The internal battery of the voyager pro doesn't seem to hold much charge life. You can wire the unit into the 12v source on your sled, that should charge while you ride.
I think you’d have a tough time damaging the unit on a sled. I’m not currently using Onx, but their website lists the voyager as a comparable device. Since the voyager was designed for use on sxs, atv and motorcycles the Onx product would be awesome on this!
Most people who ride in the back country bring their cell phone and/or have some GPS device. Really an added safety feature. A lot of places we ride in utah you can get cell service. if you’re ever in a bad situation and need help being able to give someone your coordinates be lifesaving, especially in avy situations.
Paranoid much. You can password protect the group. But that’s something people that paranoid won’t think of. By the way you don’t need electronics to be tracked. Humans do it to animals every day and vise versa
Great video did you just hook the red wire from the sled to the red wire on the voyager pro and then the Brown wire to Black on the voyager pro
Do you have a part number for the male auxiliary power adapter by chance?
Sorry meant female adapter
for Polaris or skidoo? The one to plug into the factory accessory plug?
@@richardmaxwell1433 Polaris rmk pro 850? 2020
Super info thants you
A few of my buddies have these on their skidoos but are having problems keeping them charged. These are non E-start models. Any pointers?

Install a battery on your sled and have the sled recharge the battery. I did this on my father-in-laws Polaris Indy 600.
Are you still working on the arctic cat/Yamaha install video?
Wondering this as well.
Also wondering… you said you were going to make one in the Polaris video
Was that an unused power connector that you used? Or did you have to splice the wire?
what is the difference between trail tech voyager and trail tech voyager pro?
Hmmm...looks like that's going to break super easy. Like the unit though. Do you know if its onx compatible?

No you can’t use ONX on it
So can you use it to track a Polaris with their gauge, Cross company basically?
Yes you can link to the polaris 7s gauge and the sxs gauge. Same company makes both gauges and use mostly same software
Does your sled have a battery or are these connections on all 850s? Even without electric start?
The voyager has an internal battery that can be wired into your sled so it charges as you ride. Don’t need e-start battery.
One of the best parts of not having a cell phone or some gage that tracks your every movement, is not being tracked.
