I'm about to make a large tufted headboard. I've watched practically every tutorial out there and still felt hesitant. This video is far the best. You've given me confidence to start the project. Thank you so much ❤

Thanks Jasmine! And thank you for watching 😊🙏🏻
Best tufted headboard tutorial ever. Now I'm extremely confident in making one for myself. Thank you
Hi Bella! Thank you so much for watching and for your comment, it’s really appreciated. Glad you found the tutorial helpful - good luck with your project!!
Great tip on putting the drill in reverse! I tried doing this once and was super scared out of my mind when the foam came in contact with the drill. I watched a ton of tutorials and no one ever gave that tip. You're awesome....thanks for shedding a lot of light on this process 👍🇹🇹
Ahh I’m so glad you found the video helpful! 😊 thank you so much for watching and for your comment, it’s really appreciated 🙏🏻😊

Hi Ralph, that’s really kind - thank you so much! 😊👍🏻
Excellent tutorial, I am just about to make a headboard so its good to follow a professional doing it.
Hi Amanda! Thank you so much for watching 😊 good luck with your headboard, let me know how you get on 👍🏻
Also beautiful workmanship.
You’re too kind, thank you so much 😊
Your “gardening shears” are actually metal shears where I come from and growing up we referred to them on the farm as “tin snips”. I just recently discovered your channel and I am enjoying your videos. Nice to get info on upholstery techniques from the UK.
Hi Leann! Yes I’ve also heard them called tin snips - probably a more accurate name for them! Thank you for watching and glad you enjoy them 😊
Thank you very much! This was really well done! So straight forward and thorough and quiet, no distractions, and easy to follow! Thank you again!
Hi Michele! Thank you so much for watching and I’m glad you found the video helpful 😊

RUclips has changed the way they monetize my content. Monetizing my videos allows me to invest back into the channel with new equipment to improve the viewing quality so a small gesture from you goes a huge way for me :-) Many thanks for your support!

@@faceliftinteriors of course!! I’ve learned so much from you!! I actually got enough courage to reupholster a vintage tuxedo settee after watching your videos! I’ve stripped it but now kinda freaking out lol!
Ahh I’m so glad to hear it!! You can do it!! Let me know if you have any questions along the way 😊👍🏻
So lovely 🌹 but looks a little complicated. One ????? My bedhead has a carving stuck on. Can I take it off put in middle of upholstery
Impressive very nice
Thank you for your kind comment. And thanks for watching 😊
Thank you so much for your information for demonstrating above and beyond what others are not willing to do they just put it on fast forward and you figure it out you know what I'm saying but you went the extra step and because you did that I'm going to subscribe to your channel I'll watch the other ones but I'm not going to subscribe to them unfortunately thank you again.
Thank you Patricia, I’m glad you found the video helpful 😊
Thank you so much, so excited to do this project. May I ask what type.of fabric you use?
This is called Plush Velvet by Warwick Fabrics. 👍🙏📐📎✂️⛏️🧵
Very nice work..... what size buttons are those?
Thanks for watching and for the kind comment 😊
They are 19mm buttons 👍
@@faceliftinteriors thanks for your video! I have 25mm buttons, is a 30mm holesaw bit still ok?
@@alanahamson2928 Hi Alana, thanks for watching! It should be fine. I usually use 19mm buttons and a 32mm drill bit but as long as the holes you make in the foam are larger than the buttons, it should be fine!
Amazing!!!
Thanks so much!! 😊👍🏻
Thanks for a great tutorial. I have looked everywhere on the internet to get the drill bit that you use but can't find one without the wood drill in the middle (presumably used for a pilot hole in wood). Can you point me in the right direction please. Thanks
Hi Alison! Try searching for a ‘holesaw’ drill bit. The one I use is a 32mm drill bit. I hope that helps 😊👍🏻
@@faceliftinteriors Thanks for the info, I will have another look. 😊👍🏻
Amazing tufting but of boy those legs deserve a better look! Step 1 - send off all the stain mix sealer with a lil bit of white wash aaaaand taa-daam, finish as a beautiful light wooden legs!
Thanks! The legs aren't on show so no worries. 👍🧵📎📐✂️⛏️
💕👌wow 🥰😍
Thank you Eva 🙏🏻😊
i’m 10 months late to this video but holy crap that was helpful! Your work is amazing. Only 5k subs? Man that’s not fair to you😭
Hi Tish!! Thank you so much for watching! Your support means a lot 😊🙏🏻 Subs are slowly creeping up but it’s a long process! 🤣
Good job could you tell me for king size headboard 200cm x 80cm how many fabric do I need?
the velvet fabric width is 150cm
Do you know how many meters fabric do I need to make king size tufted headboard?
Many thanks
Hi! Thanks for watching 😊 it depends how many diamonds you want to do as obviously the more diamonds, the more fabric you’d need but I’d say about 3 meters should cover a king sized headboard. Hope that helps 😊👍🏻
Can you please let me know what type of fabric you used
Yes of course it's by Warwick Fabrics and the range is 'Plush Velvets' and the colour is 'Petal'. Thanks for watching 👍
great video, as others have said, watched many but you get on with it, no distractions of playing silly games, good vid. I have a question, what depth foam have you used? And, How much does the diamond on the fabric grow compared to the diamond on the foam based on foam depth, so if you had deeper foam would it still be that inch and quarter or more? is there some formula? thanks
Hi Darren, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Thank you for watching mate, it’s really appreciated! I used 2 inch foam on this one, which is what I generally use for deep buttoned headboards. As all fabrics are different and some stretch and some don’t, the best thing to do is take a spare piece of the fabric you’re using and staple down into the holes and create a diamond with pleats. Then take that off and measure how big your diamond is and apply that to the rest of them. Then you shouldn’t go wrong. I hope this makes sense!
@@faceliftinteriors perfect mate, thanks for the reply, will give that a try :-) thanks
@@visumgroup no worries mate - hope it works for you 👍🏻
