  • It has been a while since I did a video like this, with beef prices on the rise, there's a lot less rib eyes in my diet than before. This is an up-to-date version of what I am currently eating to maintain my weight on a carnivore diet. I am eating 2 meals a day and looking for ways to feed a busy family (on a budget) without adding a bunch of carbs.

    Week one down, just meat and a little above ground veg… the family ate what I ate. I’m so excited to find your channel. This gives me hope that we can all convert as a family. My mom died at 58. Dementia, renal failure, both legs amputated and in congestive heart failure. I turned 50 this year and I’m absolutely determined to live a long healthy life and teach my family to. My husband's father died of cancer at 56. He's now 44 and doing everything he can to avoid that fate. He lost a lot of weight on plant paradox (almost 100 lbs) but our progress (health and weight) plateaued and stalled. We moved to carnivore 3 weeks ago and back to losing weight and feeling much more energized. We no longer need sleeping pills. Something about meat is putting us back on a regular rhythm. Good for you for taking things into your own hands and screw big Pharma indeed!

    I've never heard of this diet but as a farm family we eat meat. I'm a farmer's wife and we raise our own pork and prime beef. Iowa farmer's are proud to raise the best meat in the world to serve the consumer. We have promoted our message and I am happy to come across your channel as you inspire me to continue to promote more and to help others while shopping for meat suggesting how to choose the best. Never buy meat that doesn't have the white marbling running through the fibers. Your meat will be tough. Beef from farm to market is raised over 18 months so a lot of TLC and good feed rations is fed.
    American farmer's raise the best meat for our consumers. We are created to be meat eaters. FYI: Cows eat plants, but it is converted into high protein meat. It has all sources of vitamins and minerals.

So far I've lost almost 10 lbs. Pretty much all my life I've struggled with sugar addiction. Nothing has helped until now. It was hard the first few days. But now it's a breeze. This channel has been a good resource. I am a 30 M. About 20 pounds overweight. I’ve mostly started with keto since Jan 1. Eliminated candy and carbs. Mainly meat and veggies. I plan to switch to carnivore in the next few weeks though a lot of my friends who lean politically a certain way have judged me for thinking about it. Oddly took it personal that I would eat only meat.
    And believe my actions will contribute to climate change. Anyways My advice is don’t tell people you don’t need too. You’re Costco trip video was the MOST helpful. And I love me a Flying Dutchman! Sending you a lot good vibes!!!!

      You should tell them climate change has been happening for millenia. The earth was hotter than it is now, 100 000 years ago, and it declined into a mini-ice age after that. This happens every few hundreds of years. Warms up, cools down. We're headed in that very same direction now. The poles used to be tropical rainforests before the big Ice Age. It's a natural phenomena that politicians are cashing in on because people have become mugs and believe everything they're being told by those in charge.

    Ok, I’m definitely trying those pork nuggets! Those are right up my alley. I love the “pizza meat” bowls, too. We make something similar in our house, but as a baked casserole. We just call it lasagna bake- it’s essentially lasagna with no noodles.

    I love lazy cooking it gives my time outside in my garden. I normally just cook ground beef mix in my crockpot for a meatloaf. Cooks well too I just add my seasoning I like and mix eggs into the meat to get it to stick together plus I add butter for more fat and flavors. Been enjoying your videos thanks for sharing

    Thanks for the ideas! I’ve been keto for quite a while (fell off last year and recently restarted), but I’m finding that since my gallbladder was removed, even super clean keto isn’t enough to help my digestive health.. definitely considering carnivore/ketovore, and seeing your success and some of your recipe ideas helps make it feel more accessible.

      For people that have already high blood pressure and a history of heart disease I can’t imagine this to be healthy if you get your cholesterol checked before and after this lifestyle, My dad was a true southerner and ate pork and bacon all of the time and died from a massive heart attack 😳This is interesting 🧐have to have my calcium score checked every year

      @@mysticalfairy32 The pork and bacon didn't cause it. It would have been the bisquits and gravy, fried potatoes, grits and anything cooked in seed oil. And, of course, sweets.

    • @candacewithana4929
      @candacewithana4929 2 года назад +5

      @@mysticalfairy32 the meat didn't cause it. It was all the carbs from wheat, sugar, fried foods etc. We ate this way before food industrialization and lived without obesity, autoimmune diseases, cancer etc.

    Laura, great content and ideas for different Carnivore dinners.. Quick Tip... dampen a paper towel and put it under your cutting board in order to prevent it from slipping around. I am sure you probably know that already.. but just in case.. the footage of you cutting up the pork loin made me a bit nervous for your fingers.. LOL! Keep the great content coming.

    If you buy lean pork tenderloin you can brine it overnight and it will be tender and juicy. I worked in catering and the chef always made the best tenderloin.

  • @garycooper3021

    You’ve probably already considered doing this or have been encouraged to buy a portion of beef and/or pork from a grower. Where I live there is a State wide grower/ processor/consumer group named Farm Direct Minnesota where rancher/growers advertise their wares and PM/DM prices if not stated on the site. I bought a 1/2 steer (Black Angus) and my ‘out the door price’ was $4.00 lb. That’s the whole spectrum from burger to Porterhouse. Vacuum sealed, frozen and labeled.
    Did a whole hog from the same rancher. When people rave about the flavor difference between store bought and farm direct, it’s a real obvious difference. The whole hog price was comparable per lb. to the beef, including smoking the hams and bacon. You can buy smaller ‘shares’ from an 1/8th beef to the whole thing.
