Hello, I want to say a big thank you for your help. I had my interview 4days ago and I passed , the interview was very smooth, I literally answered almost every single question without my interviewer probing deep on what I said meaning he was satisfied with the answered he was getting and so am really grateful. Keep up the good work.🤝
Congratulations on a successful interview and sorry for the late reply....Great job
Just passed my interview CA said it was the best he’d had in a long time thank you so much for the help 😁
Wow that's a great achievement, thanks so much for watching
Congratulations @Buzztron I have mine next week - was there anything you were asked that wasn’t mentioned in this video?
@@AdebayoBlackbee I applied for a role in the FAA so I was asked a couple of questions about aircraft/air stations. Its pretty simple to be honest the vast majority of the interview is about your home life, work experience, and how you did at school. As long as you do some research on your specific trade and a bit of general research on the navy itself for example where some of the bases are, what their names are you should smash it. Good luck mate!

Thats awesome well done mate!
I had my interview a while ago and I passed, just to anyone worrying, I did so poorly that my AFCO told me I really need to improve my knowledge on the Royal Navy as a whole. Just a tip, make sure you know about the job role inside out - and if you don't any questions just say that you don't know. Luckily my interviewer was really nice and empathetic to the fact I was 17 and had little to no experience in the interview setting.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Very helpful, any other tips? Got mine next Tuesday
Same 😂😂 don't worry you're not alone, did mine a few weeks back and I didn't even know what I'd be doing in my CPC. A bit of research and memorising and I think I knew better than before.

Hi got my interview tomorrow so wish me luck I watched your video like 100times now just to get a fair idea
hey sorry i didnt see this earlier, but it was good to hear that you had passed. congrats again!
great vid, what is the sea roles for a seaman specialist?
At sea your duties will include being the bosuns mates and steering the ship under the command of the officer of the watch. Also saving life at sea becoming the swimmer of the watch recovering sailors that have fallen over board. You will also be part of a gunnery crew and learn how to use our close range weapons systems. You will also learn skills like flag communication and more code with flashing lights. They are just a few!
What’s the best answer to say for why the navy instead of the other forces
Great video ! What roles could I be looking at in the civvy world after I leave the Royal Navy for example if I was to leave with the qualifications of a warfare specialist
Warfare specialists gain alot of experience on a radar plot and handling information on computers. I would assume anything similar in the civvy street would happily hire. I'm not too sure what exact qualifications a WS get but you will get an opportunity to see what is available for you outside with a resettlement package
Interview tomorrow! Great tips, thanks :)
How did it go
Good video and insight mate, honestly the only thing I am not looking forward to is the application stage, Reasoning, Numeracy & Mechanical Comprehension lol. Got all the fitness levels right and I practice those mock test on the Royal Navy web site but it would be good if there was like available past papers on those rather than me doing the same questions over and over. I am just preparing for the worst so I can get through it with some ease but, I mean will the tests be any different to the mock one on the website?
Videos been a great help in knowing what to expect. I've got my interview in a couple of days and just doing my final bits of revision. Any tips on what to scrub up on for a role in the Royal Navy Police? What do they normally do day to day at sea?
Cheers mate
Hi mate, just wondering if you have any information on the recruitment process for a re joiner, ex army wanting to get back into military life! But fancy a change (hence the Navy) any info would help! Cheers pal
Had my first interview, passed just sadly didn’t find these videos before I had it. Now just waiting to hear when I need to do my 1.5 mile run and then so on.
My interview was for the role: seaman specialist
How long did it take because just applied today for chef
Just wondering what's the food like during basic and how did you it?
The food in my opinion was fine, nothing special just your standard protein, carb and veg option. It's like a normal canteen system which you are served by the kitchen staff. I'm not a fussy eater at all so I enjoyed anything they put out haha
Thank you 😊
Hello mate, just to let you know I’ve watched many of your videos over the past few months, and they have helped me massively. I’ve now passed all the stages of recruitment and I have my provisional entry date for the 7th of December. Any tips?

You could be based on any ship, you can select your preferences when you join
@@CallumFrogley Ah okay! Thank you!
Hey, can you give me some advice mostly on what sort of knowledge i need for the question about my knowledge of the service i know you mentioned a couple things but what would i be best to revise, im going in as a weapons engineer?
a great way to see what the RN is up to is to have a look at TwoSixTV they usualy do a 60 second update every other week with current OPS around the world. maybe they will help you gain a more rounded knowledge.
Good morning sir,my interview was a success and I have already gone through my security clearance and res waiver but still the say I can travel to the UK at the moment to complete my recruitment and that it has all to do with covid-19,sir do you have any idear when this ban will be lifted?
Firstly congratulations on getting this far, unfortunately I could not possibly be able to tell you what the UK plans are with covid, it seems to change all the time. I know that restrictions have lifted almost completely now but the travel restrictions are still uncertain. I hope that soon you will have your answer. Thanks for watching though and good luck with your career!
I’ve got my interview tomorrow, how long on average does it take to get a date to start basic training?
Hey, Callum. Have my entry date for early next year. What do you to get there? I have a zoom call to explain stuff but don’t want to embarrass myself with stupid questions. It says be at Torpoint by 00:00. Do you then get a ferry somewhere? Ahah mate I’m so confused, cheers
All will be explained. I got a train and met a load of people at the station in Plymouth who were also in the new entry. A leading hand was there standing behind a lecturn who then guided us onto a coach. It won't hurt to ask questions, that's what the meeting is for 😉
Aha yes true. Thank you. Been with the channel since I first applied over a year ago so you’ve really helped me!
Hi I’ve got my interview next week and I was wondering is you could tell me where the Royal Navy work as in what country’s they help and what will I fix as a marine engineer as I can’t find this on the website thanks.
As a ME, you will be working on the power and propulsion side of things with regards to the ship. This could range from gas turbines, diesel generators, fresh/chilled/sea water system. Its a very busy department but guarantees job satisfaction. The Royal navy have the capability to work almost anywhere due to our large capability of different ships. Just search royal navy on RUclips and I'm sure you will find many different videos on various operations!
How did it go?
What's your experience of the medical branch, I'm looking at being a medical assistant. Do you know what life is like for MA on board the surface fleet?
Someone asked me this before, depending on the vessel whether or not it has a medical bay or surgery you will be deployed on ships with either a LMA or POMA working alongside you. You can also be based on a shore establishment in the medbays. Life in either scenario is much like any other branch, you work similar hours and will have other duty responsibilities as well!
Got my interview tomorrow
hey i have questions on medical assistant role
Can someone help on what i should wear for my interview, not sure if i should go casual or suit ?

Hello mate any advice for warfare specialist surface fleet nervous for Monday 😂

Ive got my Warefare Specialist - Submariner interview tomorrow! Never been more nervous🤣 luckily my interview is via a webcam call so i might be able to sneak some notes on my wall behind the camera🤣
How did this go I’ve got mine Monday!
@@fearlessgodlikemission6924 wasnt too bad tbh, i was very nervous before hand. But my Careers advisor was chill. asked me quite a few personal questions. Like who i live with, what are my hobbies and interests. Have i ever spent time away from family. (If yes then what did i do, so i went on an NCS trip at college and occasional Scouts & Cadet camping trips) then they asked how did i feel with being away from family and do i find it easy to socialise with others. (Present yourself as being confident because it looks good)
Do i take part in social activities such as a football club, or any type of sport group whether thats school/college teams. My interview was very much a discussion to get to know me more on a personal level really. Towards the end he did ask me a few basic questions relating to my branch and the navy in general. Like why did i pick my branch. What reasons i decided to join the navy over the other branches. asked me to name a few bases and training establishments. And give a description as to why the UK has a royal navy and what does the royal navy do. (Prevention of conflict, counter piracy, humanitarian aid and providing secruity at sea) i talked about the recent events aswell with what happened in Beirut that HMS Enterprise provided support and assistance in the situation after the explosion.
Another two questions he asked me which i wasnt expecting was, what is the proudest moment of my life. Which i said i made it into the local news paper because i hosted a local football tournament🤣 literally couldnt think of anything else. Then asked me the most embarrassing thing thats ever happened to me. In which i said i tripped over on stage during a school play. (Was a lie cos i literally couldnt think of anything on the spot haha)
You will have a discussion about your fitness training. also what the swim test and running test is. So the swim test being a 3m jump in overalls and a 2length swim in under 4mins, then getting out without any help.
I did say during this discussion that im not quite meeting the PJFT requirements just yet but my progression has been very noticeable which he then decided at the end of the interview to put my application on hold till im in a more capable state of passing my test.
Ultimately if you just prepare for the questions that they should have sent you via email youll be fine. Just make sure you do a tiny bit of research like for example Giving the locations of the training establishments and bases.
Feel free to ask anything else and ill try help as mine was very recent so they may be similar interviews 😏 ps what have you applied for?
@@fearlessgodlikemission6924 also i was asked about the drug policy which is absolute zero tolerance to drugs and you will be dismissed from the navy near enough instantly so stay away from it

Hello mate do they pay you while you’re in training to?
Absolutely, you get a decent amount really considering you get everything else for free (food etc.)
Callum Frogley thanks mate I have my interview Monday any tips ? I am goinn for warfare specialist. Will this role need to be able to do pull ups? I can do push ups sit ups but I do struggle with pull ups and also does the Royal Navy require the 42 press ups in a minute etc?? Many thanks bud !
@@fearlessgodlikemission6924 hey I have an interview video on my channel feel free to have a look. Unless they have changed the recruitment process I don't believe pull ups were part of the programme. Just run mate cardio is a big element of training in the RN.
I have my interview next Monday but I didn't do a pjft I got an email saying I passed but I think that must mean they aren't doing it as when I got the info for my interview it said "make sure you have you 2.4km run time" so I don't think they are doing the pjft and they aren't doing your PRNC

Yes, in warfare AWW and SEA SPECS and maybe others... And if you want to be on a boarding party there are courses you can go on the same with other types of weapons courses Glocks, GPMGs ect.
