Nice solution. You are right - it is a real PIA to light that thing up. This will make it a lot easier. Thanks!

Get a sheet of 1/2 inch plywood and cut to fit for the lower frame that prevents you from grinding up the frame

Look like the ones I got off Etsy a while back. There are other versions as well.

Do the brackets ever loose there position or is the treaded rod cranked down so tight that the brackets don't move?
I would think the clamping action of tighten the treaded rod so tight to keep the brackets from turning might affect the quick jack joint.
Why doesn't Quick Jack make these? It's like a no brainer. Come on man.

Yeah no joke. They even revised their units recently but for some reason haven't figured out how necessary the wheels are. The brackets are tightened enough so that the wheels can hold their position but that's not tight enough to prevent the quickjack from moving freely. The brackets are still loose enough that I have to adjust them every once in a while but for the most part can hold the weight of the quickjacks just fine.

Nice setup, What size wheels did you use? How much do the wheels lift the quickjack off the floor? I installed a set of wheels in a different setup and mine is about 1" off the floor. It is a little more than I like.

Thanks! Did you do the zip tie method where the castors go under the quick jack? The way that this bolt through method works allows for a lot of adjustment so it can be as little as you’d like. The lower the better otherwise the quick jack will move on you as it lowers down. I have it at most half an inch off the ground so I can still move it over the expansion joints in my floor. The wheels are 1.5 inches.

@@jontansgarage thanks for the reply, I actually drilled holes in the plates that the blocks sit in and mounted the wheels under there, but it sets it a little higher than I want. I also got some rare earth magnets to hold it together so the bottom doesn’t drag. Those work great

Hi Jonathan: Could you give me the catalog number or item number of the aluminum angle from McMaster Carr? I can't seem to find it on their website. Thanks.

Sorry, can't believe I forgot to mention it in the description. They are 1.5 inch casters from Menards.
