  • We recently had the great pleasure of having our friend Scott McKeon visit us in the Peach Guitars studio, John sat down with Scott to discuss the SM FUZZ range of pedals - the origin, uses of both pedals and why now is the best time to pick one up for yourself.
    For those of you who might be unaware of Scott McKeon, he burst onto the scene in the early 2010s, finding himself in demand as a session player, both live and in the studio, working with many artists including James Arthur, Lana Del Ray, Van Morrison, and Ed Sheeran to name a few. His playing has since become stuff of legend and after forging a formidable a career, Mckeon received the call up to work with iconic musician Sir Tom Jones, a position he holds to his day.
    McKeon's tone has been envied for decades and now we are super excited to announce you too can now experience some of the secret tone sauce through the brand new Scott Mckeon signature fuzz pedal.

    What a great session. Love the tone and insights.
    I started my career as a QA Engineer working with obsolete transistors, not your Buz or BC kind, your germanium top hat monsters. A lot of the matching and selection was what we did day in, day out. Shame this great company was bought out and production / manufacture ends in December after 40 yrs of innovation. Remember the name; Semelab
    Great channel guys. 🚀🎸👍

    I LOVE how John interviews these- he actually KNOWS what he's talking about and has great questions and insight into the products he sells. I almost wish I was in the UK just so I could be a customer at such a fine establishment. I'm near Wildwood Guitars here- and they have Greg Koch and all- but really- you guys are on top of your game there at Peach. John- hair's lookin' stylish too! Like the longer look- more rock and roll!

    Hi every one ! I have. aquestion about the SM Fuzz Octave
    Do u think it will change the sound and how it reacts to put it on a loop from a switcher ?
    The point is, I'dl like to use the Octave side by it self with other pedals of mine.
    Any thoughts ?
    Thanx !

    Sounds killer, great playing as well! I agree, on the battery discussion, Fuzz pedals, Wah Wah sound better to my ears with cheap carbon zinc batteries that I get for a dollar at the “dollar store” near my home : )

    That sounds like something my strat needs in her life. Yes, it's a she. I'd use the octave side with no gain to go from fuzz to octafuzz. But man, 350 gbp is quite a bit of money...

      While I do agree that these things sounds epic, I just got a Fjord fuzz Odin that is absolutely incredible. Normal fuzz side cleans up real nice and the octave side is absolutely filthy. I’d check it out. Andertons has a demo of it. Sounds like it might be up your alley. A little cheaper as well.

    Geeezz mate! Shut up a second and let the man play! Scott is an amazing muso but you keep interrupting his talk and his playing. You are interviewing Scott but you talk more than him, far out!

    • @ThomasHope73
      @ThomasHope73 2 года назад

      Well, this more conversational style of interview speaks to mutual respect these guys have (as they obviously know each other), and reveals insights from two experienced people, rather than one. It’s casual and informative.

    For the love of me...fuzz is by a mile the worst effect guitar oriented...just behind the Miku pedal of Anderton's fame...

    • @godfreydaniel6278
      @godfreydaniel6278 2 года назад +6

      You poor thing - The Miku pedals will one day be worth a fortune - as a historical curiosity if nothing else. Buy every one you can find, and remember people said Klons were overpriced at $200. And fuzz? Fuzz is foundational to rock n roll - period. From Satisfaction to Credence to today. Have you seen this wonderful movie "The Sound of Music?" Something tells me the cutting edge songs it showcases just might be up your alley...
