We have a model y in our family. Charging is pretty annoying. Even with a home charger.
Only way you're charging up in 20 minutes is if you go to a supercharger. Tack on another 10 minutes to drive to and from, and you're looking at about an hour long process.

Back in the day 55-60mph was the speed on the highway and it took a minute to get to that. So 0-60 was a bit more realistic back than. Now it’s too slowZ

Lastly when these batteries do lose their ability to charge their contents can be recycled into new batteries. Research Redwood and other companies like them that are using the raw materials from older batteries to make new ones. This will one day lead to a closed supply chain eco system making mining for these minerals obsolete.
Then think about what they do when that mine lithium ion
and so is mining it. electric cars imo are way dirtier to this earth than regular combustion engines

Not really. If you can't buy the car for less than 100k over sticker, it really isn't for sale. How many Plaids are pumped a day? See how many on the streets? For sale online, every day, recently price cut. What other car manufacturers vehicles (sometimes)go up in value.
Thats 1.66 on a prepped track with 1ft rollout. So it’s not an actual 0-60 but a 6-60. On the street it would still get destroyed by a Tesla plaid.

There are many cars that are quicker, such as the Pininfarina Battista, an Italian electric supercar(surprisingly enough), and the related Rimac Nevera. Both have a 0-60 time of 1.8 seconds. These aren't dragsters or specialized cars, just regular hypercars.

Nobody seems to remember that all these 0-60 times are done on a prepped surface with brand new tires designed to give the best grip possible. I’m not saying that makes the 0-60 times null, but what I am saying is that if you put a Tesla model S up against, say a Viper ACR, or God help you, a Porsche GT3 on a track or on a non prepped surface, your not going to see the same crazy fast results. There’s a lot of factors that play into what makes a car truly fast that doesn’t have to do with 0-60.
Once again, I’m not saying that the insane 0-60 of the model s is null. Just that it doesn’t really make it the fastest every car if you throw in other variables.
The fact a gas car/transmission can even come close considering there's like instant torque on an electric acceleration is pretty impressive

Thats what Im thinking like even comparing a Buggati to a GT-R the price difference, maintenance, insurance taxes fuel economy and practicality is astronomically better for the GT-R.
Ive only found one reference of a gtr doing sub 3s stock.

The NISMO version is the one thats mid 2s. Either way the cars ridiculous for what most people want, very underrated car.

I passed 14 Tesla's on my 6 minute commute in a 22 year old 1.0L Micra. Tesla's are the slowest cars on the road.
