Thank you, Paul! Appreciate you time stamping the video too. That saved me time.
Thanks, glad this was useful.
Great video as always mate!! Thank you!
Thanks, glad it was useful 👍
You Rock! You have taught me pipedrive in a day. Still more to learn, but I am good to start. Thank you
Thanks, glad I could help! 😀
great video as always!
Thanks 😀
Great video thank you for sharing
Thanks!
so so good!!! thank you
You're welcome 😀
Great video overview of a great new feature. We currently have an automation set up with (5) tasks we need to complete once a Deal is Won. Would Projects be a better method of ensuring that all steps for processing our orders get done? Thank you.
Thanks Thomas. Maybe but if it's only a few tasks, you could just create these as activities on the completed deal. Projects would be better if there's a lot more to do on the fulfilment side after the deal is won.
great video. what alternative would you recommend to not being able to set different statuses for a given task?
Thanks! There is a new grouping feature which you could use to assign status to a task.
Very helpful and exciting at the same time :) I'm working with a client on streamlining their overall tech stack. I'm at the point that I need to determine Pipedrive Project and/or Trello. I'm happy to set-up some calls with you but what info should I gather in advance to maximize our time together?
Hi Carolyn, would you be able to email me so we can discuss further: paul@paulminors.com
Hi Paul, Are you available to do an overview on pipedrive with myself and one of my colleagues? Looking to utilize this CRM in an upcoming endeavor. Thank You. George
Hi George, of course. You can book an intro call with me here: paulminors.com/consulting/pipedrive-consulting/
Thanks for posting this, however you didn't discuss the Group feature.
What about task Priority and Status?
How about per-task Labels?
Apologies. You can add Priority labels to activities in a project (but not tasks). I'm afraid there are no per task labels at this time.
hi, is there a way to tie activities/tasks to a go-live date instead of the start or end date? Or can the end date = the go live date, with additional activities after the end date? Or can the start date = the go live date with activities -1 day, -5 days based on start date?
Yes, you can make the go live date the start date and then base all tasks dates off of this.
I'm excited to discover Projects after almost subscribing to another app. I'm old. I need Ganttt timelines so that I van view projects in conjunction with agricultural phases (planting, harvesting, etc.). Any plans for this addition?
I'm not sure if this is going to be implemented sorry
Can you send tasks from projects to other platforms to remind people; teams, slack, etc?
Yes, you could do this using Pipedrive's workflow automation feature or Zapier
Great video! So what happen if i stop paying the Project AdOn monthly fee?
If you stop paying for the add on, you will no longer be able to use Projects but you can still use the main CRM.
@@minor-co Then what happens with my projects in the pipeline ?
They will remain but you won't have access to them.
@@minor-co Got it. Thank you 🙏🏾
Hi Paul, I am using an automation to create a project from a template when I create a certain activity. The issue I am having through is that the activities in the project are linked to the organisation, and do not show up in the linked deal timeline/to-do-list. It's almost like they are linked the project - when I change them so they are linked to the deal manually, they disappear from the project to-do-list and show up in the deal timeline. Any idea how to fix this?
Essentially, I want it so that if I create an activity in my project, it shows up on the deal page. At the moment it's showing up on the project page and organisation page, but not the deal page.
I'm afraid this is the expected behaviour. If you add an activity in the project, it shows up in the project. If you want an activity to show on the deal, create it in the deal instead. An activity can only be linked to one or the other but not both
whats the benefit of making a 'deal' a 'project'? With a deal you can still add task automations based on the pipeline stage so I don't get what the point is?
A project is used after the sale. So once you've got a contact signed or you've been paid, you'll mark the deal as won. Then you can use a project to manage the operational side of your business i.e. delivering your product or service.
@@minor-co thanks for replying 👍 I don’t get why you’d pay more for this ‘feature’ though for the reasons I mentioned above. Eg just mark ‘deal’ as won > automatic generation of tasks (like with projects) Am I missing something?
True. But some people like to manage the project on a separate project board and progress the project through phases. It's also a different UX and you can create big checklists of tasks to complete.
Hi Paul, my boss asking me to create a classification for 2 groups (AWS and Microsoft). May I ask for your help.Because I have to send two different email on both AWS and Microsoft
Looking forward for your response. Thank you!
Sorry, I'm not entirely sure what you're asking. Can you please reach out to me here so we can chat: paulminors.com/contact/
