My husbands doctor never expressed concern over my husband’s A1C. He sat back until it elevated to the point where he was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, then prescribed metformin(sp). Although I didn’t convince my husband to go strict keto, I did feed him mostly keto and he substantially lowered his carbs. He was able to come off the meds. Doctors don’t want you well, they want you to be a perpetual customer.
I've learned over the last 15 years that there are doctors are there who are actually criminals in disguise. They care more about making you sick to make money off you with meds than they care about you as a human being.
Doctors don’t want you well? I think your doctor was just poor. Most doctors I work with care about people and apply their medical skills to help them. It’s just that the skills they are taught do not usually revolve around healing people with dietary changes. Just can’t get the compliance out of 99% of people.
Metformin is a terrible drug with horrible side affects .., I stopped it too ; but doctor was supportive .., but my A1c was like 6.7 … it up to ME to control what I eat .., fight everyday not to eat carbs because I love bread , pasta and rice … must carefully watch sugar because it’s in almost everything!!! But I must if I want to reverse the type 2 diabetes 🤣

You two are inspirational. I’m down 30lb (200lb to 170lb) since November doing intermittent fasting, keto, and resistance training. I know I’ve lost more but I’ve gained muscle. I have lost 100 lbs since finding yall and ken berry and a few others I have about 50 lbs left to go to goal weight its been about 14 months so far I have had a few slips here and there but focused on getting right back to it instead of giving up. I am doing a rolling 48hr fasting regime 4wks in and have reversed a lot of symptoms. Down 25lbs! Great vid. Electrolytes are also key especially after 50.

Great info. I have been carnivore for several months now & was keto before that. I have lost 60 lbs so far & would like to lose another 25. I've been doing some if & have done some extended fasts. I will get into some weights now that I have seen this.

Hey you 2, so glad I came across your video! I have followed Dr. Berry, Fung and Berg, along with Tom Delaur, and Maria and Craig Immerich (insert spell check here)! I started Feb 28, 2022. I am down from 230lbs to 190, 4 inches of belly gone! I had some bumps along the way dropping my sugar so dramaically, however, never consulted my Dr. Always consult your Dr. before attempting dieting extremes! Anyhow, I am much better now because when I did see him in April he ripped me off 3 medications. My sugar was the lowest it's been at 5.4 A1C. I told him as I was leaving...I'll be back in 3 onths and I will be off the rest of these meds! (next apt is July) and I will be! My man boobs went from a C to an A cup too! LOL Thanks for the video, I will look for you both more often! Keep to your commmitment with each other, and with your health! Great job!

I use work as exercise. Caring for animals. Hauling the food bags. Mowing, gardening. That kind of stuff I do have a exercise bike and should be using it. I keep some weights around.they helped in winter.

the skin tag stuff is interesting - I've started getting them as I age, and insulin resistance is what I finally discovered was the probable cause. Now just gotta work on the diet and exercise... Well done!

That’s nice that you BOTH did these changes as a team. My husband is a MD, but will not make changes like these . I cut out a lot of carbs and do treadmill 4 miles/weights , but haven’t incorporated intermittent fasting. It’s harder when health changes aren’t done together as a team.

20 hours into a 72 hour fast at the moment. I'm convinced that the long-term health benefits far outweigh the short-term hunger pangs. Drinking plenty of water is IMPORTANT in controlling hunger, but VITAL in helping to flush away the toxins that were previously stored in the fat cells. (Fasting means that insulin will drop, enabling the fat cells to be opened, and the contents used for energy requirements)

Excellent useful information! Going on 3rd week of Carnivore. Lost a couple of lbs. I am getting deeper cycles. Will add weights and exercise! Goal is to lower A1c. Last check was 7.1. Will be checked again in June!
Many of the keto advisers point out that a serving of protein is 3 to 4 ounces. If you are not loosing weight , perhaps you would benefit from checking out the videos Dr. Berg posts on RUclips. His explanations are top notch for clarity. Gathering knowledge from several resources helps one decide how they would like to proceed. Just a suggestion, since you mentioned that you have only lost a few pounds after 3 weeks of using the carnivore diet plan.
Wow. You guys look great. I'm in the process of cutting out soda and sweets and it hasn't been too tough but I know how difficult it can be to stay true and regimented. I'm 55 now and figured it was time before anything serious develops. I just need to lose about 15 lbs but the transformation you folks have done is really impressive.

Super!!! My husband lost 63 pounds and lowered his insulin consumption. Then after some crisis, lost extra 30 lb and all his stomach fat. His blood pressure went to normal for the first time in 20 years just on its own because it is direct correlation btw insulin resistance and blood pressure. We personally didn't find a ton of benefit in doing lots of extended fasts like that. A good 48 hours gives me everything I need personally.

That’s nice that you BOTH did these changes as a team. My husband is a MD, but will not make changes like these . I cut out a lot of carbs and do treadmill 4 miles/weights , but haven’t incorporated intermittent fasting. It’s harder when health changes aren’t done together as a team.

20 hours into a 72 hour fast at the moment. I'm convinced that the long-term health benefits far outweigh the short-term hunger pangs. Drinking plenty of water is IMPORTANT in controlling hunger, but VITAL in helping to flush away the toxins that were previously stored in the fat cells. (Fasting means that insulin will drop, enabling the fat cells to be opened, and the contents used for energy requirements)

I had just been prescribed carnivore by my doctor with no how’s or why’s have done it a week and then traveled and struggled tiny bit even though I love the way I feel and while struggling you and your fast food shorts popped up and saved my life I thought until I saw this and this is what I really needed to keep going. Excellent useful information! Going on 3rd week of Carnivore. Lost a couple of lbs. I am getting deeper cycles. Will add weights and exercise! Goal is to lower A1c. Last check was 7.1. Will be checked again in June!
Many of the keto advisers point out that a serving of protein is 3 to 4 ounces. If you are not loosing weight , perhaps you would benefit from checking out the videos Dr. Berg posts on RUclips. His explanations are top notch for clarity. Gathering knowledge from several resources helps one decide how they would like to proceed. Just a suggestion, since you mentioned that you have only lost a few pounds after 3 weeks of using the carnivore diet plan.

Wow. You guys look great. I'm in the process of cutting out soda and sweets and it hasn't been too tough but I know how difficult it can be to stay true and regimented. I'm 55 now and figured it was time before anything serious develops. I just need to lose about 15 lbs but the transformation you folks have done is really impressive.

Dr Ken Berry has a list of issues that indicate metabolic syndrome/insulin resistance, including skin tags.

Super!!! My husband lost 63 pounds and lowered his insulin consumption. Then after some crisis, lost extra 30 lb and all his stomach fat. His blood pressure went to normal for the first time in 20 years just on its own because it is direct correlation btw insulin resistance and blood pressure.
