I just found your channel and its wonderful! Little things and big things as well, professional tips and things to make my project go smoothly as possible and often suggestions to get me out of a mistake ive made with out ripping everything off and burning it,then starting from the beginning. I really love doing upholstery and i wou.d rather it not look like the cat got hold of a bunch of fabric and a staple gun... so thank you!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤
Very informative video, Random question/observation, I'm surprised your not using the metric system, just based off your accent. Are you living in the US?
Thank you so much, that’s really kind! Do you mean how to upholster in a patterned fabric or how to make a cutting pattern for those pieces of furniture?
My sofa is tufted on the back. It’s a pieced and sewn back. The seams are vertical lining up and concealed where the buttons are. The pleats across the very top of the sofa are folded inward to the seam. I’d like to replicate this process using the original fabric as the template. Does this sound normal? A good method? An overly complicated method when there’s a better way?
Hi Christian! It’s just another technique for buttoning - some people button as they go and some staple and button after. But marking out your diamond lines is most important in my opinion so the fabric doesn’t twist and go off line as you go 👍🏻
Hi there! I have a few videos showing how to measure and decide on your diamond size. Have a look through my older videos, I hope you find them helpful 😊👍🏻
It’s a skill watching work in Imperial measurements. ❤
Thankyou ✂️👍🧵🪡⛏️👍😊

Why did you staple the fabric in the holes before adding buttons and not just sow in buttons straight away?

I have a question how do I start with making the diamonds ? How to know how big ? Please can you help ?
