen to arrest Tyrion. It had come after so many episodes and scenes extolling the virtues of being deceitful, manipulative and generally assholish, and then we have this scene where Cat shows that being a good and honourable lord to your lessers inspires respect and loyalty. After all the shit scummy characters pull, I always look back to this scene.
megaguru777 Proving that Game of Thrones isn't just about the absolute worst human beings getting away with whatever they want, no matter how much it seems like it.
You mean how she kidnapped someone for a crime he had nothing to do with? After being told not to and basically fucking up everything for Ned? Yeah, real honorable.
Pete Byrne We the audience know that Tyrion was innocent, but consider the situation from her eyes: the Lannisters hate her family's guts, the Lannisters murdered her sister's husband (or so Cat believes, fucking Littlefinger....), the Lannisters have just been to her home, leading to her son being crippled for life, and someone who tried to finish him off was carrying a Lannister weapon.
Its a shame, they never gave us the Battle between Khal Drogo and The Mountain...i would go ith Drogo, hes quicker and just dance with his enemys until he rips somebody tounge out...
We saw what Oberin did to him, only if he wasn't crazy by making mountain confess rape and shit, he would kill him, and Oberin and dothrakies (dunno how to speel that o.O) are very similar in fighting stiles (dancing Bleedingtounge mentioned).
You should've added the part when the dancing swordsman tells the girl...there's only one god, the god of death. And what do we tell her? NOT TODAY...sheer epicness:)
Something I didn't know about Ser Barristan Selmy before reading the books: He is a fantastic swordsman. One of the best in the 7 kingdoms. It's not something they made super clear in the show.
The show glosses over it but in the novels it is explained that the host at Oxcross was a brand new force being raised from the dregs of the Lannister cities and their farmboys, raw and untrained recruits that broke and ran when Robb and Greywind rode into their camp. Tywin's own force of 20,000 men is still unscathed by any major fighting and was actually bolstered slightly when the remnants of Jaime's army linked up with them
4 Words: The Battle of Blackwater. And you can see clips of it already on the trailers for season 2. It's on episode 9 of the second season and it's the biggest battle of the whole war and believe me, even though the budget is much lesser than that of LOTR, it should make The Battle of the Pelennor Fields look like a High School backyard fight.
It's a Westerosi broadsword, too heavy for his fighting style, he'd be worse with it than he is with the wooden sword. But he's a boss with the wooden sword, anyways, he took out four fully trained and experienced Lannister men-at-arms.
That entire video was a series of 1-3 move synchronized fights. Further, it was done with the presumption of no armor and no shield. In fact, the title of the video itself states that it is fencing.
Although he isn't as honorable as him but after reading the book and the dream Ned has, Jaime Lannister reminds him of Arthur Dayne. As if that was his first test against a knight of skill since that day on the Tower.
6:15 you know.. wouldnt it have been a good idea to pick up that guy's real sword, or any of the next few, instead of insisting on fighting with a stick? 6:54 that scene was so damn awesome. I actually rewinded when i watching that episode and saw it again a couple times lol. overall some great scenes but i think the faceless man should have earned a spot here too!
The end reminds me so much of Skyrim. Infact Game of Thrones reminds me a lot of Elder Scrolls except Game of Thrones has seven kingdoms, and Tamriel has 9.
Jaime is one of the best swordsmen alive, but Ned is far from average. He and Howland Reed were the sole survivors in the battle at the Tower of Joy, besting the Sword of the Morning and two other famed knights of the Kingsguard. Lord Eddard simply never had a taste for tournaments. Still likely to lose to the Kingslayer, but certainly worth more than a good sworn sword.
dapumpkin19 I won't be so sure, he's very agile and strong, so i believe he could disarm Mountain and then use his own sword to kill him. But it's just my thoughts.
I know, but it is so cool a twist and it comes up so far ahead that few people will notice it by the time it comes up. I feel that spoiling something from the inmediate coming season is even worst by comparison. I did not even give details about it.
Because Syrio's fighting style is much a like fencing and those guards using broadsword or 2 handed sword does not suite well with Syrio's sword technique.
I think I remember Twyn Lannister refering to having 60,000 troops at the outbrake of the war. They added I think another 30,000 later on and at King's landing they recruited some 6,000 for a total garrison of 12,000 against Stannis. If Jaime lost half of the 30,000 out of the original total of 60,000 then the Lannisters lost at least 10,000 of the new raw recruits at Oxcross. That is 75,000 - 25,000 before King's Landing's Stannis attack, Right?. Medieval armies were not large at all indeed.
Kahl Drogo is still the most badass. I loves him.
Loved*
+Gimli Son of Glóin you could say he was a wild character but yeah he was the only one that did't what the throne i kinda remeber him saying something to denerys like it's just a throne of metal and swords or something.
please upload in lower quality
God I fucking loved Robb. He'll always be my favorite.
One does not simply upload a video on RUclips at 240p in 2014
Ahhh, Jaime vs Ned... The history there... Ned bested and killed 3 kingsguard soldiers (with help of Howland Reed though). One being the greatest swordsman alive at the time, Arthur Dayne. Arthur taught Jaime all he knew as well.

***** The Kingsguard is no joke
Congratulations, my friend. You are the first person in the world who doesn't spoil Game of Thrones.
Everytime I see Theon pledging himself to Robb, I just imagine him saying "For now and until 2 episodes later"
+Slaughter919 yeah i loved that character it really sucks later on.
in my opinion, one of the least mentioned but most epic scenes out of any of the seasons is Catelyn "recruiting" those knights to escort Tyrion. Can't put it into words, but a truly awesomely acted moments!
Frankly the Jaime vs. Ned fight was the best in the show, if not even one of the best swordfights in film history.
+Jose Rosly yeah until someone stabs him in the leg with a spear like a dick seriously what the fuck that dude deserved to get knocked out.
Is it just me or Sean Bean looks like a guy that if you give him a claymore he would be 1 man army
he was pretty badass during Robert's rebellion. If I remember right, he used his greatsword really good and he killed a famous knight or something like that in the tower of joy.
Iron Freddy he took on 3 kings guard knight alone although he was saved by Reeds with joind in later who not only matched them but maneged to kill 2 of them

NoReaSoN2CaR3 Ehh I didnt read the books so I dont have a full knowlage of those events. Anyway it's a about Sean Bean not Eddgard in particular
NoReaSoN2CaR3 He didn't slay Dayne single handedly. Where in the books does it say that?
Love the king in the north scene *chills*
The King in the North scene is the most exciting
hype is coming
+Yashpal Krishna yeah but what happens later on sucks but that's why i think this is the best goddamn tv show ever.
Sad truth, Barristan wasn't lying when he said he could cut through the five other Kingsguard there like carving a cake. He and Jamie are the only ones left from Aerys' Kingsguard, and that was the last good one.

Stabbed in chest: Die instantly.
Stabbed in brain: Live for a couple of seconds, before dying.
GOT logic
transformersloverjon do you even know how the human body works?
Gastedir Astar A man does not fall dead 1 second after being stabbed in the heart. It takes a moment. It's fast, but not that fast.
transformersloverjon the body lives by using the blood preassure, if there is no blood , the body dies. if you stab the brain , you are still alive because the heart keeps working at least for some seconds , but if you stab the chest, you can cut an important way for the blood killing you in 1 sec. but anyway its just a show
Gastedir Astar Can you please cite a source?
2 seasons later, the words still echo in my head "THE KING IN THE NORTH!"
Now he is dead and still i can hear it. That is the magic of Starks. Their spirit lives on!
Gosh, how I miss you Robb Stark...
Gotta love how jaime is just playing with eddard :D
well chosen last scene ;) enjoyed the video
Nice move Jory, charging directly into Jaime...
I love the scene where Cat rallies the bannermen to arrest Tyrion. Completely agree. One of my favorite scenes throughout the whole show.
megaguru777 Proving that Game of Thrones isn't just about the absolute worst human beings getting away with whatever they want, no matter how much it seems like it.

Well put together sir!
Its a shame, they never gave us the Battle between Khal Drogo and The Mountain...i would go ith Drogo, hes quicker and just dance with his enemys until he rips somebody tounge out...
TheBleedingTomb In his armor, The Mountain would own his ass. But Drogo is a much better fighter otherwise.
We saw what Oberin did to him, only if he wasn't crazy by making mountain confess rape and shit, he would kill him, and Oberin and dothrakies (dunno how to speel that o.O) are very similar in fighting stiles (dancing Bleedingtounge mentioned).
So many awesome scenes that are going to happen I can't wait. The Battle of Blackwater, the fight at the Wall, the battles Dany participates in
You should've added the part when the dancing swordsman tells the girl...there's only one god, the god of death. And what do we tell her? NOT TODAY...sheer epicness:)
Gotta love the look of fear in Jaime Lannisters eyes as he realizes Ned Stark is about to beat him.
A very good video indeed.
Hell yes boyzz best diffention I have ever seen in my life it's just to good to be true
LOL!!! Good vid tho
240p for the win!
#LivinInThePast
Something I didn't know about Ser Barristan Selmy before reading the books: He is a fantastic swordsman. One of the best in the 7 kingdoms.
It's not something they made super clear in the show.
Would of been hilarious to end the video with the scene from s3 e10. "HERE COMES THE KING OF THE NORTH. Haha
What was so hilarious at those bastards doing those shits to Robb? Are you Joffrey you fucker?
TheSkipRow Gaming it was hilarious fuck the north hahaha
Taj B Trolling is never getting old is it ?
HoneyBadger My Khaleesi is still alive baby
Another 1 And?
doesn't get more epic than Sandor v Gregor, friend ..
A CROWN FOR A KING!
Lol, pwning with a wooden sword, that earns my respect
The guard of Jaime Lannister has Uruk-Hai helmets. Cool :P
Yes he would.
Hell yeah
Not to mention that Robb Stark is a pretty bad ass military commander.
Nice quality.
The show glosses over it but in the novels it is explained that the host at Oxcross was a brand new force being raised from the dregs of the Lannister cities and their farmboys, raw and untrained recruits that broke and ran when Robb and Greywind rode into their camp. 1:38 Ned is like "Oh heeeeeeeell no."
4:07. Jorah is such a badass
Sandor Clegane...true knight , i hope he's alive in book...
The hlmets of the soldiers with red capes are like the urukai helms in LOTR
You see those Dothraki riders? They had curved swords. CURVED. SWORDS.
Yay :D
Theon the honorless oath-breaker!
THE KING IN THE NORTH!!!
The king in the north makes me cry. You know why.
It's a Westerosi broadsword, too heavy for his fighting style, he'd be worse with it than he is with the wooden sword. But he's a boss with the wooden sword, anyways, he took out four fully trained and experienced Lannister men-at-arms.
Syrio Forel vs the redskirts is the best :D
God damnit Theon.
The Hound we already know about. Go back and reread the scene (in "A Feast for Crows") where Brienne goes to the monastery on the Quiet Isle.
Except you! :o
WHY CANT I LIKE THIS HARDER?!?!?!
Jaime's sword is so badass
Syrio is the ultimate badass
the dude who snatched boy tongue out and the little man and the little blonde boy and the most interesting for me to see on the show
King in the North!
THE KING IN THE NORTH
baristan selmy legend!
The king is dead :P Long live the king.
same here
That entire video was a series of 1-3 move synchronized fights. Further, it was done with the presumption of no armor and no shield. In fact, the title of the video itself states that it is fencing.

i thought it was quite realistic, i really liked the way they did it
Syrio forel like a boss
Fuck yeah SYRIO FOREL! One of the closest things to a Yoda we get.
The chapter is written from her perspective, so once she runs his death isn't described. But it's pretty much assumed that he's dead.
JORYYYY! :'(
I love Dothraki fighting style, Khal Drogo is a fucking badass
Red Viper and the Mountain.
Holy shit wasn't sure whether to watch this buy it looks pretty epic
I would do the same.
One does not simply stop an epic duel.
King in the North is most epic moment
There is always someone new to kill or allow to survive near death.
The end reminds me so much of Skyrim. Infact Game of Thrones reminds me a lot of Elder Scrolls except Game of Thrones has seven kingdoms, and Tamriel has 9.
woo syrio
Cupcakes for everyone! :D
@dean4125
Next season they are going to have the Battle of the Blackwater, which is the one of many battles throughout the series.
In the next season they're devoting 15% of the entire budget JUST to the Battle Of Blackwater - Get excited for that!
0:14 Drogo just died.
Idk, Jaime is a kick ass warrior, and Tywin is definitely a complete badass. He don't take shit from no one.
Its very possible that Jaime was toying with Ned in this scene
ser barriston is the most badass night there is :D
his hand knows it
I keep thinking how painful it would be when Jaime punched his soldier in the goddamn helmet.
oh theon he so cute :) heh
Don't worry, we'll get a Hodor chapter.
"Hodor hodor hodor" Hodor hodor
This series and LOTR are very different beasts.
I'd love to see fanmade Khal Drogo vs The Mountain :o
The mountain would easily defeat Drogo. The Mountain wears heavy plate armor which Drogo's curved blade can't pierce.
dapumpkin19 I won't be so sure, he's very agile and strong, so i believe he could disarm Mountain and then use his own sword to kill him. But it's just my thoughts.
dapumpkin19 hell naw the Khal would fuck the mountain up hands down
Rad Grump Agreed
Jamie lannister vs Khal drogo
Vicious but awesome fight
I know, but it is so cool a twist and it comes up so far ahead that few people will notice it by the time it comes up. I feel that spoiling something from the inmediate coming season is even worst by comparison. I did not even give details about it.
King of the North is the best scene..but i wonder how many were just drunk and were like WTF the next morning.
@dean4125 no worries my friend. blood will be split in season 2
You have to question why Syrio didn't pick up a real sword in that fight.
Because Syrio's fighting style is much a like fencing and those guards using broadsword or 2 handed sword does not suite well with Syrio's sword technique.
Maybe, but I would imagine that a steel longsword might be more effective than a lead weighted wooden sword, a rapier not being at hand.
i thought so too, but sometimes we just got to find an excuse to keep watching this movie because of some tiny flaws they make.
Oh Theon...how mislead you were.. :(
