Quick fix when you find the buckle is upside down
Static Spark
Static discharged through a penny. Most people don't actually see static discharge, they just feel the jolt, they feel it because it's jumping through their skin, you won't feel the shock if you let it jump from a piece of metal like a coin thus creating a spark. I was able to build enough static energy just by simply taking off a fleece sweater, and it had enough energy for a second spark after the initial one. On a technical aspect, this is why you should always wear an anti-static wrist strap before working on any electronics, also why you should never enter a confined space that contains gas fumes before it's vented properly.

upon closer inspection, it looks like either the bushing failed or the structure holding the bushing elongated due to wear and vibration, we'll find out after we take it apart.

Quickjack wheel mod install
Просмотров 34 тыс.4 года назад
No quickjacks were harmed in the making of this video. This modification has got to be the best thing you can do to your Quickjack. It doesn't make sense to be dragging painted surfaces on cement, wheels were invented for uses such as this. I think the Quickjack was well designed but they just forgot to add wheels. Thanks to Tony for showing me his quickjack mod, thanks to Frank for the prefab ...

Credits to Tony F. from work, it's his video and design, he's not a RUclipsr so I got his permission to upload it. This makes moving and adjusting the location of the quickjack so much easier without dragging and scraping the paint off of it. It's only on the wheel casters when the quickjack is fully down, when the quickjack is activated, the wheels clear and the quickjack main frame is on the ...

Is the thread bold the same for the 7000txl?
I'm not sure, I kinda remember seeing another video of someone installing one on the 7000 model
If that was Boeing that'd be: "Nothing wrong with that mate, inspection passed. Next!" 😉
Is there no slides on the door?
How are the rods 12? There to short!
I have the model 5000, 12" is the perfect length for it, not sure if it's good for the 7000 model.
We have a leak on the same fmu. Does it leak at that small weep hole just below the cannon plug receptacle there on the left side also? Just checking, of course we will have it fixed before you answer, likely.
Am I the only one that dislikes the bracket setup on a single pivot point off-center? Very untechnical to fixate the bracket by pure force on the nut. Bends all brackets when you load the jacks by accident or otherwise.
"promosm"
I found another video last week and the wheels were like $2 each but this seems really stable but anything to help move these beasts is useful .
Why does the slide look so unsafe 😭
They will not work for lowered cars that the quickjack barely fit under neath
You’re wrong!
Hey bro it wasn’t the starter for me so I would test your old one I had to do the same jump with new starter any fix to problem yet
No, I haven't worked on it. My problem is intermittent, most times it starts with no problem and sometimes it doesn't, but it's becoming more common that it doesn't start. I believe the reason why I didn't find the fault while troubleshooting it was that it wasn't in its failed state, I need to troubleshoot it when it fails, only problem is that usually when it fails it's always at a time I need the car, which means I have to start it by jumping the starter, and after doing so, it usually doesn't fail for a while.
Mine dose same thing how did u fix it ?
Not yet, have a new starter, but haven't had the time to install it to verify that it's a good fix.
Bro that slide was like hurry up I wanna save some people 😂
But what causes this
Not sure, it might be a faulty starter, I bought a new one, just need to install it to see if it's a positive fix
Do you have to have the key turned to the on position beforehand?
Yes, key has to be in the ON position before jumping the terminals.
I really like your idea. I thought I was the only person that had trouble moving these beasts around.
Lol yeah I follow u
Insurance: “come again?”
yaaaaa
What did you do with the pliers to start it
Have to the key in the ON position, jump the "S" and the "P" to crank it.
Why does the door open so slowly 💀 people gotta get out
It opens faster in actual emergency with a pneumatic assist
@@urznightmarethe mid cabin doors on the 321 are designed to open slowly like this to allow time for the slide to inflate as sometimes passengers will need to use these doors depending on the configuration
if it opened fast people would instantly fall to their death (the ground)
As an actual cabin crew, on emergency doors operated by passangers, doors open slower so that slide fully deploys before anyone going out. On regular emergency doors 1L 1R AND 4L 4R, doors open faster since these doors are always operated by cabin crew. Also, slides on these doors deploy faster. Hopefully that helps
The end of the video “YAAAAA”
Boba
😂
SIMULATOR?????
No, it’s real, maintenance probably had a good reason to deploy the slide
Is it supposed to be slanted like that?
Yes
yes it’s so it directs the flow of people away from the plane esp the engine/wing area
It’s supposed to be slanted because if you don’t put it slanted you get engine heat and cause to burns
I hope I don’t ever have to hear that emergency slide deploy on a flight that I’m on 💀
Yup

Hello
Check out the one I caught. ruclips.net/video/ZK2gmQAPep8/видео.html
Wow good job..very precise..RUclips should hire this man... maybe even get him a lift
This a is a brilliant ieda I'm suprise quick jack hasn't made some something similar themselves.
what are the dimensions of the brackets and the offset dimensions of the wheel mounts? I have a drill press and just need to make the brackets
Hell of a nice setup, but at $360 with taxes that’s way too much for wheels, that’s kind of insane.
Agreed
Thank you i just received mine wey too heavy 🙏
This is brilliant and Frank...I just sent you a mail to your gmail account to buy a set of these brackets and casters. The rest I have here in my shop. I'm an older guy now and the only problem that I had with these quickjacks was rolling them and lifting them around my shop. This is THE solution. Thanks again.
The ground clearance defined by the QuickJack alone is 3". What is the clearance increase when these casters are added? This is important for low cars.
I just measured it from the floor to the top of the quickjack, no rubber blocks, it's approximately 5".
@@fdeguilla That is way too much. I would accept an extra 0.5" but not a full 2" increase in height.
Forgot to mention that I have the “quickjack frame extension” on top of my quickjack, this adds to the height another 1 9/16”. I did measure it again using a 6” scale, the wheel mod currently installed on my quickjack is not the same as in the video (I have the the updated version of it, which has slightly bigger wheels and the anti-rotation tabs) the clearance that the wheel mod added was approximately 7/16”, plus or minus 1/32” (.4375) my total height without the frame extension came to approximately 3 1/4” (3.25”). I took the measurement at about the center point of my quickjack, the floor is fairly level, I have the Quickjack BL-5000SLX.
@@fdeguilla That looks more reasonable.
The link is no good
Where did u get the wheel kit from
Hallo, can you measure dimensions of square rectangular shape of tubes used in Quickjacks? I am planing to do my self something similar.
I need these. Yesterday I pulled my back out trying to move my QJ's from under a car. Maybe I can open a lawsuit against! QJ!😁
ok, that's clever. so well played.
Wish they would sell a kit like this.
He now sells an upgraded version, with a tab on it and it's now powder coated
Where can I get this
@@frankm8870 I couldn't copy and paste the info, but it's on the description in my wheel mod video, here's the link m.ruclips.net/video/p-GG_etQHvI/видео.html
How much are they and do you ship to Canada?
I don’t make or sell it, but I have the guy’s information who sells it in the description below, I’m sure he does international shipping.
I ship international.
@@Pagweldfab can you please let me know how much they’re are
@@pjfan173 they are currently $300USD per kit which includes all hardawre and domestic shipping. International buyers pay shipping. The kit price may change as steel prices are a little higher now.
Snia crazy smart and I cannot believe Quick Jack hasn’t thought of this
Brilliant idea 👍👍
Genius
Where can i get a set from?
I have the guy's contact number on the bottom of the description.
Genius!!! What a great idea and thanks for sharing.
That is smart
That a hell of a good idea
Lovely! 😬
