Guys I apologize for the audio if the music is too loud or my voice too low. This was my first vid and I'm still learning how to edit properly😭 Thanks for watching tho!
It was a great vid man, this was the first time I've seen someone buy the top of the desk and the frame separately, I think it was really smart! stole the words right outta my mouth at 2:28 😂
I love how this video isn't over the top like certain setup videos where they spend 10k on a pc, accessories, and cover the whole thing in RGB. Yours is much more realistic and minimal, great job!
I appreciate that! Glad you liked it. That was the first thing I noticed too when watching other setup videos. Hopefully this vid proves you don't need expensive stuff or crazy accessories to make your own setup!
I love how this setup isn't covered in RGB lights. I see a lot of people doing this and I just think; "why? Those just turn your 'clean' setup into an eyesore." Nice, clean, simple. Good creation.
I have an rgb strip running along the wall side of my desk. I have it set on cycling pastel colors and it just adds ambient light that no one would say looks "gamer". Just looks like the desk is glowing.
I've personally moved away from rgb led strips to a monitor lamp like in the video and I don't regret it one bit. It's so much better and the light shines in a useful place, I love it.

I agree with you, I used to spend time in front of the computer 10-14 hours a day almost every day for almost 2 months. My back muscles are inflamed because I use a wooden chair and nothing supports my back. The inflammation was so severe that I could not sit down when I have meals. I told myself that I would never do that again and I won't go on a budget on chair because it was a very painful time.
Great clean setup! My professor told me the best is to have window on your left or right from your setup because if its in front it hits your eyes so they strain to see what is on monitor and if its from back it hits your minitor so they strain again
The reason that they make the edge banding larger than the width of the board is so that you can cut it down for a more professional finish... at least that's why I think they do it. Also, if you notice there is a slight chamfer on the edge of the board. You will need a router and a small chamfer bit (looks like 1/4") to get the same edging all the way around the board.
8/10 set up. Clean, simple, colour matching, and perfect. If it comes to me, I wouldn't place it behind the window since I have trust issues for whatever reason rain drops might leak. I love everything else tbh.
I beg, nick design, if your reading this, read it till the end, you wont regret it. with that monitor, your capable of a high refresh rate. it makes everything faster and kind of 90% of the price you spent on the monitor, the refresh rate. turn on your pc, locate your desktop (home screen with nothing open) right click and click display, in the settings go advanced display > refresh rate and set it to max, if you already know this or have don't it already, I couldn't resist. hope it helped

It doubles as a coaster so I can put a drink anywhere lol. I love how you don't have RGB lighting everywhere. I have some lights behind my monitor to help with eye strain at night but that's it.

Thanks for the comment! I connect my Mac to my monitor with an HDMI cable. Most laptops and monitors should have an HDMI port but if they don't, you would need an adapter. I got a Mac over an all-in-one desktop because i use my Mac in other places other than my desk. For example, I bring my mac to work and other areas in my house to work.
