I know how you feel because this woman and I are the same age and I found out about her and her journey the week before I turned 27. It made me feel so guilty because here I am being healthy and complaining about everything but she was at the end of her journey and she was being so positive and smiling all the time. I honestly cried my eyes out of guilt. It made appreciate life so much more and to be grateful everyday I’m alive for another year. Because that is a blessing let alone a gift. 💕❤️🙏🏽
@@cartermember21Didyou read the tribute to her in the videos description? It was so beautiful and you really got to know all the things she did in her life. I have no idea how she fit everything she did into the 26 years she was here. But reading that and watching the video showed what a special soul she was. You could do easily tell she was one of those truly good to their core people. The kind of person you don't meet very often because she somehow managed to hold on to innocence and not let life dampen her view of the world. It's so unfair she is not here anymore. She was one of those people who could of made the world a better place. I hope the over 6.6 million people who have watched this now carry some of the innocence she had, because in her memory we should all try a little harder to be like Maddy.
I am literally bawling my eyes out. I asked God how such a beautiful angel on earth can be taken away from those that she loves, and that love her back? Her strength is remarkable. Her smile is imprinted on my heart. This beautiful girl endured so much while striving to stay alive for her family. May she rest in peace.
You have a memory to share with all- to a time when Maddy was younger. Even though most here have/had never met her…another piece to the puzzle was just added on to it. Thank you for that.
I don’t know how RUclips recommends this video.. I have tear in my eyes after watching..my mother is diagnosed with cancer in August 24 …. Please pray for my mother😢
I am so sorry for your mother. I lost my own mother to cancer. I would not wish it on my worst enemy. I will pray for your mom's recovery. Please have hope and faith. God bless you. 🙏
There was really no other way she could be. She had no alternative, because she loved her family so much. Like, how would a loving mother possibly act any other way, really!
As I write this, I’m battling aggressive cancer too. “Not today” that’s my mantra too. I will use Maddy as my inspiration to keep fighting and live every day with love and positivity and gratefulness. Her light and strength is eternal ❤
I’m 68, lost my wife to brain tumor in 1988, my daughters were 3 & 5. Still seams like it was yesterday I lost her! Still miss her as much today as I did when she passed! So sorry on your loss!
I admire her bravery, in spite of the long scary battle she fought so well. She seemed to have a forever smile and positive outlook on her life, so that her loved ones wouldn’t be afraid or sad. I hope I’d be so brave in the face of death. RIP Maddy.❤
As a mom of three kids, I cannot imagine how hard it was for Maddie to say Goodbye to her little kids and her family. Chandler, so sorry for your loss. May God bless you, the kids, and your family.
as a fourteen year old girl watching this for the first time i wanted to let you know how incredibly sorry i am for your family. I know that thi swas a while back but no one should have to go through this. Maddy was a beautiful warrior and she truly deserved the best in life. I hope your family is doing okay now. Your children will be so proud to know that she was their mum. Rest in peace beautiful angel xx
I was 25 & a soldier when I lost my wife 35 years ago. And I have to say your're a wise young lady & have alot of compassion for others. Please don't lose that.
My goodness...as someone who's almost 3x your age--can I just say, you are so well articulated and insanely sweet. Don't ever lose that!!! You give me hope for the next generation lol
Colon cancer took my father's life. When he passed away, I decided I wasn't going to be sad, I decided I would be grateful for the time we had. I firmly believe we will meet again. When the time comes, I will ask him if he is proud of me. I am so proud of him and the work he did to make me the man I am.
5G. Preservatives in foods. Think about it. Grandparents ate meat and potato’s. Not even close to the amount of crap fast food and processed boxed foods.
As a medical doctor who has been around patients that died, even young ones, and is expected to be desensitised to the realities of life, and also as someone who is not even a crier, I was sobbing by the end of this beautiful montage celebrating your wife and your life together. Maddy was obviously a remarkable, beautiful and incredible mother, wife and human being. Any of us, never having even met her, can recognise that. My heart breaks for you, Chandler, and your kids. But you have also displayed an extraordinary amount of courage in the malevolent face of cancer as you held your wife’s hand through this and so, I have no doubt that you will not only dust yourself off and show up for your children but rebuild a beautiful life for them where all of you will thrive, just like Maddy would’ve wanted. Rest in paradise to your dear sweet wife
@@87JuliR As doctors, we are more desensitised than the average person who doesn't find themselves surrounded by the dying everyday. Desensitised absolutely does not equate to apathy, a lack of empathy or becoming blase though and that is where YOU are wrong. It speaks of the 'shock' of something like human passing being dulled simply due to sheer experience. The first patient death I saw made me bawl in the duty room, my first few autopsies attended (of people younger than me) put me into a desolate and disillusioned place for weeks. Hell, being in the PICU and seeing 5 year olds arrest made me question my faith in God. While the sadness prevails each time I encounter such a case, the intensity and shock is not all encompassing and devastating as the first or second or third time and is instead replaced by quiet acceptance. It is also the only way in which most care providers can deal with the trauma of watching the precarious balance between life and death everyday and continue functioning. I weave poems and prose from patient encounters that moved me and the wonders and pitfalls of medicine, the body, the human condition. Very far from callous. I wouldn't expect you to understand what I'm talking about unless you work in healthcare so you're forgiven for your sanctimonious and ignorant comment.
@@thanishasanthosh2204 he meant the universal "you" not you in particular. Though responding to your post he was wondering out loud how could anyone be desentizised. I am an ER trauma doc and know how to read people.

Can't believe I'm here crying for stupid reasons while there are people my age out there dying due to horrible and unstoppable diseases. Maybe this video randomly popping on my feed was the sign that I should stop worrying/having anxiety for almost everything and start living.
I’m feeling the same. Here I am over here feeling bummed out over something stupid, and then this video pops up. I can’t believe someone so young went through so much with a smile on her face no less. No one in their mind 20s just starting their life should be diagnosed with end stage cancer. Maddie has inspired me to live in the now, and stop caring about the past and future.
When you start being grateful for all the "small" things in life that's when you start living. You don't need a massive holiday to be happy. You don't need a designer item. It's a lie that we are being fed. Just because grateful for things like health...freedom...food..family....we have so much more than we realise ❤
I’m watching this and thinking “she was a beautiful person inside out.” I’m sure she’s watching over you three from above and is filled with joy knowing how loved she was.
These videos are a gift to some of us that don’t even have cancer, but have other substantial obstacles in life that feel impossible. Maddy is an angel.
Hello from Canada. I am watching this for the first time. I am in tears. I sit and again wonder why I survived Stage 4 metastatic cancer. I had cancer twice. I really did not have much hope . There was no one who survived the type of cancer I had. I am still the leader 5 yrs later . My oncologist keeps saying I am special. I look at Maddy so happy a mom and wife. Everything I am not. So with this, I shall keep Maddy in my mind when my depression knocks me down. I fought and beat cancer, but I can not win depression. I will replay this video to remind me that life is a gift. God Bless
You were meant to be HERE, you have more work to do on earth, you will find your purpose. It's sad, because in this day and age, it seems EVERYONE is depressed, including me. Something in our world needs to change.
Good for him! I know of a couple once where the wife died of cancer. She had a really good friend who helped her husband care for her during her dying. She sensed that the two of them would be good for each other after she was gone. At one point when she was still alive, she held both of their hands, and then clasped them together, as if giving her blessing to their future union. After she died, that’s exactly what happened! They got married. It just happens that way for some folks. Nothing wrong with it at all.
My mom is currently on her last days from her battle of stage 4 colon cancer that mastisized to her perineal lining (her abdomen) as an aggressive cancer as well. I feel that this video randomly showed up on my suggested videos for a reason. No one should ever have to go through what they have. And it’s devastating to watch as their loved ones. My mom was just as positive and determined as Maddy is. My mom just celebrated her 50th birthday a month ago. I believe I came across this video to show that I’m not alone in this experience. Maddy looked like she had a beautiful life that should never been short lived. Thank you for sharing your experience as it helps those like me not feel isolated in such a devastating journey. Fuck cancer.
I’m so sorry, I lost my mom to aggressive cancer back in April. Diagnosed in January and gone less than 3 months later. This life is so unfair and I wish you the best in your grief journey because it’s not easy 😞
She lived more in 27yrs then most people do in 90yrs. Thanks for sharing... I needed a reality check of the precious moments we take for granted. My deepest condolences to you, sir. May God bless you and your children!
Appalling strength to live such a full life in her last year. Thanks to Maddy her kids were left with this lasting memory of their many wonderful experiences.
This woman deserves a movie. This showed up at the top of my recommended videos. Idk why. And I don’t know why I felt compelled to click on this 20 minute long video about some random woman I’ve never met. But I did. I spent just over 20 minutes getting to know this woman, getting to watch her hold onto so much positivity when all the odds were stacked against her, something that I, myself am painstakingly terrified of. She also seems so incredibly lucky that she has such a supportive family and the ability to afford what looked like just about the best last year you can have. By the end of this video, I now feel like I know her myself. I won’t lie, it made me tear up. Maddy sounds like a wonderful, amazing wife, mother and everything else. I am so deeply sorry for your loss.
I get so angry when I see such young beautiful people inside and out die of cancer. Especially when they live a healthy lifestyle and do all the right things plus they are living their lives to their fullest. But then you see people that live into the 90’s who just waste their life with drugs and they are terrible people. They smoke cigarettes, eat whatever they want and never exercise a day in their lives. I’m not much of a religious person but I really hope that there is a good reason for it.
@@joeypilewsky1148Nice people don’t have to be trained too much anymore, so God call them back earlier than bad people. Nice people “get to” graduate from The School Of Life early! This is the theory what I choose to believe in:)
@@joeypilewsky1148 I hope you’re joking with this ridiculous and judgemental comment. People who smoke and do drugs have had to overcome horrible tragedies and obstacles in life too. @planethoth1238 Ok, so you think she’s just a young person who died? Kids in Africa are dying every minute of every day because of hunger, and some people care! But Maddy? She died of Stage 4 colon cancer and millions of people care! Maddy is not just some casual woman who came and went! She is a kind-hearted mom and wife that Chandler and his kids needed! It ain’t cool to say “Get over it, they’re just a person/animal!” To someone who lost a person/pet they loved! Maddy is more than a simple human!

It was no accident that I watched this. Though I am in tears over strangers, I cannot tell you how much I just learned from the courageous and beautiful soul Maddy seemed to be. I am about her age, I just turned 27, and I am a mother of a one year old. I can't imagine what it took for her to have to say goodbye to her family and to do her best to keep a positive outlook. She radiates strength, hope, and perseverance, and I have no doubt she will always be with your family. I will never forget her story. God bless you and your family.

She was absolutely beautiful inside & out. Pure Joy, Agape love, & a ray of sunshine. God continue to cover her husband, two children, extended family, & friends. This is heartbreaking. I’m an oncology NP & have held my patients & their families hands so many times during this journey. I never took for granted the sounds in the hallway when the bell was rung symbolizing completion of treatment & preparation for the next journey which we call, survivorship. People ask all the time why and how do you take care of cancer patients. My response is always the same, I’m not taken care of cancer patients, I care for people who happen to have cancer. None of them want this… they are strong people who have families, purpose in life. I’ve learned so much from my patients. Live Life to the fullest, everyday is a NEW day, live a life of gratitude. My heart breaks when moments like this happen.

This video randomly came across my feed and I watched every second. Your wife was and is so stunning, perhaps the most beautiful person I have ever seen. The love she had for her loved ones was so obvious and present, I can’t imagine the void you are all feeling now. She was courageous in her fight, but so are you, Chandler. And I know you’re STILL fighting with the loss of the love of your life. I imagine that what you are going through is really difficult, but I would like to talk to you about someone very special. God gives us free will to choose to live our life our way or choose to live it with Him and for Him. That is why I advise you to repent of your sins and give your life to God. Jehovah is a triune God because he is the Holy Spirit, Jesus (son) and Father; and Jesus died on the cross for our sins because we cannot be saved and we were condemned to hell because we are all undeserving of the kingdom of heaven and the grace of God. (Romans 3:23)(Romans 3:10-12). But God, in his mercy, sent his son Jesus to die on the cross and later be resurrected. JESUS IS GOD and everyone who repents of their sins, believes in their hearts that Jesus died for our sins and confesses him as their lord and savior, will be saved. Romans 10:9-10. It can be so hard, when you forget more and more, because noone speaks about the good moments anymore and then suddenly you can't seem to remember much anymore. Keep her in your memories and hearts. I wish you and your family a lot of strength.
I lost my mom when she was 52, I was 24, so not nearly as young, but I really relate to this. The hardest part has been not having anyone to remember her with me. My husband and children never knew her. My parents were divorced and my dad had just blocked her from his mind like she never existed. All that’s left is what I have in my mind, her art, and photos of her. Even though it can be hard, having someone to help us remember the ones we have lost really does make a huge difference.
@@Mrstriplejranch yes sorry you had to go through that even though you can’t find someone else to remember her with maybe someday you’ll find someone who can relate and you two can go on and on about memories with your loved ones.

God bless her soul, her children, and husband and may the beautiful memories of this sweet lady fill them with peach and joy. Thank you Maddie for blessing me with this life lesson.
I’m 21 and my mom just passed away from a chronic illness a few months ago at 52, it’s really hard right now but I can’t image losing my mom at such a young age like your children did. It’s only been a few months and it’s still hard but I know she’s always with me, just like Maddy will always be with you 💕

I went to high school with her. She was a big ball of energy that lit up the room. Always kind and made people smile

How can you even be desensitised to things like this? The day you're desensitised, you need to go do something else....

I get so angry when I see such young beautiful people inside and out die of cancer. Especially when they live a healthy lifestyle and do all the right things plus they are living their lives to their fullest. But then you see people that live into the 90’s who just waste their life with drugs and they are terrible people. Even with cancer she still had lots of fun with her family and let nothing stop her. I am sending my prayers for their family. But I know she is in heaven smiling and watching her family grow. ❤
She was only a few week away from turning 26. I can’t imagine dealing with everything she did in only two years.
@@breannaalger9585she was a week away from turning 27, not 26.
Either way, still so young had such a life ahead of her.
The husband already remarried
This video randomly came across my feed and I watched every second. Your wife was and is so stunning, perhaps the most beautiful person I have ever seen. The love she had for her loved ones was so obvious and present, I can’t imagine the void you are all feeling now. She was courageous in her fight, but so are you, Chandler. And I know you’re STILL fighting with the loss of the love of your life. I can’t make it better, but I will be praying for your healing and the healing of everyone she touched with her exuberant presence. “I’m sorry” really just doesn’t cut it, does it? I know you will continue to be an amazing dad to Wren and Andi and keep Maddy’s legacy alive. I just hope you have a strong support system. Sending all my love to all of you ❤❤❤
This also came across my feed and I too watched every single second and cried.

🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Sorry if I made some grammar mistakes, english isn’t my native language so I had to use translator. ❤

This is so brutal and unfair. As a dad of two small kids (about the same age as yours), I cannot imagine what you all are going through. Incredible tribute to her.
He will be just fine. Look at this sick photo of all family (including husband) at funeral with her coffin behind them. Every single person there is laughing like it was happy function and not one too young life lost too fast…
I don’t even know what to say to your comment except, Wow! What’s wrong with you? Your user name is fitting!
She was so young, and those kids are so small. Rest in peace.
She died but your sick…
Amy & Jamie, wow, wait, how you both have possibly misinterpreted Jesse's comment, as sick & negative in your own heads is quite unrealistically baffling.
What is actually brutal & unfair is, that all these cancers & so-called diseases, which are intentionally engineered & evily being inflicted on many.
Yet let's not get that confused, as those evil causes are NOT done, by the hand's of my God in Heaven, which is now where sweet Maddy rests.❤
Sooo..whom does that leave in your mind's, as the legit culprits, that are literally being brutal, unfair & are literally causing, these evil types of harms, on so many of our loved one's, both young & old.
Don't bother answering... point made.

As someone who lost her father to cancer at an age of 7 years old, I want to say thank you. Thank you for allowing your children to be part of the journey and thank you for allowing them to say goodbye properly. It's something I never got and I know my mother did it to protect me as a child, but it's something I have to battle with now and have been for 20 years. I also have a plea for you: Please talk with your children about her a lot. Talk about all those great memories you all had together, so they will never forget them. Please don't keep quiet. It can be so hard, when you forget more and more, because noone speaks about the good moments anymore and then suddenly you can't seem to remember much anymore. Keep her in your memories and hearts. I wish you and your family a lot of strength.
So sorry for your loss I know that can be tough I still have both my parents but I know how hard it must be sending prayers.
