This is brilliant and Frank...I just sent you a mail to your gmail account to buy a set of these brackets and casters. The rest I have here in my shop. I'm an older guy now and the only problem that I had with these quickjacks was rolling them and lifting them around my shop. This is THE solution. Thanks again.
Great Idea Frank! Thank You! I just purchased the 7000's and they are really to heavy to slide around. I have plastic sliders (8 per frame) but this is a more permanent solution!
Only the torque of the nuts, which is why I opted for the elastic stop nuts or locknuts, you can also use loctite thread lock. I don't think it'll be a problem unless you'll be rolling it around all day using it professionally.
@@fdeguilla Got everything installed. Works great. One thing I learned is to keep the wheel shafts as vertical as possible. I see one customer had you ad a tab to the brackets to keep them from rotating. Good idea. Thanks Frank!
The ground clearance defined by the QuickJack alone is 3". What is the clearance increase when these casters are added? This is important for low cars.
Forgot to mention that I have the “quickjack frame extension” on top of my quickjack, this adds to the height another 1 9/16”. I did measure it again using a 6” scale, the wheel mod currently installed on my quickjack is not the same as in the video (I have the the updated version of it, which has slightly bigger wheels and the anti-rotation tabs) the clearance that the wheel mod added was approximately 7/16”, plus or minus 1/32” (.4375) my total height without the frame extension came to approximately 3 1/4” (3.25”). I took the measurement at about the center point of my quickjack, the floor is fairly level, I have the Quickjack BL-5000SLX.
Ordered. May need a second set for my older 5000 rails. These will go on the 7000. And I found the one with the rods included after I placed the order 🤨 Do these come painted like the pics show?
@@pjfan173 they are currently $300USD per kit which includes all hardawre and domestic shipping. International buyers pay shipping. The kit price may change as steel prices are a little higher now.
I make a wheel/bracket kit that makes moving and positioning your Quick Jack lift a breeze! Check out this item in my Etsy shop www.etsy.com/listing/909190874/wheel-and-bracket-kit-for-quick-jack
Am I the only one that dislikes the bracket setup on a single pivot point off-center? Very untechnical to fixate the bracket by pure force on the nut. Bends all brackets when you load the jacks by accident or otherwise.
Frank Pagano is making the L angles with the casters, info at the bottom of my post, everything else (1/2-13 12" long threaded rods, washers and nuts) you can pick up at your local Home Depot

@@Pagweldfab You should add the axles to the kit so people don't have to go out and search for the proper ones. You can probably charge about $300 for the entire kit. I will definitely be buying a kit from you when i get my quickjack. I'd pay extra just for the convenience of not having to search for the rest of the parts.
I really like your idea. I thought I was the only person that had trouble moving these beasts around.
Snia crazy smart and I cannot believe Quick Jack hasn’t thought of this
Wow good job..very precise..RUclips should hire this man... maybe even get him a lift
Hell of a nice setup, but at $360 with taxes that’s way too much for wheels, that’s kind of insane.
Agreed

This is great! They are so heavy to slide on the ground and put away!
Thank you for the video and ordered the kit from the provided link.
ok, that's clever. so well played.
Genius!!! What a great idea and thanks for sharing.
I found another video last week and the wheels were like $2 each but this seems really stable but anything to help move these beasts is useful .
This a is a brilliant ieda I'm suprise quick jack hasn't made some something similar themselves.

That a hell of a good idea
Brilliant idea 👍👍
How are the rods 12? There to short!
I have the model 5000, 12" is the perfect length for it, not sure if it's good for the 7000 model.
Is the thread bold the same for the 7000txl?
I'm not sure, I kinda remember seeing another video of someone installing one on the 7000 model
what are the dimensions of the brackets and the offset dimensions of the wheel mounts? I have a drill press and just need to make the brackets
I need these. Yesterday I pulled my back out trying to move my QJ's from under a car. Maybe I can open a lawsuit against! QJ!😁
Is there anything that keeps the wheel brackets in place if the nuts loosen up over time?

Hallo, can you measure dimensions of square rectangular shape of tubes used in Quickjacks? I am planing to do my self something similar.
The ground clearance defined by the QuickJack alone is 3". What is the clearance increase when these casters are added? This is important for low cars.
I just measured it from the floor to the top of the quickjack, no rubber blocks, it's approximately 5".
@@fdeguilla That is way too much. I would accept an extra 0.5" but not a full 2" increase in height.

do the new version come with the tabs to prevent rotation??
That’s what I was told by the guy who makes it, but I haven’t had a chance to see it or try it yet.

What size casters are those? 1", 1.5" or 2" ?
1.5"
They will not work for lowered cars that the quickjack barely fit under neath
That is smart
Amazing
