David's appearance on here was also during the time Series 6 of Only Fools and Horses was airing on BBC One. It was the first series to be in the 50 minute format on a Sunday night, and it was the time the show sky rocketed in the ratings, gaining around 16 to 18 million viewers per episode in 1989, with the 1989 Christmas special getting a whopping 20 million viewers.
Love Sir David’s story about the wind up he and Nicholas did to cast and crew and all the other stories from the other guests really enjoyed this video👍👍👍♥️♥️
This is one of the best Interviews I have seen on You Tube ❤ David Jason Is a Legend of Uk TV 📺👍🇬🇧👍 Only Fools And Horses Darling Buds Of May, Frost, Danger Mouse
This Aspel and Co edition aired on the night before the episode "Chain Gang" of Only Fools aired on BBC One on Sunday 22nd January 1989, the episode where they try to buy gold chains from what turns out to be a con man.
This man sir David Jason is my best actor if not the best actor ever Not only was he brilliant in only fools and horses but sir David Jason and Ronnie in open all hours there's no ever two comedian's that are better together than sir David Jason and Ronnie on this planet
Watching Michael Aspel reminds me of a talk show host from Ireland who I feel had a similar cold style of interviewing, a man called Pat Kenny, who hosted Kenny Live 1988 to 1999 and then took over Ireland's big Late Late Show for 1999 to 2009. I just remembered Pat Kenny when I saw Michael's interviewing style.
I totally agree. And while there is the feeling of the interviews being more scripted than say the Parkinson formula, there is no denying Michael is an enigmatic, charming and humorous host that makes his guests feel totally at ease.
You obviously don't know how chat shows work then. Should be fairly obvious that during this part it is David Jason's segment of the guest spot and therefore - the main focus is him!
peter howitt, played joey boswell in the tv series bread and directed the films sliding doors with gwyneth paltrow and johnny english with rowan atkinson.
I am not sure if you are aware but due to playing it safe, after have the channel taken away from me for a short while, I did have the Peter Howitt uploaded but because of a copyright issue with a film clip, it has been taken down. I will re-edit the clip and upload it again in the future.
