Confused you said free but it's coming up with $500 for an annual membership, have I clicked on the wrong thing. I just watched the whole video and really enjoyed it and wanted to follow along with myself. I was really interested in what budget program or app you're using and what you like and don't like about it, I've never found one that I can stick with it ADHD brain haha!
During one of my many major moves (that time from Los Angeles to Albuquerque) I was living in a small one room apartment, so I didn't have truckloads of stuff compared to "normal people" but still had more than I should have had. Anyway, I did get rid of some things and then shipped most of my remaining stuff in a UPack moving pod. For a few days I stayed in Los Angeles with just a sleeping bag, 13" TV (this was in 12/2005), one pot, one bowl, one of each utensil, a few items of clothing, and my 2 cats. When I came back from an errand one day and opened the efficiency apartment's door and saw almost nothing but the TV and my sleeping bag in the middle of the room, there was a moment when I prayed that ABF would lose my moving pod. I felt FREE...totally FREE.
Very necessary to help lessen the overwhelm in your life, mentally. Being constantly surrounded and closed in by 'stuff' can start to get heavy on your mind
Love it! I've been a serial mover in my career, and I tend to collect tech gear or reference material based upon the current engagement. I found it much easier to manage by organizing each engagement in a storage box (or trunk if the gear was oversized) that was attractive and useful enough to display. At the end of the commitment, I could easier sort thru that container, to toss, sell, or move along to the next engagement or hobby status. The container could then be repurposed for the next gig. My projects may have been a source of chaos in my life, but my home never reflected it. It was also a lot easier to pack for the next move and not lose items with this habit.
I big step for me recently has been to sort stuff into transparent boxes. If I need a cable or battery, that is in the cables and batteries box. Same with MTG and DnD accessories (in the nerd box).
i've always thought of minimalist lifestyle as keeping things that you 1) need for day-to-day living, 2) keeping things that you regularly use, even if they seem like trivial things like sunglasses, accessories, 3) limiting "sparks joy" items to the ones that you would be devastated if you lose them, 4) building an environment and lifestyle that gives you comfort, peace, calms you down.
Yes, keep the rings !! Minimalism is not about getting rid of everything except what you need to just survive lol Minimalism is getting rid of what you don't need/use, like cutting the dead weight. You enjoy your rings, so you keep them. Simple. :)
I’ve been thinking about decluttering my diaries as well… actually got rid of one item yesterday that I’ve owned for 20 years but never used 😅 progress!
Honestly, I didn't get much out of this video. I could say this was a minimulist attempt at a video. But, it just doesn't work for me. You actually have made me realize In need to decluter my youtube subscribe list. So thanks for that.
You should have your money in different banks. If one goes down, you still have the others. FDIC only insures the first $250,000 per account holder at bank. If you spread out your funds, you have more FDIC insurance coverage.
I hope we would have the choice of language. What I receive is a translation in French, but I prefer the original track because this is obviously more natural.
I'm a life long minimalist From childhood , I have always found too many possessions a burden I love to find new ways to simplify. .Decided this week was time for a fresh look at my life Its worked a treat. We all slip back and acquire. It's been such a worth while. exercise Feeling lighter. Love the rings Gabe do retain your individuality.
I thought I had too much stuff until I watched this. I have half the amount of clothes - by design. I had a clean out recently to trim everything down.
It’s so satisfying to see a closet emptied lol no idea why! I love doing this and my almost 4yo loves to help me declutter:) She absolutely loves helping with chores since she was around 18 months. She reminds me to change the litter boxes, and makes me work extra hard every day😂 Whenever dad leaves for work she says, “lets have a cleaning day!” Haha. Her fav is to clean the stove with a sponge and dish soap. Lol. She does enjoy normal toddler activities too I promise😂 I guess I got lucky here, though I’d say it’s weighed out with her sassy temper lol! Sorry that was rambling lol! Woah I love your rings. This is making me think of how I can represent myself with style. The rings do actually look really intriguing. It totally gives me Stefan TVD vibes. Love your videos as always! I’m joining your reset challenge, sooooo so excited!!! God bless you for creating this and allowing anyone to access this for free. 🫶🏼 I hope your family is doing well! :) We have 2 toddlers so your life is quite relatable!
Don't get rid of journals! I'm almost 50 and i kick myself for getting rid of a journal i had when i was 16-18... when you're older you may enjoy revisiting this years.
Its fascinating that hardly anyone has heard of the book Unveiling Your Hidden Potential. I believe it was banned but I recently saw that it has been returned
Thats a random spot to keep your beef jerky! 😂 Didn’t know where u guys lived before! So cool! Never really seen u declutter before, I don’t know why it seemed like u already did that, but if u have taught us anything, it’s a life process!
ADVICE: How do you get rid of old journals and organizers that have notes or personal info? I have old calendar books from years ago, but have no idea how to dispose of them. Help! Lol
“as far as pants go i have an undersupply right now” he says with his stack of like 6 pairs of pants and im over here wearing the same like 3/4 pairs of pants year round 😅😅😅
This looks like a depressed decluttering. Decluttering/ resetting supposed to be relaxing and happy activity as it clears you away of burdens & clears mind and gives new positive perspectives and glows u as a person
Can you make a video on selling items like clothes? I am trying to save up enough money to get a service dog so I can return to college. It was suggested that I try selling clothing items that I no longer wear and house hold Items but I don’t know where to start.
Change the journals into a book? Or scan them into a computer? Sad to lose your process at the beginning. Can you tell I have a hard time letting go of things? 😂
Minimalism is (for me) like life without life energy and joy. They made some kind of "cult of minimalism". Sorry !!! I don't like "season home decorations", too (a lot of dust and wasting time). But, I love books (closed glass book shalwes).❤ Middle reasonable way is 👍. Use transpatent good quality boxes. Good luck !🍀😊
Let me tell you what nobody is going to tell you. Building wealth has never been a one person’s job especially if you are just starting. One of the best choices you can make for your life at this point is to be able to get someone who believes in your growth and will be willing to help you grow. You can make a big change before Christmas and have the celebration you have been wishing for. Big thanks to Larysa Caba. I will always be grateful for everything you did.
I feel one Of the greatest challenges that we first timers face in the ma rket is that we end up losing all we have, making it difficult to find ourselves back to our feet. My biggest advice is to always seek the services of a professional just like I did when I ventured into it for the first time. Big thanks to Larysa Caba. I now make huge profits by weekly through her services while still learning to stand on my own.
I feel this is quite an easy one. You already have her name which makes it easy for you. Just look up her name online. I’m sure you will come across her. That’s how I found her too.

The mental calm really is the true benefit of decluttering. Decluttered about 100 items today and it feels amazing!
Well done! Love that feeling
literally feels like a breath of fresh air

Love the rings! I think my wardrobe is as small as yours, but I love my jewelry too!

So how's the minimalism coming along ?
Yes, keep the rings !! Minimalism is not about getting rid of everything except what you need to just survive lol Minimalism is getting rid of what you don't need/use, like cutting the dead weight. You enjoy your rings, so you keep them. Simple. :)
I have been decluttering on and off for a year. It helps me to better
The rings look great! If you use them and they make you happy then they are minimalist.
Thanks 🙏
So great!! I love it. It’s a lifestyle that has to work for YOU - not about what others think.
Enjoy!

Gabe glad you are going through everything and either selling or donating.
Thanks for the inspo! I've got a lot to declutter before moving from a 4 bed house into a 2 bed apartment next month. Your office is looking good :)
Love your videos. Thank you for all the work you put into it. 🙏
Gabe ,another great video!
I'm right behind you
Love this!
Great inspiration. And,yes, always keep things you love. It's a bonus if they are also fun, lol! I'm starting a new declutter project myself.
Thanks for the tips. And I love your rings! Don’t get rid of them.
I don't know if the rings are cool or not. But being comfortable with knowing what you like is very cool.
Thank you Gabe! Great video ☺️🙏🏼 Loved getting to see your cute little family in the last vid! 🧑🧑🧒🧒
I thought I had too much stuff until I watched this. I have half the amount of clothes - by design. I had a clean out recently to trim everything down.
Unveiling Your Hidden Potential by Bruce Thornwood (thank me later)
0:30 Do not keep your guitar near to the radiator. Too much heat affects glue, wood and strings and it slowly kills your instrument.
Which platform are you using to manage your budget?
You know a box cutter is pretty useful. Mismatched plastic hangers to bro?
I love the rings, and the Victorian shirt. Wear them together. 😊
Brilliant as always 💚 Making a life designed for me is great advice we don't have to get anyones opinions. Carpe Diem Always

Gabe, as someone who only owns one dress shirt and one pair of dress pants, I think you can have rings without scrutiny 😂
Gabe, How To Keep Focussed As A Teen From Temptations Which Disrupt Focus Towards Goal Sometimes?
Really random question but does anyone know where the coffee mug is from in the video?
Don't get rid of journals! I'm almost 50 and i kick myself for getting rid of a journal i had when i was 16-18... when you're older you may enjoy revisiting this years.
I just reset my kitchen😅

I would disagree and say that decluttering is not “supposed” to be anything, let alone “relaxing”. It can be relaxing but is not supposed to be.

Where did you get your coffee cups from? I love the look of them and havent been able to find them
Oh Can’t believe I am the first to comment

I am watching it now, and thank you always for the inspiration.
Let’s go!
I like Gabe. Short version of decluttering: Throw stuff away. #done.
World will be a much better place if we just stop judging each other
Decluttering clothes??? Sir, your original pile is my current wardrobe after INTENSE decluttering lol
Any sewist/quilters on channel...in Jan "just get it done" does 30 day challenge.
As for money, I thought they say not to keep your eggs all in one basket.
Change the journals into a book? Or scan them into a computer? Sad to lose your process at the beginning. Can you tell I have a hard time letting go of things? 😂
Eyyyy fellow New Englander
I like the rings. I tried wearing some myself, but they feel uncomfortable.

Minimal doesn’t mean nothing… rings are fine 😂😅😂. People shouldn’t be extreme, it’s not healthy…
I do hate your rings. Like, just pick one at a time. But I also couldn’t care less; you do you.
Look like a school room😮
Yes
💪

If I decludered I would have as much as you started with. I'm one person, yet my walk in closet it stuffed....lmao
You are too handsome for words.
Agree. 😊
Now declutter those hangers for thin wood hangers....no more plastic!
I like the rings, tho.
Great vid!
(Haven't watched)
You sold your Bitcoin just now?! Man!! It takes up no space 😅 at least you made some profit xx
Where is New Zealand on the map 😢
Those rings 🤦🏿♀️
Amazing how tiny Africa is on that map…
Hey😂❤
opening scene of a decluttering video-buying art from Ikea lol.
Lord of the rings....
Did you get divorced?
What a Lying Title though
This is not minimalist talking. Just sayin'. It's extravagantly wordy.
