- A run of Ocarina of Time by omgatree that complete's the game without killing a single enemy.
This is a Low Optimization Tool-Assisted Demonstration [LOTAD], meaning it was created on an emulator using slowdown and savestates in order to pull off tricks that would normally be too difficult for a human, but does not necessarily aim for maximum possible optimization.

So the plot of the pacifist run is that Link meets Malon, it's love at first sight, and when they become of age, they get married. Ganondorf loses his appetite for evil and became just ruler, and they all threw a massive party for Link and Malon's wedding. How wholesome.

Yet when playing intended vanilla you dont see any glitches how odd how in modern games it's completely reversed. Only glitches that last are ones that you find in vanilla game and ruin it. :)

Holding R does a coupla screwy things...like allowing Child Link to win Adult Link's Golden Scale at the Fishing Pond (instead of the Heart Piece he's "supposed" to get there)
if you work on the decomp project for a little bit you will see how bad the code quality is, and these bugs will start making sense :)
Here is the story: After leaving the forest, Link must go to the castle. However, it was a new world for Link, so he wanted some gear first. To befriend these people in a neighboring village, he solved a cucco problem and got a bottle as a reward. He also heard rumors of 2 shields at the bottom of the well so he got those too.
When he got to the outside of the castle, he saw a girl from a nearby ranch who said her father hadn't come back from his milk delivery. Link then ventured to the castle with his eyes peeled for this man. He was asleep at the entrance, so he woke him up. He said that he's welcome to come to the ranch whenever he likes. After that, he entered the castle where the princess confessed that the king and ambassador of the Gerudos, Ganondorf was up to no good and has to be defeated. However, Link thought that was too violent, so he needed another way to stop Ganondorf.
As he left the town, he also got a second bottle and a magical ghost who would give him fast travel bombs for bugs. Link then thought of going to the ranch where that cute girl lived. He used the bombs to get there. When he got there, he saw her with the horses. She introduced him to her favorite horse and taught him the horse's favorite song. She also stated how much she loves magic.
Link knew that she was the girl of his dreams and wanted to marry her, but he was too young. He remembered that Zelda said that there was a sword in the nearby Temple of Time that could move time forward. Link then took that sword and went seven years forward in time.
There was then a new problem as Ganondorf took over Hyrule and ruled it with an iron fist. Link wondered about what to do. He then remembered hearing that the King Zora stole Ganondorf's frog. He would only give the frog away as eye medication and if you gave him a cucco egg. Link knew to get the egg from that one cucco keeper, but also heard that there was a fairy who gives someone magic on the mountain and one that gives magic powers in Zora's Domain. This meant that Link could kill 2 birds with one stone by saving Hyrule and getting the girl.
This was a lot of traveling though, so he needed a horse. He went to the ranch, which had a close relation with Ganondorf. He saw the girl all grown up as well and looking even more lovely. To get a hors, he stole the same horse he met before and tamed it with the song.
After that, he went to get the magic and the frog. The Domain was frozen by Ganondorf though. Link went in anyway. Link was very handsome, so when the king saw Link, the ice around him melted. Link gave him the egg and lied by saying he needed the frog for a large goron. He then went to the fairy and got a teleportation spell.
After messing around with the spell, he went back to the ranch to charm the girl with his magic. They had a great time with each other. That's when Link popped the question. She said yes to it. A few minutes later, Ganondorf arrives to get his horse, which Link stole. He saw it on the ranch with Link on its back. He recognized him as the boy he saw in the castle and confronted him about stealing his horse. Right as he was about to throw a punch, Link asked if he was looking for this frog. Ganondorf got struck with joy and confessed that the only reason he took over Hyrule was to find the frog. He then said that he would step down from his rule, as he never really enjoyed it. Then he asked why Link was at the ranch. He explained that he and the girl were gonna get married soon. Ganondorf then promised to throw them the biggest wedding party to coincide with the arrival of the right king of Hyrule.

I'm a huge fan of LOTAD's and TAS's but dang its a real bummer to not have the guy who made the Lotad to explain whats going on and why they routed to do certain stuff

I'm so used to watching randomizers that not skipping directly to Zelda's letter after crawling through the hole in Hyrule Castle was VERY bizarre to me.

Ganondorf basically told him to retire. In a normal run, what you're really doing is convincing him to leave retirement.

I always wondered if forest exit was always reused between different TASs. Of course, this would depend on what you need from the shop, but is that what TASers do if they have access to these inputs from other runs?
Yeah there's no reason not to. When someone has already done something, I just copy paste their inputs if they have already perfected it and give them credit. It's pretty common, it's not like you HAVE to do it, but it saves you time.

zfg is kinda at the very least endearing in his mannerisms, like yeah hes monotone but i feel a strong sense of wanting to protect him and his smile

That type of movement is fairly common in TASes; that is, being able to change the direction of sidehops/backflips. You can do it RTA by holding in a direction slightly while Z-targeting so that you are able to roll in a different direction than forwards, then by pressing A in the opposite or perpendicular directions to where Link is facing while doing the roll.
