I actually found it in the basement of a theatre and they let me have it. But you can get them on eBay - just make sure it’s the 6ft version. New ones are about £1000 I think.

@@mrsoul4231 thank you again, I quite often use a 1964 J-12A Ampeg at home, it’s either that or a Fender Blues Jnr. I always leave on a NRG pedal and wind it back on the guitar till it’s clean, I think it’s a ‘purrer’- shop.nrgeffects.com/
thanks for learning this song and very pleased that you found it interesting. i had the bones of it but not the funky bit at the end. look forward to more Groundhogs. Since i started to learn guitar i look back on the live versions and how sparse they are compared to the studio recordings. i don't think Mcphee ever did justice to his songs live and i am saying this as a fan.

I also agree whole heartedly about live versions seldom doing the album versions justice, so far in fact that I stopped going to see the Groundhogs or Tony live for that simple reason but surely that observation was shared with him by a few close to him, if yes he obviously didnt share their view or just made a conscious decision to not change. Maybe the T.S. for Tough Shit had relevance. Either way RIP Tony McPhee loved so many of your songs and learned to play several of them now courtesy of this great channel
