    Always refining, nice! What about a piece of sheet steel (1/8" min), brake-formed to an L-shape? Vertical leg of the L could slip into a slot cut into a continuous wood band across the underside of the lid. Add some gun bluing to the steel to match the black of the equipment. When you're ready to store away, slip out the shelf from the slot and the horizontal (longer) leg could slip into the same slot when you're ready to store it. You could size it so the when stored away the vertical (shorter leg) nests perfectly with the lid dimensions. Love the vids.../eric

    You put your macbook at a wrong direction.
    The place where the heat from your mac escapes should point upward not downward like in the video because hot air naturally will rise up in the air
    So I recommence you to place your mac with the apple logo is up side down , it will be better because the place where the heat escape will be pointed up in the air

    First, I just want to say that I love your design ideas and the process by which you see them through. This inspires me to one day do the same once I am finally done with school lol.
    Second, I am not trying to be a troll in any way. This is an honest question, but why do you have a Logitech G pro x Superlight wireless mouse for your second set up? I ask because I not only know how hard that mouse is to get but also how good it is at competitive FPS games. It is the same mouse I use for my main set up.
    Regardless, great video! Please keep making more; you have a tremendous talent that I feel many people don't understand.

    • @MatthewEncina
      @MatthewEncina  3 года назад +1

      Appreciate the honest question. The honest answer: purely and aesthetic choice. I couldn’t find a great ergonomic white mouse that I liked. This was a decent option.

    Need help for a small setup, any advice?
    The space is cornered buy the two walls and a high bed. This gives me a space of 1m×1.5m. If I had a table for the longer wall (1.5m), the table wouldn't be very deep. If it was on the smaller wall (1m), I dont know if I would have space for a 27" monitor and a laptop.

    • @MatthewEncina
      @MatthewEncina  3 года назад +1

      You can save space by wall mounting. That will clear up the desk top, even if you go narrow.

    It will be interesting to know how many man hours it took to finish each of your major projects. (Main working space, secondary working space etc)

    For the laptop stand: Why don't you make the same system your desk has when opening but backwards? the support would be inside the desk, fixed to the top and when you wanted to use it, you would simply drag it down

    • @MatthewEncina
      @MatthewEncina  3 года назад +2

      I could build something like that, but I do want to keep it very accessible, since I also use the same laptop for my main work desk. Thanks for the idea

  • @jeus_saaa
    @jeus_saaa 3 года назад +1

    Another great video as always. Regarding the laptop stand on the DJ booth, why not just find a smaller version of the gas struts you used to open the table then just install the wood you already have as the surface? might not be as clean but some black struts should look fine and industrial-like. Nevertheless awesome video!

    • @MatthewEncina
