I sat down to find a video, sermon or devotional to listen to and i asked God to show me what he wanted me to hear. I came across your video and felt him tell me to watch it. By the time it was over, I was crying. When the video was done and it was quiet, I could hear my husband in the next room loading the dishwasher for me, while listening to the bible, which was saying to love and cherish your wife. I needed to hear this and it was such an encouragement to me. Thank you ♥️

Hi Steph....60 yr old homemaker...mom of 7 and homeschooled the last couple of kids. Being your own boss is wonderful but takes intention totally agree. After decades of different schedules I finally settled on the best one for me:
Wake up - reward
Daily chores- reward
Weekly chores- reward
Supper/dishes - creative/social/walk etc.
Rewards are coffee, devotions, phone time, pinterest, watching the Waltons (keeps me motivating to finish daily stuff before it comes on tv) reading....whatever you love. Work and reward...I did the same with homeschooled kids and they worked quickly without any nagging from Mom....one recess after each subject. Thx for sharing your wisdom with others Stephanie ❤

I keep a prayer journal and I've have been praying daily that He would put it in my heart be a better home maker and keep a cleaner home. I also struggle with laziness, and I also get overwhelmed by the amount of work that needs to be done because all the chores have fallen so far behind. Maybe you could do a video on how a Godly woman can overcome being so ashamed and overwhelmed and get to work? (I may be overwhelmed but I AM going to fold the laundry and put it away right now instead of continuing to stare at.)

This was great! I too became lazy at school. I was blessed to be able to learn “ enough “ without studying. I have had jobs off and on and have volunteered a lot and have always given 1000% , but for some reason never applied it to my home. When the kids were young I def kept it clean, but as they got older I allowed myself to get lazier about it. It’s never too bad, just “ good enough “.

It really makes me feel motivated for homemaking. I want to keep in mind to do everything like I'm doing it for the Lord. I need to keep that in mind, cuz I myself am quite a lazy housewife 😅🤭

Sometimes I feel so lazy and when I see videos of christian homemakers that have 3, 4 or more children and do so many things each day, I feel ashamed.
I'm from Portugal, but because I lived in the States in the past, I watch mostly american chanels and I see homemakers making bread, canning, sewing and doing 1001 things while holding a baby in one hand... How?
I am married, without children and I feel so unmotivated sometimes... And when I look at the clutter from impulsive buyings or the dirty floors that where left like that because I was lazy...
I feel sorry for my husband and I know that God isn't pleased with me.
Like you said, how can I say to Jesus that I will do ANYTHING for Him, when I can't do ONE SIMPLE THING to have a tidy home for my husband and I?

Glad this video was helpful to you! Remember to go through your day with God. You don’t have to bake bread, sew and do all the things. Go one step at a time and give it your best. And what your best looks like might be completely different than some of those America channels 😉

Great advice. If you're something, do it for the glory of God. Try to pick up positive habits. You can't do it all, and it won't be perfect, and that's okay. God understands. But laziness is a sin, a sin against God and a sin against you and your life, and your family. God rewards those who follow his path.
Exactly, it doesn't have to be perfect, but we always need to do the best we can.

Ik had exact dezelfde teksten en daarbij ook Spreuken 12:24 & 27
Die teksten hielpen mij toen ik nog werkte, maar het blijft van kracht nu ik huismoeder/vrouw ben.
Maar deze boodschap gaf mij nog meer inzicht in wat je zegt “wat als Jezus jou nu zou vragen om het e.e.a. te doen?”
Dat heeft mij echt geraakt, want idd ik kijk er vaak tegenop om bepaalde dingen te doen en heb dan ook de neiging om het uit te stellen, maar ben dan ook meer gefocust dat ik mij per se aan mijn planning wil houden…
Maar omdat ik dat doe, focus ik mij niet op Gods zegen hierin..
Dus vanaf nu ga ik het ook anders zien en doen, alsof Jezus naast mij staat en mij vraagt om hulp🙌🏾
Ik doe het dan ook meer met blijdschap in mn hart en dat is dan ook een enorme zegen voor mij en mijn gezin!

That’s such a beautiful story! It has nothing to do with laziness though😉 That story is about knowing when you ‘lose yourself’ in all the distractions of life and forget about what is most important; Jesus. Doing (house)work is something we all should be doing. But when you start losing yourself in your job and work 80+ hours a week and have no time to be quiet and sit with Jesus, something is off in your priorities😊
Laziness happens when you ‘just don’t want to do things’ not when you decide to spend more time with Jesus. So laziness is a heart attitude of not wanting to do something. And we need to get rid of that attitude, because Jesus himself said; ‘if you don’t work, you won’t eat’.
