My mom used to get hair nails done by a stay at home mom. Her house was so cozy and inviting. Her kids were so well behaved and looked so healthy! Her husband seemed pretty happy too

I 100% agree wholeheartedly with everything you said about women being so often skilled in homemaking. A lot of the time, to me, feminism should be praising the thing that women have done historically for hundreds of years: making a beautiful, loving space for their loved ones. It's an honor to be a woman a part of a long line of women who do that.

Grateful for the women in my life who have passed those skills down to me! 🤍

No true feminist would ever shame you for being a homemaker or a stay at home mom. Feminism is all about women having a choice. We as women should all be grateful for the feminist movement. Educate yourselves better.

When my mother passed… people always talked about my mothers cooking and how she made everyone feel at home. And that’s what I do even when I don’t do it intentionally to spoil people, lol. People I know don’t do that for me, when I come over they want me to cook and clean and the house is a mess and when their husband comes home, they don’t greet him, nothing. The kids are snacking, watching tv and everything is out of order.

As someone who is no longer Christian, I greatly appreciate you saying things like “not only because it’s what the Bible commands, but because historically this works.” It means so much to still be able to enjoy a Christian channel without feeling like it’s made for Christians only.

I love what you brought up in this video. It was very thorough, and I love what you said about prayer. Prayer is powerful, and I believe it is a crucial part of healthy family dynamics. I’m also so glad you recognized that women play such a huge role in home-making. I think a lot of society shuns this, so I’m very impressed with how you put that. Thank you! Very well done.

Wow! If only you knew how much I needed this video! Long story short, for a month, I was praying God about what He wants me to do. I still didn't know yesterday. But yesterday, my husband broke his ankle really bad 🥺 And now I will need to take care of all his needs for the next few months because he can't stand. So I REALLY needed this video. I was asking myself: how can I balanced to help him and also let him know that i love him and also take time with him, but not having a clutter home! 🥺 Thank you! I feel less overwhelmed.🥰

I 100% agree with your principles. Im a fairly organized person and used to be a workaholic but after having a newborn its a been a challenge to not beat myself up for not having a uniformed household the way I used to. My husband and I agreed to him working and me being home so it has been an adjustment to our new roles. Personally I have embraced my new role and am always looking for ways to improve our household function. I tried the challenge and the 3 words that come to mind for me are: organized, inviting, and inspiring. Thank you for giving me a lot to reflect on I feel more whole about my new role.

I absolutely love this content minus one item. men can be the most amazing work from home parents too. for those who didn't have negative experiences with females growing up, you might not be able to comprehend this, but men aren't given enough credit for what they contribute in this topic specifically, too. I know we should raise others up, I just feel like we shouldn't forget the incredible fathers that fill this role too, sometimes much better than the moms of the home.

It’s been hard for me to find a good homemaking channel that doesn’t have too much Christian extremism :) I believe in god and like to talk about it a bit, but that’s different than extremism. This is the ONLY CHANNEL that ever mentioned a division of chores!!! Can you believe it?? I’ve been doing everything…maybe I shouldn’t? Idk, something to think about :)

Hi, new here…. I know God led me to find this video… and wow what you said is so true, I used to think that something was wrong with me because I enjoyed being this way since I was a child. I lost my mom really young but she was always home, she was abused and lost her life and I’m single and not married… but everything fell apart when she would get away from my father and leave us with him. It was rough my childhood and for my siblings and I and my mom because he didn’t even work. The conditions we lived in were horrible.
He used us for government assistance and was abusive and treated us like slaves. But when we got away from him, my mother loved to cook and so did I and the things she taught me. Fast forward I’m an adult, dating and men recognize these things in me, through conversation or just spending a little time with me. One I even lived with for a few months, but ended because I was not playing house. But it’s like they want to domesticate me and treat me like a slave. My father put all the responsibility on me because I was a female and he didn’t do anything. I was in the house with 3 males and I had no life until I got away from him. I know in the future I will not be with a man like that. But it does bring me joy to create that space for people when they enter my home and I even do it for others. People can’t wait to have me over😁.
In school we had home economics. I truly enjoyed it! It was natural for me. My fear is a man taking advantage of how domestic I am and I fear I won’t have help. That all these things will be expected of me and I won’t be appreciated. But I’ve always been this way and I just have this yearning inside of me, that I’ve been trying to deny and it’s making my womb hurt. I know raising a family and being married is not a walk in the park but lately I’ve been having these domestic dreams, that I never had before. Maybe because my heart has been closed but now it’s open. Hopefully one day I will find a good Christian man, who will honor and respect this gift God put in me and women alike.

Oh girl, it's just hard having a 5 week old baby! That early newborn time is seriously hard in terms of having time to do anything aside from eating, sleeping and trying to feel like a clean human being haha it's still a recovery time and it's a good time to give yourself slack on living a "normal" life. Now that my baby is 7 months old, I realize that it DOES get easier to feel like my old self much more and even get things done! Haha it takes time and healing to be on the move again!
