I think it was the RUclips channel " Car Care Wizard " ? That says when it reconnects them he sprays silicone where they connect . Using just the normal nozzle , not the red tube . To make sure that they make a good connection and hasn't had any issues with it .
The date that the car is manufactured is those numbers 9/95 meaning September of 1995 anything after June is made the year after. Anything before June is the year before. This is no doubt a 1996 accord

And you can strip the cables back about an inch with wire strippers & get a speaker wire connected to connect them or solder them

That is only on your car or truck they are all different amd o not disconnect the same tho just a fyi
