In today's video, we are planning out a Wind Waker Randomizer to see how fast a Max Settings Wind Waker Randomizer could be completed, if the player had basically perfect luck.
Now yes, in theory you could re-roll millions of times to have a seed with every item at for example Windfall, but I felt this was the most likely case of happening, if someone were to win "The Randomizer Lottery" in real life. ENJOY!

This would make a really interesting marathon race. Generate a seed in advance and give the runners (and chat) the spoiler log immediately after the timer starts so they can't route beforehand.
Id like it more if they have 15 minutes before the start to route.

@@michael_betts I mean, it depends. If you want to challenge their ability to route on the fly and are willing to give them enough time to fumble, springing the log on them at the last second is a good idea. If you want them to more consistently beat their estimate and want to minimize down-time for the viewers where they would otherwise just be standing still and staring at another monitor, you can add some prep time to taste.
I say give them the amount of time that the opening cutscenes normally takes.
That would mirror the “spoiler log” races in other communities. It’s always fun, especially if there is one log reader and one runner.
Get you a partner who talks about you as passionately and as frequently as Linkus talks about getting storage

Now I’m curious what the absolute fastes time would be if you could choose where every item spawn could go
Thats called a plandomizer and the answer is very fast. It basically comes down to how fast you can get 10-15 checks + how fast you can do hyrule. Probably an hour or 2
@@WaluigiisthekingASmith I mean, Linkus got 1:24 with just decent placements and knowing the exact spawn points here. A rando that let you select the spawn points would probably be only 30-45 minutes or less even.
A seed where everything you need is at Windfall?

@@michaelwatkins4155 Windfall and Outset would probably take care of most the checks!
That Vaati skin is rad. I still kinda wish he'd get to be a villain in another game at some point but that might be hard to make work well since we basically know all of his backstory and stuff.

That's pretty much what it'd be like, but maybe to a lesser extent because you obviously need less items just to beat the game than to 100% it
@@elnkr2603 What I meant is how fast can you beat a seed with items at awful locations (eg : Wallet leads to 1st bottle, bottle leads to 1 of the pearls on 1 long side quests, Hookshot placed deep inside Tower of the gods, then all this leading to Light Arrows on Molgera fight). Would love to see a video where he reads spoiler log and do a how fast can you beat a randomizer like that
I also love how he straight up went ahead and rerolled a seed when he saw Din's Pearl on Withered Trees 😆

This would be a really cool race for you and gymnast to do. Both players get 2 hours to reroll and route a seed, and then both players play their respective seed to see who can finish faster.
That Sword that Link uses with the Vaati Skin is the Four Sword by the way, it is basically used to destroy Vaati usually 😅

i'm so used to all the mobile game and usual sponsers that the FFXIV one hit me like a ton of bricks. Anyone thinking about playing, make sure you make good use of the unlimited free trial, once you buy an expansion your account will always be in subscription mode after that. it really shouldn't be an issue since there's plenty of stuff to do before you complete the first expansion heavensward but just a little warning ^^
Really cool run! I appreciate that you came up with a brand new speedrunning trick to make it possible, and that TWW speedrunning tech has continued to advance all these years later.

1. I had no idea ffxiv was sponsoring youtube videos now (I've been playing it since there was less content than there is in the free trial; this is wild to me)
2. Vaati my beloved
Linkus, you can hit all 4 cannons on the watchtowers if you do them in clockwise or counterclockwise order. If you start at a 45 degree angle from the watchtower where you have 2 of the cannons in your view and start with the left one, you can target the ones at the back and the boomerang will be able to go all the way around the tower. The order would be front left, back left, back right, front right, or the reverse of that. I never use the bombs to beat the watchtowers because the boomerang is so much easier.
I thought this would be a plando where you hand place all the items into optimal locations, but this is neat too.
Vaati skin is dope. Hope you make more long form videos using it
I've done spoiler races of Hollow Knight and they're so much fun! You should think about giving something along those lines a shot. The routing is super interesting. It's pretty intense, but also great - unlike blind rando races, you can always point to particular mistakes and talk strategy at the end. Usually we did them with some time set aside purely for routing at the start.

Cool idea, I thought you were going to take it to the extreme though, basically designing the fastest route but you can pick and choose which items you get out of every chest on a 1:1 ofocourse (assuming max rando every item is fair game anywhere an item is obtainable)

This would be such a fun race idea! Your and another take a random seed (or someone pre finds one) then you and the partner are shown the seed with a set amount of time to read and route, then race! (The seed is the same for both people)

Hey linkus just watched the whole thing. Great video! One question though, where did you get the vaati model? Would love to use it
WW Randomiser app comes preinstalled with various models and skins to choose from, like, right as you generate a seed, but you can get them for a vanilla game as well - they can be found on Gamebanana, and even the HD patch by Hypathia comes with a few of these as a bonus. No idea whether you have to play on Dolphin only or is it available for Gamecube, but overall it shouldn't be hard to implement.

I was kinda lisening to this vidio while playing games and i never looked when he said a piece of cheese until the part in korok tree, and the hole time i thought a piece of cheese was acually a piece of cheese, i never even thought of the tri force shards.
You know, I’n pretty surprised that being able to destroy the cannons with the boomerang isn’t common knowledge, it’s how I’ve always dealt with the cannons since I was a kid.

About an hour and a half is a great answer and the best out of perfect 🥰 💞 luck. An hour and 24 mins is good since before it took you and Gym closer to 2 hours to beat it. So, about a half an hour difference compared to any% randomized luck.
