My mom used to get hair nails done by a stay at home mom. Her house was so cozy and inviting. Her kids were so well behaved and looked so healthy! Her husband seemed pretty happy too
I 100% agree wholeheartedly with everything you said about women being so often skilled in homemaking. A lot of the time, to me, feminism should be praising the thing that women have done historically for hundreds of years: making a beautiful, loving space for their loved ones. It's an honor to be a woman a part of a long line of women who do that.
Grateful for the women in my life who have passed those skills down to me! 🤍
Beautifully said!!
No true feminist would ever shame you for being a homemaker or a stay at home mom. Feminism is all about women having a choice. We as women should all be grateful for the feminist movement. Educate yourselves better.
I really appreciate that you kept this conversation safe for people who believe differently than you while still saying how you think and feel. Wonderful video thank you so much for sharing!!
“No success compensates for failure in the home “ forget the author of that but so true !
When my mother passed… people always talked about my mothers cooking and how she made everyone feel at home. And that’s what I do even when I don’t do it intentionally to spoil people, lol. People I know don’t do that for me, when I come over they want me to cook and clean and the house is a mess and when their husband comes home, they don’t greet him, nothing. The kids are snacking, watching tv and everything is out of order.
“We are the thermostat, not the thermometer” 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Love the concept of this video. My husband and I always make sure to connect at dinner as a family. No phones, music playing in the background and sharing our thoughts.
LOVE this - putting phones down is huge!
I’m only 6 minutes in to this video, and I already feel SO inspired and feel like we are the same person. This video is basically all of my goals and aspirations that have been building for years! So happy you put it all into words that makes sense for my husband to understand my dreams! Thanks for the video!!
As someone who is no longer Christian, I greatly appreciate you saying things like “not only because it’s what the Bible commands, but because historically this works.” It means so much to still be able to enjoy a Christian channel without feeling like it’s made for Christians only.
I love what you brought up in this video. It was very thorough, and I love what you said about prayer. Prayer is powerful, and I believe it is a crucial part of healthy family dynamics. I’m also so glad you recognized that women play such a huge role in home-making. I think a lot of society shuns this, so I’m very impressed with how you put that. Thank you! Very well done.
I appreciate this so much, Emily! Thank you 💗
Love Love Loveeeee this video. Many people have a negative association of homemaking especially if it is done by a stay at home mom. This is my go to video when people ask me "what do you do all day"
Wow! If only you knew how much I needed this video! Long story short, for a month, I was praying God about what He wants me to do. I still didn't know yesterday. But yesterday, my husband broke his ankle really bad 🥺 And now I will need to take care of all his needs for the next few months because he can't stand. So I REALLY needed this video. I was asking myself: how can I balanced to help him and also let him know that i love him and also take time with him, but not having a clutter home! 🥺 Thank you! I feel less overwhelmed.🥰
Wishing you all the best!
My 3 words for my home
1) embracing
2) beautiful
3) adventurous
Thank you for sharing your heart. It Resignated with me.💛
Wow. Bold & clear. Vital for women today!
Cozy, inspiring, & safe are 3 words that come to mind when I imagine my future home 😍 Your personality is so infectious, I look forward to watching you every week!
Love all of those - thank you for sharing 🤍 and you are so sweet!
I 100% agree with your principles. Im a fairly organized person and used to be a workaholic but after having a newborn its a been a challenge to not beat myself up for not having a uniformed household the way I used to. My husband and I agreed to him working and me being home so it has been an adjustment to our new roles. Personally I have embraced my new role and am always looking for ways to improve our household function. I tried the challenge and the 3 words that come to mind for me are: organized, inviting, and inspiring. Thank you for giving me a lot to reflect on I feel more whole about my new role.
THANK YOU BETH, its so refreshing to see this in another young woman, I am 34, happily married and a mother of two and LOOOOOOVE home making, and the definition that you described it is just perfect…a peaceful place that your family, friends , and you are please to be…your holy place ❤ Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I hope more women our age get to listen to this 😊
Loved this!!! So articulate and inspiring. Love that you brought so much of God’s truth and heart into it…not about perfection but about presence, intentionally, and serving our loved ones. So so good! 🙌
Relaxing, organized, practical. Except, organized and relaxing are hard to achieve at the same time 😅
Love your perspective. Thanks for shaing.
LOVED this! Thank you so much. My three words are cozy, inspiring, & spirit filled!
I absolutely love this content minus one item. men can be the most amazing work from home parents too. for those who didn't have negative experiences with females growing up, you might not be able to comprehend this, but men aren't given enough credit for what they contribute in this topic specifically, too. I know we should raise others up, I just feel like we shouldn't forget the incredible fathers that fill this role too, sometimes much better than the moms of the home.
Great perspective, thanks for sharing and for the preparation that people don’t see putting a video like this together. Definitely something I think a lot about when I have my own place- crafting an environment. It has so much impact on our lives, and the people we let in
Thanks Aiden! Having a great eye for design always translates into the home too - your space is going to be amazing 🙌🏻
Thank you for sharing your faith on this platform! Keep going! 👏
Absolutely loved this Beth! It really gave me something to think about and motivated me to create the calming, spacious environment that I want my home to be. Thanks so much for posting!
I love everything about the video, thank you so much! ❤️
I love the point you made about intentional time with the family ❤️
So thorough and helpful ❤
Honestly the most balanced take I’ve ever heard.
So inspiring! Would love more videos in the future like this. Thankyou for sharing! ❤️
Love that quote.
I love this video so much! My favorite video this month! I agree with everything you’ve said. Can you make a video with some practical traditions you keep in your home yearly?
Absolutely love this - so insightful and encouraging, and you addressed it in such a delicate yet beautiful way! i love everything about this, all my goals in one video 😍
This is a great video on what a homemaker is! Love this!
Love this!! ❤️
I recently found your channel and I absolutely love your content because of your beautiful perspective on life 🌸I Just want you to know you are already being a great role model to me and maybe even my feature daughter and more importantly to your daughter. I pray that I can instill these practices in my home and pass them on to my family. Thank you so so much for this!! 💕 God Bless You in many ways.

I loved this video! Please share more videos like this! Your ideas were very inspiring and gave me a lot of ideas!
Will do! 🥰 I'm so glad!
So good!
Wow, I LOVE your channel!!! It’s been hard for me to find a good homemaking channel that doesn’t have too much Christian extremism :) I believe in god and like to talk about it a bit, but that’s different than extremism. This is the ONLY CHANNEL that ever mentioned a division of chores!!! Can you believe it?? I’ve been doing everything…maybe I shouldn’t? Idk, something to think about :)
First video I'm watching from you. Really feeling like this was a God sent video. Definitely convicting but ENCOURAGING. Looking forward to more
Omg… Thank You 🙏❤️
Wow, this must have been a lot of work. Thank you so much for this video and for being such an inspiration ❤ I also feel like women set the temperature in a home - yet I still don´t feel like I understand why that is (I am not a religious person). Would so much love to hear more about that.
I love your videos so much beth
I’m so glad 🤍
So happy I found your videos
So happy you’re here 🤍

Hi, new here…. I know God led me to find this video… and wow what you said is so true, I used to think that something was wrong with me because I enjoyed being this way since I was a child. I lost my mom really young but she was always home, she was abused and lost her life and I’m single and not married… but everything fell apart when she would get away from my father and leave us with him. It was rough my childhood and for my siblings and I and my mom because he didn’t even work. The conditions we lived in were horrible.
He used us for government assistance and was abusive and treated us like slaves. But when we got away from him, my mother loved to cook and so did I and the things she taught me. Fast forward I’m an adult, dating and men recognize these things in me, through conversation or just spending a little time with me. One I even lived with for a few months, but ended because I was not playing house. But it’s like they want to domesticate me and treat me like a slave. My father put all the responsibility on me because I was a female and he didn’t do anything. I was in the house with 3 males and I had no life until I got away from him. I know in the future I will not be with a man like that. But it does bring me joy to create that space for people when they enter my home and I even do it for others. People can’t wait to have me over😁.
In school we had home economics. I truly enjoyed it! It was natural for me. My fear is a man taking advantage of how domestic I am and I fear I won’t have help. That all these things will be expected of me and I won’t be appreciated. But I’ve always been this way and I just have this yearning inside of me, that I’ve been trying to deny and it’s making my womb hurt. I know raising a family and being married is not a walk in the park but lately I’ve been having these domestic dreams, that I never had before. Maybe because my heart has been closed but now it’s open. Hopefully one day I will find a good Christian man, who will honor and respect this gift God put in me and women alike.
Great video! I hate how these days people criticize women who pride themselves on being a good homemaker!
Also, can you share where you got your cabinet in the back? It’s gorgeous!!
So glad you enjoyed it! 🤍 The sideboard is actually an IKEA hack - we made it but used the IVAR doors 🥰
Video look great! 😀🤘🏼
Thanks for watching 🥰
Homemaking is creating an atmosphere in your home! I love this perspective thank you for blessing us with this video ❤️
A thermostat, not a thermometer...I really like that! Also thank you for adjusting your video for non Christian too! I loooove videos about homemaking but as a feminist witch I sometimes feels a bit out of place. Thank you 😊 💓
✨
Best video you've made so far I.M.O !!!!
Mother Teresa! :) That's who said the quote.
Can you do a video on how you manage your life doing RUclips and full time mom? I’m having such a hard time finding time to get anything done with my 5 week old. 🙏🏼
Oh girl, it's just hard having a 5 week old baby! That early newborn time is seriously hard in terms of having time to do anything aside from eating, sleeping and trying to feel like a clean human being haha it's still a recovery time and it's a good time to give yourself slack on living a "normal" life. Now that my baby is 7 months old, I realize that it DOES get easier to feel like my old self much more and even get things done! Haha it takes time and healing to be on the move again!
I wrote about things like this years ago and women came after me, saying I was setting women back.
So well said especially what you said about feminism ❤
No true feminist would ever shame you for being a homemaker or a stay at home mom. Feminism is all about women having a choice. We as women should all be grateful for the feminist movement. Educate yourself better.
