Always refining, nice! What about a piece of sheet steel (1/8" min), brake-formed to an L-shape? Vertical leg of the L could slip into a slot cut into a continuous wood band across the underside of the lid. Add some gun bluing to the steel to match the black of the equipment. When you're ready to store away, slip out the shelf from the slot and the horizontal (longer) leg could slip into the same slot when you're ready to store it. You could size it so the when stored away the vertical (shorter leg) nests perfectly with the lid dimensions. Love the vids.../eric
Everything looks sooo good and neatly organized, but what I admire most are YOUR BLACK MATTE DESK TOOLS from your pen to steel tape measure.. Hands down!!
I have just watched the video a year later after it was uploaded but I have still accessed the 1 month trial of Skills Share . Thanks Matthew Encina. You really an inspiration to me.
Each of your new videos inspires me to redo and modernize the workplace. How cool and successful you manage to implement your ideas. I admire people like you! You're doing great!
Thank you for answering, you may not know, but I'm from Bulgaria if you are wondering where this place is, it is located south of Romania, north of Turkey and Greece, east of Serbia and south of the Black Sea. Greetings from Bulgaria and here you have subscribers.
I'm building my own office at home and this is super inspiring! I love when you say that your office upgrade as you own more skills! That's the key for everything!
Your initial home and office setup was my favourite. Its interesting to see your style evolving after you quit your previous job which I feel like you get to know yourself better.
You already know, it goes without saying how much I admire, respect, and follow your exciting and highly successful career/life! I am looking forward to this series bro! I am planning to make adjustments to my home offfice along the way as well.🤜🤛
DJ Shelf suggestion - Attach the shelf by a piano hinge (cut to size). Attach chains at the front corners of the shelf. To close the shelf use inset rare earth magnets on the shelf and the underside of the desktop. You could also use bolts. It's a great design. Well done. Now you've got me thinking about how to customize my own workspace so that it actually works for me... - Cathy (&, accidently, Steve), Ottawa/Bytown
@@MatthewEncina If you wanted to go a bit experimental you could use strips of leather attached with brass hardware... There's also the option of using a sort of 'turn-leaver' for a closing (sorry, I don't know what the proper name for it is - essentially a bit of wood attached to something that will let it turn 360)
Love your videos on your personal workflows and systems. As a designer this has really changed my view on productivity and workflow. Also something about your voice is so soothing! Keep up the awesome content! I am looking forward to learning more
LOVE your DJ booth with the digital vinyl system! In fact I'm also a work at home lawyer who DJ's events on the weekends. You too? That's a great way to incorporate your other passion by repurposing a work station. I'm going to have to borrow that idea!
