Harpo Marx as a human being was the best. He wanted 4 children as he had four windows at the front of his house and wanted to see them smiling through them as he left for work! Shalom and RIP Marx brothers comedy icons.
I don't blame Maxine for wanting to defend her father. When people pick at him and his faults, it feels like they're largely just parroting Groucho's comments, just to feel cool.
@@denicesanders4586 Groucho could be bitter at times and he didn't think of how his flippant comments would be seen by so many people. But he was very intelligent and did care about his family. He was frustrated because he didn't know how to help his brother.
Maxine definitely preferred her Father to her Mother. I think she did not like her Mother much, in print and in pictures it was Maxine who was always next to Chico, crowding out her Mother. Check it out when you read or see pics of them as a family.
I loved Harpo Marx but l also thought he could not speak, a well known newspaper told me he could really speak! He could not speak on stage because he was nervous, similar to me in school plays l also couldn't have a speaking part!

Towards the end of the video there is the Is wife of harple Mark's who admits that he came in so late from work that by the time time he came in the children were already asleep which was around 12 midnight then I think to myself that if you don't see your It's with enough daylight hours Then do you really have a family and are you really the head of a family? If you are a rich man in Hollywood coming home late so that you don't see your family you are just as poor as a slave in Egypt who worked for more than 16 hours A-day...you got home late and you didn't see your family. Mind you harple is a Jewish man so you would think that he would know a little little bit about family But it comes to Hollywood and then it's mesmerized by the razamataz of fame so that hands are going home so late That the kids are asleep. Sometimes I wonder if men hate children. And they only have children so they could seem normal. Being a father and a dad is more than coming in to a p**** hole. It's about being present.

Groucho was a brilliant man, in his youth he wanted to be a doctor. Sadly, that dream had to be abandoned to earn money for his family.

Kids today are so cheated out of the greatest talents we had growing up. Today is so meh.
