That's exactly what I use mine for. I broke my legs in 2013 due to a car accident. It took years of operations and and frames being attached to my leg and for years I couldn't get about without crutches. I've always had an Xbox 360 , but never had any real interest in the Kinect. Until I was able to weight bare and exercise. When exercising with Physical therapy I felt like I was progressing to slowly and wanted extra help. So because I'm always gaming anyway. I thought the Kinect would be a good idea. Because it was old and no one seemed to like it by the time I wanted one. It was pretty cheap to buy. I bought a few games and Nike Plus Kinect Training ............. I've never been an exercise person at all lol But The Kinect gives me the motivation to exercise and I seriously doubt I'd be walking about like I do today without the Help of the Kinect. It might not be the best thing for gaming but it's the best thing for a Gamer that has to learn to walk again. I love the Kinect .............. I feel like the only 1 sometimes. ........... If you set the Kinect up correctly and learn to play the games properly they're actually alright games considering the Technology.
I use Kinect for motion capture for film making. Use about 8 of them simultaneously. A mocap studio costs thousand$ per day to rent, the Kinect V1 and V2 can be purchased second hand for $20 bucks each and they work better than Hollywood studio-level Depth sensors.

It's horrible it's grainy it's not clear it's like something from 1992 I twitch and used to use the Kinect camera and it isn't a great camera for streaming its just not a great camera at all that's why they are so damn cheap and yet they're better than anything in Hollywood? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 please google the specs of the camera and equipment Hollywood uses and then look at the specs of the Kinect camera

When Microsoft started selling the Kinect separately, even lesser people bought them. A final nail to the coffin for Kinect. Long live Kinect!
I worked for Kinect as a demo girl during the release and for a year after. I think the tech worked well enough at the time that if there had been lots of good games it would have been a massive hit. People who came into my store had the most fun just becoming an Xbox avatar and making it do dumb things. It failed for three reasons. 1: Lack of games, Kinect Sports sold separately. 2: Not taught how to setup and use it right, lots of parents put it on a table and it wasn’t reading kids heads or feet, got frustrated when it didn’t work. Needs to be calibrated to see your whole body in the top right hand shadow box or it doesn’t work. 3: Need to shove the coffee table out of the way to play EVERY TIME. Tired after work/school? Forget it.
Lmao if u tired after school/work why would you choose to play on Kinect ? And if you have enough energy to play Kinect how the fuck is possible that you don't have energy to move your table?
Not gonna lie, Dance Central 1 and 2 were my favourite games for the 360 Kinect back then. I now have Just Dance 2018 for my Switch and it doesn't feel the same anymore, Dance Central was so spot on with the Kinect for it's time I loved it and was super impressed by the technology at the time!
Dance Central was a hit in my household and even saw us buying extra tracks to be able to take turns dancing with the kids. It is the reason why I'm disappointed that the Xbox Series X doesn't even detect it when connected because it would be good to fire Dance Central back up.
When it was announced I remember everyone saying it always had to be on and it would record you and/or personal info. People thought it was an FBI spy camera. Lmao.
I'd have to agree. I just got too lazy to clear out my living room and start jumping around. And it wasn't as "group friendly" as all of the advertisement would make it seem.
It has fantastic potential as a gesture controller for music applications also. Although its nigh on impossible to get OS X drivers for it to work in Max/MSP since Apple bought the parent company :-(
Archontasius The one that came with the original Xbox one wasn’t that bad, it was really annoying to hear someone using it as a mic in game though. You can hear every little thing going on in their house lol.
I’m in shock for this. I don’t consider myself a hardcore gamer, but I enjoyed every single moment I spent playing with my friends’ Kinects, I wanted to buy my own so badly. I’m a very physical person (like a lot of people) and this was just wonderful! No pushing complicated sequences of buttons to make combos in a fighting game, only your body! That was phenomenal! And to this day I still believe it’s a really cool technology, with a lot of more uses beyond gaming and healthcare. The fact that they completely stop production makes no sense to me, makes me think that gamers just want more of the same: same titles with the same button-pushing experiences tied to a screen. On a side note, think about this product in 2020: it would be an awesome gaming experiences for people during quarantine, helping you stay fit while playing and doing something fun, all without going out. Man, Kinect got so much undeserved hate, maybe it was a product ahead of its time. In the mean time, I hope it returns, somehow, eventually, to our homes. 😃

Having owned both version of Kinects day 1, I have to say we really enjoyed using it. Kinect v1 lasted the longest til the day we sold our 360 because of Kinect adventures and Just Dance. Young cousins and nephews enjoys the hell out of it each time they visit. Kinect v2 didn't last that long in our entertainment setup due to lack of game supports and maybe because we're older now and are no longer fond of getting sweaty. I would like to point out though that the Kinect isn't simply a "webcam". As said in the video, it is a depth sensor that relies on hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of infrared beams that are read by an IR camera. It also has an RGB camera or the "webcam" sensor is what overlays color to it to generate a 3D view when needed (more on custom software when used in a PC). So calling the Kinect as just a "webcam" is misleading and wrong since that is just 1/3rd of its sensors/features and it's the least used one at that.
You managed to miss out on the promises Microsoft made to disabled gamers with Kinect. Neither system btw could map your skeleton unless you were stood up and gesture control required both hands in the air at once.
i literally dont get why people hate it so much...i have so many memories playing with it and i still do sometimes and after like 10 years it works perfectly on fast moving sports.
Spit Fire i honestly dont know what your argument was supposed to be bud. was it supposed to insult the nintendo community or were you praising nintendo??
It had to do with how the camera read depth, as far as i know. The Kinect had trouble with anything dark colored and if it was shiny/reflective, it was even worse. It also had problems with large chested women (for different reasons). But it's not like they didn't actively try to fix those kinds of problems. I was a game QA on the Kinect, and part of the job was bringing in bits of your wardrobe that might screw up the Kinect.
I'm sad to see the never took off, I really enjoyed the dance central series as well as the Steel Battalion game that was released that had lukewarm reception which I personally thought was actually pretty fun to play
@@chrizzrodriguez493 The only Kinect Game i will forever play will be SONIC FREE RIDERS(I DON'T care what anyone says about that because those people are lazy and i love that game and Super Sonic).
I *liked* Kinect Adventures. I was disappointed when they discontinued the Kinect. Forcing it on people with the Xbone was clearly a mistake. That was obvious at the time. I think what really killed the Kinect, though, was the cost. A hundred bucks plus the cost of the games that required the Kinect put it out of reach of too many people. Lack of ubiquity led to developers not wanting to make games for the platform, so those who did have it ripped through the content that was out there very quickly. This kind of thing happens all the time with new, expensive platforms.
I liked Kinect for Dance Central, those games were a real workout. You couldn't just wave your arms around, you really had to work hard to copy the moves, it had a great music selection, and it was a fun party game. Kinect also had a lot of applications in VR/AR software. IMO Microsoft should've introduced it alongside a wireless VR headset
Tariq Williams Even in VR, controllers are overall better since you have something physical in your hands. I'd imagine that hand tracking has its uses in VR, but physical controller(s) still allow for a broader range of experiences.
Aimela tbh I think vr and a Kinect like product would be pretty bitching, and allow someone to use a controller if they want, but give it even better tracking then the Xbox one Kinect had. I think the brain would fill in the blanks a little for tactical feedback. I mean try looking down in br or getting punched in it, when that first happens it got me at least.
I love Kinect!!! Mind you, I only use it for fitness ‘games’ like Your Shape and Nike+ Training. I can’t stand doing workouts using our Wii controllers as it’s inaccurate and you can easily cheat by shaking the controllers. I really hope they bring out a great Kinect game to help revive this great technology.
I own both versions of Kinect. We still use the from time to time. Lmaooooo. The Dance Central series is a family favorite. Mainly use it today for voice commands.
For me it was he fact that they shoved it down our throats when the X1 launched. It's actually why a I bought a PlayStation, I didn't want to spend a hundred dollars for a peripheral that I'd never use.
Even worse than that, I'd rather not have a camera that's on all the time in the middle of my living room. What the hell is this? Big brother bullshit?
It was pretty good at launch, it was just disappointing when it lost support. Kinect Sports 1 and 2, and Dance Central games were great, but there's nothing else there. It's good hardware, but just wasn't backed by anything but its marketing. The Xbox one kinect was its lowest point. There's literally nothing there and it took out about $80 that could've been used on a more powerful APU in the system.
I know, there were some games I really enjoyed. Lemmings and The Gun Stringer were one of those. But as you said it lost support, microsoft and most developers didn't want to follow that trend and the ones that did were not capable of making good games. The "on rails fable", start wars kinect had some minigames not working. But fortunately it was used to push other projects around in the world. Oculus rift was one of those (and other subsequent VR devices), since it needed the kinect in the early versions. Other more compex VR projects done by institutions as well.
The kinect sold insanely well as the worlds first commercial 3d camera too. Millions of these things were sold to people who probably never played a video game in their life and they built something with it
You know, when my older bro Nate bought the Kinect, it was actually fun as yourself moving the game. But I find the Kinect underrated, it could've sold better than that
I love the Kinect my kids love the Kinect! The only reason it didn't make any more money... They stopped making games for it! honestly they never really made many to begin with.
Well, to be fair, as a computer scientist, I can say that Kinect can be a pretty good bundled-up device for different kinds of scientific and practical applications that either require a depth-cam (by the way, it works slightly differently than what you've described) or the excellent skeleton-tracking capabilities that it has. But for gaming it really is shit, I agree.
xøñχt oculus rift was possible due to the mere existence of kinect, without kinect the project may have not be possible or the developers may have not completed the idea.
True, I was invited to the media lab in MIT a couple of months ago and they used kinect for various applications that needed a 3D camera and were highly functional, but for gaming nah.
I'm not a native speaker, but even I know the difference between "that", "than" and "then". It was merely a typo that my spell-check has missed, since technically it's not a grammatical error.
Exactly, kinect had much more potential in industry than in games. It was the cheapest way to simply 3D scan human body or anything and even some simulation softwares supported it (I think Delmia e.g.). But when MS stopped supporting it, everyone else did too.
I'm pretty sure the Kinect has an actual depth sensor as well (in addition to the two cameras). I've been playing with its dev kit. Besides, the reason, why today's motion/facial feature tracking technology is *so* much better is that it uses machine learning (AI) which was way less advanced back then.
The kinect was the reason that made me go exclusively to PS4 in the beginning. I was angry because they were shoving the kinect down our throat for $100 extra, plus they were trying to implement always on DRM. I'm happy Microsoft saw the error of their ways and did a 180.
I almost jumped ship completely as well until they announced the policy changes. Still, even if I decided to completely abandon the Xbox One I wouldn't have bought a PS4 either. There aren't to many games that modern PlayStation consoles have that interest me. In fact, I can say the same for the whole generation itself and not just PS4. Xbox, Sony and Nintendo don't have much to offer me at the moment (personal preference of course), this gaming generation has been one of the most boring I've seen in recent memory. I did eventually get an Xbox One way after it came out, but I still love to play my PS2 and my Xbox 360 all the time. Long live the older consoles! :)
beware the court of owls that comments all the time they comment on gameranx and comment on kenict speak not a wispered word of them or theyll send a dislike for your head
Best Games for Kinect: 1. Dance Central 2. Dance Central 2 3. Dance Central 3 4. Dance Central Spotlight 5. Michael Jackson Experience (minus the singing)
I still have mine from 2011. Was biting dust in a box when I moved 5 yes ago. Pulled it out last year when the lock down started and I am having fun. Just dance 3 and Dance Central 2 were really well made titles. My 5yr old daughter loves the kinect adventures, Kinect sports 1 and 2. Infact I bought 3 fitness titles (fitness evolved, zumba rush, Ufc ultimate trainer) from ebay and am waiting to use it. I think the niche for the product was dance, exercise and fitness games. So much for dissing the kinect, but it is still revolutionary and my biggest disappointment is that MS discontinued it.
What killed it? Laziness and paranoia. (albeit, paranoia was justified) Also, the full depth of possibilities was not explored because.. developers lacked imagination and/or resources.
Jumli I did & it Kinect adventures weren’t that fun. I basically went from PS2 to PS2 Slim to Xbox 360 to PSP to PS2 Slim to Xbox 360 Kinect to PS2 Slim to mid-range gaming PC & then lastly to PS4 Pro.
No, I loved it. Kinect Adventures was great with a friend, and there was one fantastic Star Wars game for it. I remember some of my favorite console gaming experiences being with the Kinect.
One thing I love about Nintendo is their games always support motion controls for aiming weapons. Actually really wish the PS5/PS4 had that as an option more often.
lack of real games, and forcing replacement with the xbox one. Tracking worked far better than the wii. That said, its function relied on the game's individual programming. You should have actually tried more of the kinect games (like dance central) before you try to explain why it failed. Not to mention the tech was adopted in many non-gaming applications.
Interesting today that the Kinect is still working, but a lot of the Wii and Play Station hand held and body wear sensors are burnt out and broken. Many were sent crashing into their televisions.
BigDogDaddyD I still have a launch issue Wii with one original wiimote. Still works perfect though I use it mostly as a GameCube now, since it’s backwards compatible.
I honestly think the Kinect is what lost Xbox this generation of console wars. Both being equal, I'd rather pay 100 dollars less for the ps4. And the PS4 was actually more powerful AND cheaper. That gave ps4 a huge head start, and the momentum just never turned back.
sushi otaku to be completely honest when I saw that for the first time as a kid, I thought it was some kind of Chinese Wiimote, then I learned it was a PS3 controller
In like 1996 I got an Activator for my Genesis and couldn't wait to get it home. It took me 20 minutes to realize it was going to be a huge disappointment. The kinect was equally as disappointing 15 years later.

Man I used to grind kinect adventures
Same yo
i got to play it in school for p.e we took turns
but we had to earn it
OBVIOUSLY people (like me) like it and still have one.
Edit: woah. Why are people still commenting on this. I made this 2 years ago

I love kinect. Hate the idea Microsoft is not making games for it anymore :(
@@chrizzrodriguez493 The only Kinect Game i will forever play will be SONIC FREE RIDERS(I DON'T care what anyone says about that because those people are lazy and i love that game and Super Sonic).
I have the Kinect, but i only have Just dance 4 and Fruit ninja
I *liked* Kinect Adventures. I was disappointed when they discontinued the Kinect. Forcing it on people with the Xbone was clearly a mistake. That was obvious at the time. I think what really killed the Kinect, though, was the cost. A hundred bucks plus the cost of the games that required the Kinect put it out of reach of too many people. Lack of ubiquity led to developers not wanting to make games for the platform, so those who did have it ripped through the content that was out there very quickly. This kind of thing happens all the time with new, expensive platforms.
sonic. fucking. riders.
U forgot Free
Angry joe review will go down in history when referring back to this game
Best game
Jon Idoncair yep😂😂😂
I loved that game
The Kinect was born dead.
Well if its born then it has to be alive at some point...
Well not exactly
It's called still born.
@@phillgurganious3532 It should be called born still.
The kinect killed the kinect
I liked Kinect for Dance Central, those games were a real workout. You couldn't just wave your arms around, you really had to work hard to copy the moves, it had a great music selection, and it was a fun party game. Kinect also had a lot of applications in VR/AR software. IMO Microsoft should've introduced it alongside a wireless VR headset
The Kinect had so much potential, yet it didn't reach that full potential
It being shit?
Nothing replaces a controller. Simple, to the point.
Tariq Williams Even in VR, controllers are overall better since you have something physical in your hands. I'd imagine that hand tracking has its uses in VR, but physical controller(s) still allow for a broader range of experiences.
VR is trash if you have a sick tv and a couldn't be fucked attitude! XD
Paul arcade stick for fighting games
Keyboard and mouse
I love Kinect!!! Mind you, I only use it for fitness ‘games’ like Your Shape and Nike+ Training. I can’t stand doing workouts using our Wii controllers as it’s inaccurate and you can easily cheat by shaking the controllers. I really hope they bring out a great Kinect game to help revive this great technology.
Kinect Didn't Just Die
It Was Murdered.
John Smith things that are murde tend to die no?
Jared Nelson It didn't JUST die.

TL:DR Don't try to be a smart ass, you're not good at it.
I really liked to kinect tbh
I own both versions of Kinect. We still use the from time to time. Lmaooooo. The Dance Central series is a family favorite. Mainly use it today for voice commands.
For me it was he fact that they shoved it down our throats when the X1 launched. It's actually why a I bought a PlayStation, I didn't want to spend a hundred dollars for a peripheral that I'd never use.
Our Lord and Savior Edupes white xbone didnt have a Kinect. I got the white one just cuz hey it looked good, and never bothered with kinect.
There was no white Xbox One at launch. For months, Microsoft refused to make a Kinectless-bundle, until the sales stagnated.
Swear I bought my x1 sunset overdrive edition at launch without a kinect??
Atsuko Kagari.
Even worse than that, I'd rather not have a camera that's on all the time in the middle of my living room. What the hell is this? Big brother bullshit?
Kinect did not have killer apps and some of the games were sold unfinished. Microsoft killed it.
New kinect return just has announced
Ratón Chamán only unfinished Kinect game was Sonic Free Riders... what a piece of shit.
The kinect sold insanely well as the worlds first commercial 3d camera too. Millions of these things were sold to people who probably never played a video game in their life and they built something with it
You know, when my older bro Nate bought the Kinect, it was actually fun as yourself moving the game. But I find the Kinect underrated, it could've sold better than that
Time.....
The answer is time
Your sales figures on the Wii are incorrect. The Wii has sold about 101 million units. Your 157 million sold figure you put up is for the PS2.
Just watched the video and was looking to see if someone else noticed
He says that Wii beat the others by about 20 million units so it was just a typo.
The ps2 sold 155 million.
How can you kill something if it never lived??
Thomas Nicholls 19 mil sold for 360.....
Thomas Nicholls its too complex for you ...
nh k A bundle
Jumli makes no difference people decided to buy the bundle they could have just bought a normal 360
Who else actually used this on the 360?
Me and i got 2
Me
Your Shape Fitness Evolved on 360 ^^
My entire family still does! Love it!
Oh fuck man the 360 was the shit. I had so much fun during my childhood.
I wish they did better with it cause in my mind it would be great for VR
There is software that utilizes both camera versions for VR body tracking, just google Kinect VR.
Tritty Burd yea but I'm talking about them doing it
It's a lot better with the XBONE Kinect with the newer 60 Hz camera, better architecture, and software.
Pink Flash u way to late vr been using kinect 4 years now
Yeah... in YOUR mind maybe but not everyone elses.
"I am the controller!!"

I love the Kinect my kids love the Kinect!
The only reason it didn't make any more money...
They stopped making games for it! honestly they never really made many to begin with.
--Forza Horizon 2, NBA 2K18, s'more-- Yeah, you're right.
Wii Sports not that big a deal???? More like one of the biggest deals in the history of gaming.
Smartest pack in game since super Mario world on SNES.
YES!!! THAT'S!!! I LOVED WII SPORTS!
It was big but not that big
Pong, The Original Super Mario Bros, Super Mario 64, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time were technically the most important games released.
Grammar nazi doesn't equal scientist.
Microsoft missed a golden opportunity with the X. Should of called it the Xbox One-Eighty
We're all mad at the kinect because we all had that one friend who would run in front of you to mess up the kinect and make u lose
IT SUCKED
The Court of Owls Thanks you saved me 8 minutes and 49 seconds
The Court of Owls Obvious
I'm surprised they didn't mention the microphone on the Kinect. It was also shit and sounds like a tin can.
beware the court of owls that comments all the time they comment on gameranx and comment on kenict speak not a wispered word of them or theyll send a dislike for your head
Treetheoryexbl642 No lie was found in that sentence.
Best Games for Kinect:
1. Dance Central
2. Dance Central 2
3. Dance Central 3
4. Dance Central Spotlight
5. Michael Jackson Experience (minus the singing)
Exactly michael jackson experience was amazing
I still use the kinect, I still have X360
Almost everyday playing it
me too. What stops me from going for the latest xbo:, no kinect, game sizes are massive, my tv is 1080p only.
@@RobertPage1968 get xbox one s then.
Dai I ended up getting an S just recently, love it. Use both the 360 and the S 😘

Nick Camacho The playstation camera.

Wii sold 101 million units.
Those are PS2 numbers you are showing.
Hi elgran
Que- ¿Qué haces aquí?
there was your first mistake, associating your project with Jimmy Fallon
ADrew judging from his reaction, he's more excited on ps4
Worked for Bf3
I like the fact that ghost hunters use the Kinect to see ghosts
I have a kinect, and the only thing i use it for was Just Dance.
itself. the kinect was killed by itself
What killed it? Laziness and paranoia.
(albeit, paranoia was justified)
Also, the full depth of possibilities was not explored because.. developers lacked imagination and/or resources.
The paranoia was never justified...
oogachaka agreed, they want video games to be sedentary like just sitting all hour and using just your hands
The first kinect was pretty amazing honestly i had a lot of fun playing it
The xbox one kinect was the only bad one tbh. I just didn't like how little support the original Kinect got.
But the first Kinect broke easily
Not sure what you were doing, but mine survived being in a dryer and falling from 7 ft. Were you smashing it with a hammer?
Kinect Fitness was actually really good.
If we didn’t have the Kinect then we wouldn’t have had Paranormal Activity 3 tho :(
vladroxyoursox Lol
Am I the only person who liked the Kinect?
No your not
Nope
No
I thought it was ok.
Im with ya
I never owned a kinect.
Didn't miss alot.
The Kinect? What's that?
Broke out the old Kinect for a good quarantine activity for my kids and they love it !
Can I use my Xbox one Kinect on my Xbox 360 ?
No...
But You Can Buy Xbox 360 Kinect it only cost 10$ dollars!(on ebay)
okay, but let’s not sit here and act like Dance Central didn’t make the kinect worth it’s value!
Am I the only one that actually loved the Kinect (I feel I have to add on I was 10) but still I really remember having good times.
Conor Mcgregor ye i had fun with the Kinect but only for like a week...
Yeah only you bro.
I had fun I was like 8
I liked the 2.0... Just for the facial recognition and the voice commands.
No, I loved it. Kinect Adventures was great with a friend, and there was one fantastic Star Wars game for it. I remember some of my favorite console gaming experiences being with the Kinect.
The Kinect was never alive 😂
+BryceLemieux So does that mean that Microsoft killed it during development and released the system as a zombie?
tim5fl basically 😂
tim5fl fuckin knew Microsoft was making zombies
+ZacWard That's pretty what Rare became after the release of Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts.
One thing I love about Nintendo is their games always support motion controls for aiming weapons. Actually really wish the PS5/PS4 had that as an option more often.
You had the amount of Wii units sold wrong by 50+ million
Red Steel 2 for the Wii will always be the greatest motion control game ever
ahhhhhh so good. :)
Yes
Michael Bush Idk man, go vacation was a pretty damn good wii game
I agree...the best
Killzone 3 and Resident Evil 5 using the PS Move is as good as motion controls ever got.
lack of real games, and forcing replacement with the xbox one. Tracking worked far better than the wii. That said, its function relied on the game's individual programming. You should have actually tried more of the kinect games (like dance central) before you try to explain why it failed. Not to mention the tech was adopted in many non-gaming applications.
i love dance central
@Zero Alpha Work great and seem fine to me plus im a gamer and not a Fanboy.
Next time watch the whole video...those dance games could have worked with a standard web cam and didn't use the full capabilities of the Kenect.
@Zero Alpha I know I'm late but I don't think you know what best exclusives out there, that would be from Nintendo
I HAVE KINECT FOR XBOX 360 . WORKING PERFECT
Same
Same
Same.. no problemo
I have PS2 Eyetoy it works even better more than perfect
Same of course
Also, the size of your TV matters. You need space to move, and a large TV in order to be able to see what happens.
That's what straps are for. They were only launched because their users were not using the straps, right?
That, and angry temper tantrums.@@WanganHedgehog
I honestly think the Kinect is what lost Xbox this generation of console wars.
Both being equal, I'd rather pay 100 dollars less for the ps4.
And the PS4 was actually more powerful AND cheaper.
That gave ps4 a huge head start, and the momentum just never turned back.
Because the majority of Xbox users at the time of release were as lazy as the NoScope kid...
ANASPAN but can they do a 360
Because it's lazy to come home from a day of work, and NOT want to flail your arms about stupidly.
Atsuko Kagari ye at least the wii made sense in most games where you simply move ur wrists if at all...
True
Three personal games for the Kinect.
1. Dance Central
2. Yoostar
3. Kinect Adventures
I liked Dance central more than just dance on the Kinect
matthewwood66 I was just about to comment this ^^
the kinect killed it, and the wii, and the games, the wii, the motion controls, did i mention the NINTENDO WII
oh dam i remember that thing, there was a magic book game that came with it i think
sushi otaku to be completely honest when I saw that for the first time as a kid, I thought it was some kind of Chinese Wiimote, then I learned it was a PS3 controller
sushi otaku that one failed arguably just as hard, but Sony let go of it sooner and didn't push It so hard in marketing so everyone forgot it
id see a creepy version of my room and me EVERYTIME i switched on my xbox 360
In like 1996 I got an Activator for my Genesis and couldn't wait to get it home.
It took me 20 minutes to realize it was going to be a huge disappointment.
The kinect was equally as disappointing 15 years later.
