An updated M3P makes over 500bhp at the wheels, no gear changes, instant torque and perfect launch every time. I don't know why everyone expects a different outcome.
Because if you look at the power curve, it drops off fairly notably much past 60/80ish. Off the line - unbeatable. But yeh as the speed climbs, cars will reel it in and fly past. - speaking as I own a m3p lol
Golf Rs can launch really good, and if he was really 500whp I don’t see any way that Tesla is beating him. For instance, my b5s4 out launch’s the quickest m3p to 60 and I have to shift and actually launch the car with my clutch. And that’s without 2 step to build boost off the line. And that’s also without no lift shift. That golf r doesn’t need to worry about a clutch or shifting. Go look at draggy times of 500whp mk7 golf rs and you’ll see times better than m3p. For instance there are 470whp mk7 rs running 2.9. And it’s simple, put it in launch control, hold the brake, hit the gas, and go. It’s awd so it will produce the same results over and over. There’s not variables to worry about like stick shift cars.

@@garywebster6453The new M3P is supposed to be geared higher. It's also quicker off the line. But, where these electrics things really shine is on the street.
