What's up everyone, just wanted to give you a in depth look at the Saint Laurent Chelsea boots. They are some of the most well made durable shoes I have ever worn and owned in my life. Although a pretty high price point for some boots I think worth absolutely all the money. They come in different varieties, finishes, colors, and materials but today I am showing the classic pull-tab chelsea boot

They look amazing, you should review some R.M William chealsea boots. The wear on them is second to none, one piece of leather that goes around the whole boot. There probably the best boots ever made. And there half the price of these.
Hello again Alex! Hope everything is going well for you. I have to let you know I went and purchase the YSL Chelsea boot , and I can't believe it how beautiful those boots are. They are just perfect. right out of the box , no Breaking in require !! You are a bad influence :))) also bought the red sneakers to :). Looking forward seeing more videos from you
I've got these exact boots in a 41 and I literally traipsed through the uneven Georgia backwoods with loads of rocks and overgrown roots for a couple of miles (not by choice, rest assured) and they were fine to walk in and held up perfectly. These are probably the best boots I've ever had. And they still smell like leather and not foot odor thank God. I do recommend a small gel insole for sensitive feet, though, as they can blister in odd places on the soles of your feet if you walk miles and miles in them.

MonsiieurAlex Atlanta has one of the best music scenes I've ever seen--definitely recommend visiting! The coast is great, too! Yeah, I can wear them without socks for a few hours and they still smell like leather--I've never had a pair of shoes smell so wonderful in my life! Definitely look into the gel insoles--they're a life saver on longer voyages à pieds!

I got the oro los angles as an alternative but honestly I think I’m gonna return them & go straight to the Saint Laurent.

YSL are just up there!. I would buy a pair but the heel is too high and a little on the famine side for me, but great quality.
SLP boots are the best!!! I love mine. I have the french 85 boots too I think those would be my favorite so far.

Hi Alex. You should definitely, without a doubt, have a blog. I'm sure that many people would like to know all you're wearing in your pics on Instagram. I know you have tags on your pics, but blog pics are better (depending on the camera), and you can provide links 😊. Those boots are killer, btw. I know good boots when I see them.

How do these compare to CP Achilles low in terms of sizing? I'm a 41 in those, 9 US in Air Force 1, 9 in Converse Chuck 70, 9.5 in Vans Old Skool and 9.5 in stan smiths. The stan smiths are a bit loose, for boots I prefer a snugger fit. My CPs are the perfect size. What size do you recommend?
I have the Hedi 40 zipped boot. Very similar to the Hedi 40 Chelsea, with the exception of the zipped style and high leather vamp. I love my boots, and I love the height. The silhouette of SLP boots are so unique and can tell them a mile away if you're an acquired shoe aficionado. I definitely prefer the SLP chelsea over all chelsea style I've seen because of the form fitting and modern structure. And not a lot of people have the Hedi line, which is absolutely one of the reasons why I bought it. My next SLP boot will be the French 60 chelsea, I can't wait. 😬😬
How much taller does it make you? Just wanna know cos I don't want it to be too tall

Great video, you should really get your hands on some Wyatt boots. I got a FW13 pair and they are amazing, the fit and everything is just perfect.

love these boots so much, next time you wear Saint Laurent boots wear skinny jeans with them, skinnier than the ones you had because the boot has a slim silhouette and so should the rest of the outfit

Monsieur Alex! I'm sad you did not talk about sizing & fit. This would be valuable info for noobs (like me). How would you compare them to a few popular brands that may not be high-end designer? I.e. I am going to buy one of ysl chelsea boots, which one should i buy, suede or leather?
depends on your personal situation, do you walk through dirt ever? do you find yourself in rain sometimes? do you prefer the matte look of suede or the sheen of leather? bear in mind it's harder to keep a suede shoe looking nice than leather one however it can really stand out if kept well.

SLP without a doubt. The CP chelseas are so bulky and the toe box looks way too round.
Nice review. These are lovely boots no doubt but I honestly don't think the quality is as good as it should be for the price point. The calf leather is lovely but they don't keep their shape as well as say a similar Gucci or Prada boot in my experience and I have all three (I use John Lobb shoe trees). Saint Laurent can be a little hit and miss with footwear as I have bought Classic Wyatt harness boots which have had faulty zippers....not something you expect for a $1300 boot! As with many things it's all about the name (brand). Design wise I cannot fault Saint Laurent but my experience says consistent overall quality needs improving.
+Connoisseur M They really aren't I do agree with you. I've gone through 3 pairs in the past 2 years that my parents gift me. It annoys me because the Ready to Wear quality of Saint Laurent since 2011 has declined so much. Honestly I bought a Saint Laurent leather jacket and it ripped and started coming apart after a month. I had to get it fixed back in October and my jacket is coming this month.
+Connoisseur M Sorry you had that experience with your shoes. I agree that the quality can maybe sometimes be HIT and MISS. For example I tried the MENS SAC DE JOUR and when I picked it up in store the snap closure to the gusset sides broke off I was like uh what LOL.
I honestly expect things to be perfect at this price point but sadly that's not always the case. I'm glad that you're enjoying your Saint Laurent boots and not babying them! So many people by so called high end luxury items and don't really use them, for fear of them getting damaged...so why buy them in the first place? I say wear them, just as you are doing and get good use out of them. Keep up the good work Alex and ignore the small minded haters.
Do these Saint Laurent Chelsea boots have a slimmer ankle cutting compared to other Chelsea boots? I have a pair and the only complain I have is the slightly loose ankle fit that it has.

Wooju Styles Lee Yes! The sales are still currently going on now. The Sale started about 3 weeks ago and will go on for another week ot two.
The next Sale period will start right around Thanksgiving or late November.

I believe he said that the sale is on the website, also you will almost never get the classic pairs on that sale. Only crazy outlandish boots. If you want this specific boot, go on grailed or maybe mr.porter and check if they have similar ones bc they let Hedi go and they don't make Hedi boots anymore.
