Love your videos on your personal workflows and systems. As a designer this has really changed my view on productivity and workflow. Also something about your voice is so soothing! Keep up the awesome content! I am looking forward to learning more
Incredible work. I've watched the video where you're making the first DIY desk for your wife AT LEAST 10x and just realised I'm not subscribed, thanks for reminding me. Also, you've inspired me to do my own DIY desk so thank you!
Always refining, nice! What about a piece of sheet steel (1/8" min), brake-formed to an L-shape? Vertical leg of the L could slip into a slot cut into a continuous wood band across the underside of the lid. Add some gun bluing to the steel to match the black of the equipment. When you're ready to store away, slip out the shelf from the slot and the horizontal (longer) leg could slip into the same slot when you're ready to store it. You could size it so the when stored away the vertical (shorter leg) nests perfectly with the lid dimensions. Love the vids.../eric
You put your macbook at a wrong direction. The place where the heat from your mac escapes should point upward not downward like in the video because hot air naturally will rise up in the air So I recommence you to place your mac with the apple logo is up side down , it will be better because the place where the heat escape will be pointed up in the air ( 2:07)
Matthew changes up his workspace more frequently than I change underwear. Ok, maybe not, but still! (Don't get me wrong: everything looks great and his voice is so relaxing) ❤
Hello Matthew, I saw a newer video from 6 mo ago about your office there is no dj desk. Do you still use it? I have saved this video for more than a year for when I can build it for my boyfriend and come back often to your channel and now I'm a bit lost about where the dj desk is 😁
if you dont want to rework the whole shelve you could just add longer stick on back of the shelve and make hole for it in the fixed part so it will be holding the momentum
LOVE your DJ booth with the digital vinyl system! In fact I'm also a work at home lawyer who DJ's events on the weekends. You too? That's a great way to incorporate your other passion by repurposing a work station. I'm going to have to borrow that idea!
First, I just want to say that I love your design ideas and the process by which you see them through. This inspires me to one day do the same once I am finally done with school lol. Second, I am not trying to be a troll in any way. This is an honest question, but why do you have a Logitech G pro x Superlight wireless mouse for your second set up? I ask because I not only know how hard that mouse is to get but also how good it is at competitive FPS games. It is the same mouse I use for my main set up. Regardless, great video! Please keep making more; you have a tremendous talent that I feel many people don't understand.
Appreciate the honest question. The honest answer: purely and aesthetic choice. I couldn’t find a great ergonomic white mouse that I liked. This was a decent option.
I am going to try to make this but for the laptop stand maybe a small scale flip down bracket made to make flip down tables installed to the underside of the lid..
Need help for a small setup, any advice? The space is cornered buy the two walls and a high bed. This gives me a space of 1m×1.5m. If I had a table for the longer wall (1.5m), the table wouldn't be very deep. If it was on the smaller wall (1m), I dont know if I would have space for a 27" monitor and a laptop.
It will be interesting to know how many man hours it took to finish each of your major projects. (Main working space, secondary working space etc) An I imagine it took you thousands of dollars to get to that level, but hey if it makes you earn more, then it is probably a good investment :)
For the laptop stand: Why don't you make the same system your desk has when opening but backwards? the support would be inside the desk, fixed to the top and when you wanted to use it, you would simply drag it down
I could build something like that, but I do want to keep it very accessible, since I also use the same laptop for my main work desk. Thanks for the idea
Another great video as always. Regarding the laptop stand on the DJ booth, why not just find a smaller version of the gas struts you used to open the table then just install the wood you already have as the surface? might not be as clean but some black struts should look fine and industrial-like. Nevertheless awesome video!
Everything looks sooo good and neatly organized, but what I admire most are YOUR BLACK MATTE DESK TOOLS from your pen to steel tape measure.. Hands down!!
You already know, it goes without saying how much I admire, respect, and follow your exciting and highly successful career/life! I am looking forward to this series bro! I am planning to make adjustments to my home offfice along the way as well.🤜🤛
I would simply try a loop and clasp to attach to each side on the French cleat. It would lock in when you want it to and then easy enough to undo and take off.
To improve the table that holds the laptop, u can simply make an L that is foldable under that piece of taable, and each time u use it, just unfold and it will hold better :D

I'm still learning, and it's so fun once you begin building things.
Love your videos on your personal workflows and systems. As a designer this has really changed my view on productivity and workflow. Also something about your voice is so soothing! Keep up the awesome content! I am looking forward to learning more
Glad it had an impact.

Thanks for joining. Im so excited for you. Enjoy the process!
Just a casual DJ booth set-up! This is so awesome, love a good multifunctional space.
Aw thanks Becki! This one was slow evolving process to figure out the details here. Took a while, but I figured it out!

You just took My Words Man 😀
Superlight on a felt mat made me cringe so hard lool

Eric what a genius idea! I think I already have a left over steel shelf that might suit the job. THANK YOU!
I had to check if I haven't time-traveled into the future, another Matthew Encina video! So cool!
Thanks!
I love how you just all of a sudden make almost everything look 10 times better than it already did and this makes me want to do more

Trying to get more out and maintain quality.
We want more videos about graphic field bro, thanks in advance for your effort ❤️

This setup is so clean and i love how you keep your stuff it nice and clean
🙏
I just got on RUclips and saw that you just released another video, i immediately clicked it. Keep up the good work
I really wanted to make a quality comment
But i can't keep up with the quality of yours
=)
SO GOOD. But that clamp+camera+shelf tho... had me worried!
Hahaha I think the weight capacity is something like 11+ lbs. I've stress tested before I committed. The mirrorless cameras are light!

Hey Matthew, what's the software that u are using for your studio interior design? 0:39

Me and the boys using the speed force to click on a new Matthew Encina video quickly then we ever could naturally
😁

Matthew I love how you’re evolving constantly and I just smile with excitement when a new video from you pops in my feed. Keep going!
Thanks for saying that. Appreciate it.

Some guys have their classic cars to work on. I have my workspace as my ongoing hobby.
i wish i could have an m6 as decoration.... :) great shot at 2:42 it takes so much time to set all these shots up but flows so effortlessly
Haha I’ve had that beautiful piece in my collection since 2009, but sadly it rarely gets used.
And thanks for noticing the details
@matthew please share the link to the paintings on the wall... great video as always.
Love you idol can't believe we can watch your videos for free😘

So many functions in a small space. Love the ideas
I love modularity and multi-use. It's fun to figure these out.

Thanks. I’m just a bedroom DJ. A fun way to spend time with music, getting lost in it.
Great video! I dont like the look of white peripherals...
Previous Setups were way more better imo 🤷🏼♂️
Waiting for heart ❤️❤️

You can save space by wall mounting. That will clear up the desk top, even if you go narrow.
It will be interesting to know how many man hours it took to finish each of your major projects. (Main working space, secondary working space etc)
An I imagine it took you thousands of dollars to get to that level, but hey if it makes you earn more, then it is probably a good investment :)
I'll share more details like this in upcoming videos. Thanks for your curiousity.
Did you have a review for monitor Asus ProArt display for a content creator/graphic designer like you? Thanks ;)
I haven’t done a dedicated review, but after half a year of use, I do recommend it for the price. (Color calibrated monitors can be very expensive).
For the laptop stand: Why don't you make the same system your desk has when opening but backwards? the support would be inside the desk, fixed to the top and when you wanted to use it, you would simply drag it down

Good idea, but I have very limited ceiling clearance (1.5") it's hard to find a solution that would fit that.
Really waiting for ur next videos ❤️ 🔥🔥
I am upgrading my setups by refering only ur videos
Waiting for more videos n ideas
Working
wating for thiiiis, love your videos man
Thanks
Love the work as always? I got some peg boards for my son and myself! They are awesome. Thanks for that idea!!! Can’t wait for your next video.
Thanks!

Also my favorite. It took me a while to track all of those down
All the work stations including dj setup is awesome man 👍👍👍 waiting for your future diy videos keep it up 👌👌👌👌
Thanks
I have to know more about that POPBOT in that large blister pack packaging. Where'd you get that?
ThreeA, from SD Comic Con
Mr. Encina, thank you so much for sharing this; I repair books in a library and would love this. Thank you so much.
How cool. Thanks!
I've said this before and I'll say it again. A day with a new Mat Encina video is going to be a good day!
✌🏽
I'm waiting to watch your upcoming Video with a lot of Curiosity

Everytime i see things you're using makes me want to get one too especially on productivity gears. Idol talaga!!!!
😅
Been meaning to find a home for my DJ controller since working from home. Great idea! Thanks for making this video ✨
You're welcome Ty. Hope you build something fun!
Matthew is TKO'ing the home improvement market!!! Keep it going brother! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Aww thanks Danny!
I love to watch your videos. Very well articulated and more professional. Keep going!
Thanks
A deeper French cleat would help!
Noted!! I got lazy to recut after I made the first one 😅
Great brother, Love From India 🇮🇳
man that jump to the dj set up in the beginning is so good
4:40 The left bottom corner is beautiful indeed.
I love your setup; you should paint the screws on the shelf mounting brackets white, they make little touch up paint bottles and paint pens.
Good idea.
I swear all of your video is therapeutic
Yet again a great video! I would love to see a video about your favorite Graphic Design books.

Thanks KD. Have fun with your update!
Amazing video Matthew good job!
Another Hot Video I'm working on my Space too It's almost there !!
🙌🏽
Great video, took me long enough to watch it 😅.... I hope that we will get some content related to visual design and art soon 🙌

Your main desk setup is much better!
So so productive
You are the best man
Need to install a shelf above my desk for that overhead view. Also that figure in the breakdancing pose 🙌🏽
It's been so helpful for overhead shots. Really simple. Just make sure you buy a strong enough clamp and ballhead.
I have watched each of your videos 10 times you are amazing Thank You!
Appreciate that
I would simply try a loop and clasp to attach to each side on the French cleat. It would lock in when you want it to and then easy enough to undo and take off.
Do you mean a small chain with loop? Or do you mean adding something to clasp on the bottom of the cleat? Appreciate the input.
Great Job Matt !!… watching here from Manila, Philippines.
Cheers
Was not expecting the DJ booth! Great video, Matthew! Can't wait to see more.
Cheers
Love it 👨💻
Amazing !! Will you soon show us your computer upgrade? Haha
I haven't done one in a while, but I may upgrade my tower soon
can we see this office at night?! 😜
Noted. I’ll share on another video
& now I cant wait for your next video! Man legitly speaking your content is so good!

To improve the table that holds the laptop, u can simply make an L that is foldable under that piece of taable, and each time u use it, just unfold and it will hold better :D
I'm taking notes for my future setup. 😌
😊
Go visit Frank Howard's channel, he's the master of the french cleat.
Thanks.
That intro was 🔥. I love how it went with the beat.. As always awesome video!
Thanks for noticing the details
Wow really nice
i love the overhead shooting
Me too
Thank you! another great content! looking forward to the upcoming ones!
