All great, but placing the whole setup right against a window is a hella no…idk what’s your field, but good luck working with the direct sunlight reflection (especially for graphic designers)😂

I don't see any reason to shorten the table top. It now only extends halfway over the side cabinet.

I did not! I believe i have a newer hdmi cable so that may be why its better quality

what did you use to make the desk shelf, apart form the wood
I used two pieces of wood that were 1 inch X 3 inch in size and glued it on with wood glue. I also painted it black, thats it!

Idk what some people are yapping about. $1000 is a great budget for a whole setup. You don't build it every month, but every 3, 5 or even 10 years, so there is no reason to cheap out on anything.

I like this as most “home office” builds are done in fairly large rooms so it’s nice to see an build done in a smaller room as not everyone has a larger office room in their own home.
Now days 600 you can get everything, Standing desk, gaming chair and monitor WEBOS without needing laptop and it’s accessories mouse, keyboard and remote

It’s probably important to note that the Ekbacken is made with particle board and the Karlby is not, which is why the price difference is so great
Good point! The karlby is actually similar to particle board though believe it or not, it's not solid wood. The top is a veneer and the inside is chips/particle.

Where do you put your webcam for videocalls? I'm looking to buy a monitor lamp but i'm not sure where would I put the webcam then, and it's important to me for work.
I dont have a webcam as I dont need one but if i did i would either moved the monitor lamp over every time i need to use the webcam or purchase a webcam arm that attaches to the desk similar to the monitor arm. The second option I think would be the best, you should check them out on amazon!
