It's so nice to finally see these guys getting the respect and recognition they deserve. I remember them being treated dismally and quite harshly by law enforcement when they first started - hell, some entitled law enforcement officers were downright rude to Jared in the beginning even going so far as to kick them off site once they'd discovered cars and remains, refusing to allow them to follow through with the good work they had been doing.

I was thinking the exact thing. I remember how AWP always kept their cool even when some authorities were so condescending to them. Didn't want their advise and "dismissed" them. I believe that before they became well known that some law enforcement felt as if AWP was interfering or trying to make them look bad. Nice to see the change in attitudes and respect.

To the family and friends of Jed Hall , I'm sorry for your loss , may Jed RIP . Thank you to Jared and Doug for finding Jed . When searching for vehicles under water , with a side - scan sonar , there is a difference between a vehicle that just went in the water , and one that's been there for years . You have to know what to look for .

AWP has so much experience on reading sonar imaging that the local authorities and dive teams don't have. They also narrow down their search area so that they can be diligent in the search. This is why they can find a car in 20 minutes where authorities can search for 20 years and not find it.

They found this guy under 30 minutes. What the hell were the police doing all this time?

The sonar is the big piece to all of these things. Not every police, and sheriff's office has it. A w p started doing this a few years ago. They and other dive teams are stepping up And solving alot of missing cases.

If it was easy, every fisherman would be finding cars everytime they turn on a fish finder. That doesnt happen. Many police forces dont have sonar equipment or training let alone divers. AWP has repeatedly affirmed finding a fresh car in the water is harder than a car that's been in for a longer period as its sonar signature is harder to get if its newer.

It’s easier to see a car on radar after it’s been there for a while then a “fresh” car.
AWP has repeatedly fond this to be true.

They don’t use good enough equipment. City can’t afford it, too many lawsuits. Did you see the one video where the police got upset with these guys and told them the kid they was looking for in the water probably ran away, few moments later, they found the kid in the truck, in the water. Smh

@@victorious1929 The cops felt disrespected. If I remember correctly, they were upset because they felt like AWP was stepping on their toes by HELPING them, then got furious when AWP one-upped them even more by finding the person lol

Typical cop response, they can't give thanks to the guys that found him they just say what's important was that he was found.
