I have NBT system currently with the 8.8 display. I’m thinking of getting and NBT EVO headunit and then do some coding to make my revised setup apple CarPlay. Would suggest this being a way to go please? Thanks
What car do you currently have and what revised setup are you looking to implement?
Does your onboard BMW navigation still work? And how much did you spend on the whole kit?
The BMW navigation still works. The whole kit was just under $2,100 because I also purchased the screen, which was $500.
and when you use apple carplay does it also display on the hud ?
AppleCarPlay is displayed on the HUD when I use the scroll wheel to go to the previous/next song
Im looking into doing this on my 2014 f30 335d xdrive. I just want wireless android auto for waze on the screen instead of mounting my phone. I can sell my nbt after to get some of the money back... did you sell your nbt?
This retrofit only gives Apple CarPlay (for iPhones), for Android Auto, I would say install a MMI Box to your current system

Can you revert back to your idrive and still use that
Apple CarPlay is just a tile on the iDrive screen that you can go in and out of

bruh, no coding?? what year is your car?
No coding required. My car is a 2014 and all of the necessary programming for the head unit was done before it was shipped to me
