Now when I have the controller for a very long time, I can tell that this video is more like a dream video. It's video of raw non-implemented ideas. In practice, there is a separate joystick for skateboarding. You can't easily control content when someone is sitting nearby (because kinekt is confused on who's controlling). You can't easily control when crossed legs or made an accident move with other arm - so you can't relax at all with this controller. And more nuances making you tense while gaming.
But it was a really facinating journey with such great titles as kung fu high impact, many games about dance and star wars (for children there was a harry potter kinekt - to mention). It was indeed promising and good for being fit and sharing exercises with friends (play together, share on web and chat). I'm very sad that this promising game activities are abandoned now. Only research (activities by other companies) without any interesting public games exist (or they are hard to find). Kinekt was not only the controller. It was a platform for developers to introduce really interesting new stuff, new ways to interact in gaming. Hope sometime it will be back on market!

I remember watching the trailer when it came out and was absolutely amazed, but honestly general question, how accurate was Kinect when it came out as gameplay, graphics, responsiveness etc to the trailer?
Not accurate at all lol. The video chat and scolling by swiping your hand back and forth are really some of the only things that made it into the final product and worked somewhat well. Still very hard to use though.
Heh, no doubt they made a sensor instead of a motion controller that works like the Wii or the Playstation Move

It was a laggy unresponsive mess but it did have good technology I think they used it in hospitals and they had one in the iss. Skype worked well on it, it used to trsck your fscev and zoom in on you far away
