- With a stylish design and button that gives quick access to video simulations, Panasonic’s S9 is aimed squarely at influencers and creators. With the same full-frame 24-megapixel sensor as the S5 II, it’s nearly as powerful for video. However, there are a few things missing like an electronic viewfinder and mechanical shutter, and it’s a bit expensive at $1,500.

Our most advanced camera yet. We can't wait for you to have it in your hands and create wonders with it...
You clearly haven't seen test comparing autofocus to sony and canon, because it beats canon and is very much on par with Sony
What's with bots in comments
I hate it
Thotbots
Add an EVF to that left corner, keep the boxy rangefinder style, and I'm in. And Leica can do a version for more premium pocketbooks
Just buy a Sony A7C

This camera isn't dedicated to video it's dedicated to vlogging. When was the last time you saw clangers wearing headphones plugged into a camera. None
Vloggers also have to ensure their mic levels are ok before they start recording, and without a headphone jack theyre's no way to check beforehand.
Doesn't this make more sense as a Micro 4/3 camera. If the goal is small size and good video, it could still do that. You would also have more smaller lens options that fit this style of body.
It's beyond comprehension: a camera that cannot be a real camera due to lack of a mechanical shutter: Night photos with dark bars (irrecoverable) and distortions of moving subjects because the electronic shutter is mediocre! A video mode that overheats and limits sequences of max 15 minutes with unpredictable cuts! A crude copy of film simulations that has nothing to do with the Art of Fujifilm. Can we really make fun of consumers who are not experts and who will buy this Lumix S9 with their eyes closed? When will there be a version without diaphragm adjustment to align with smartphones? They should also remove the SD card connection and limit its use to the small internal memory like a ‘carbon pass’! No mic jack, obviously. We have pushed the limits of ridiculousness and the worst thing is that some people will buy it because there are different colors!
26mm f/8 ?? 😮😮😮
Yeah, it`s a toy camera. The F8 is a camera phone simulation to get that everything in focus look.
Off course it`s unusable in low light.
Think of it as a lens cap. It manual focus, single aperture, with no ability to add filters… like the camera itself, this is a joke.
Why do others all say it's 12-bit raw
Maybe with an Atomos
This camera is way too expensive for the fundamental faults it has. This should be 800 dollars with its lack of features. No headphone jack, hot shoe or EVF make it a joke at this price point. They could have made it the basically same size with these features if they want to charge that. This camera is a mistake in positioning.
I can handle a camera with no EVF, but I need a mechanical shutter and be able to use an External flash. And as another person commented, it should sell for $800, or even less.
Not sure this guy knows what this camera is for because 15min video is plenty for content creators
Agree, this video edit does not have a single “clip” that is over 10 seconds. I shoot professional video and in my HD out of 2000 .MOV files only 1 is longer than 15 min. 99% are under 5 min
It still needs to be mentioned, as it has one of the shortest continuous recording times of any recent mirrorless camera and the ZV-E1 doesn't have a similar limitation. And as I said, it's only a problem for event shooters and others who need to do long takes.
@stevetdent well that case they would be using a professional mirrorless like s5ii
no, just no.
Its a garbage camera, and that manual f/8 lens is also garbage
Wow just wow
