I loved watching this! I am a motocross guy who's body can't keep up anymore. I started RC racing a little over a year ago, and fell in love from moment one. RC saved me, I went from sitting at home playing video games, to being out at tracks every weekend. I've made so many amazing new friendships, and had so many amazing times over the past year. RC saved me, plain and simple, and to see you pass that on to others is amazing.
Hey buddy its good having you at the track! I have been doing this for 15 years and still slow lol But even if had all the money in the world I wouldn't give it up. To many good friends and good stories to pass up on.
Great stuff mate! That was so impressive, I can't believe how well you were able to get your perspective on track. It was great that you were able to choose the lines you wanted to take not worrying about how to control the car. You looked like an experienced driver out there!
Daniel Evans, I noticed that, in traffic, things got a little hairy. Once you were free and clear, you ran clean laps. As I'm sure you know by now, running clean laps, in traffic, now that's the bomb! Try a 2WD buggy.
Started in moto at 3 yrs old on a pw. Started rc club racing on carpet at 14 with a traxxas rustler. Stock everything except shock oil and Got a better brushed motor (orion 27t i beleive) and was eventually able to run with the top 3 and take a few wins. Most of the comp were AE or losi with brushless and lipo. I remember the compliments and how good it felt to complete a race without crashing, and staying as clean as possible just to be more consistent than the faster cars. 26 now and still hooked to both sports!
So many thoughts come to mind with this video, 1) that's awesome! Love to see you get to share the joy of the hobby! 2) Lee Setser and Ryan Harris as your support team at a race, where do I sign up?! 😂 3) driver etiquette, avoiding contact and not driving it in on the inside of someone, waiting... definitely all a learning curve for someone that raced motocross my whole life and Daniel did great!
Was an awesome weekend watching you drive and seeing him progress so quickly. I even made it into the video at the 7:36 mark, in the blue (SPAm RC) shirt marshaling.
I'm glad I came across this video! I recently retired from ATV racing and got into rc and have a ton of my old little moto stickers and now I am thinking I am going to send a body to get wrapped!!
Awesome Video Man! I just Stumbled Across your Channel….Wasn’t planning on watching the entire video but I couldn’t stop watching…lol…looks like a ton of Fun!
This is great. I’m currently out with a torn ACL from moto and got into RC during my recovery. One race in my basher ARRMA was enough to make me buy a used Losi 1/8 eBuggy.
I couldn't make it across one jump the first time I races RC and was pretty overwhelming. He did a great job and I am glad I stuck with RC, maybe he can too!
Great video Ryan. It was cool to see how his skills in moto translated. He was able to anticipate the slide in the corners. Thanks for putting this together.
Have to share this because it just feels so good... Carpet with Schumacher KC Laydown 2nd place in the modified with a STOCK 17.5 buggy out of 6. 3 of them where pro, 10.5, 6.5 and 13.5 ridiculous crazy speed cars. Those parcitlce hours, your videos, learning how to set up a car properly payed off super well!!! Thank you Ryan for sharing your passion and infecting me with your racing mindset 😛 Love from Hungary
Rc helped me with getting into moto especially with throttle control. I’ll actually bring my RC trucks to what I’m jumping to get the throttle control and timing to what it should be.
Hi Ryan Me and the family watch your videos on the big screen and enjoy them and learning at the same time. So thank you and keep up the good work. Me and my sons are getting back in to rc racing, we have just bought a Team associated B64 2nd hand but has very little use. But we are from the UK we race at a local club which is in a school sports hall, nice size track. But very slippery as you would expect. What set or tips could you give to help us get traction. Take care Glen 👍
I might be on my own here…. But I’m only 4 minutes into this video and already loving it!! Can’t wait to watch the rest later 😃 Not sure you’ve changed things up a little or just gotten better ideas for content (or as you say, patreon made it possible) but… I always enjoy your uploads, but this one is by far the best so far!!! Big 👍 from Northern Ireland 😃
Great job bro! That’s the way to introduce someone to RC. Easy to make it work when you’re new trying to learn to drive and tune. Letting him focus on driving probably made it much more fun and less stressful. You should give him that wltoys to bash/practice but out new tires on it lmao.
I can't wait to get into racing. I just found out my local hobby shop ( over a hour drive ) has a outdoor track. I got a rtr mst 2.5 drift car but literally just got it last week. Noob here
See...now this is awesome! Taking a rookie to their first race and do very well by Q2?! 🔥 I also come from a motox background. My first race, it was like I was back a Bithlow (now Orlando speed world)!! This is great content!
Same here...off and since 85. If I broke myself, back to rc for awhile. Now at 60...back to rc for good. Comments on moto experience is definitely true..remember, once a racer..always a racer!! Well done and we could use some new faces in our rc community .
That was awesome I haven’t raced for about 30 plus years in Orlando I live in Pennsylvania now going to try again building a track at my house I have the property I don’t want to go to the track and crash someone else.
ryan i thought you had a newer f150 but i saw in the beginning you were in a ram. what do you think of the difference? i’m currently between both of them and need to make a decision in the next few weeks.
He took to it like a fish to water! if that is really his first time driving rc on a track, he knocked it out of the park!! You can tell he has done a lot of laps, maybe not rc stuff, but laps are laps.
Plus the lines too clean no one that has never touched a rc car would be able to do that. Just getting used to the wheel, from like the stick controls from toy rc, is huge, and co-ordinating left and right from a weird controller ( as newbie would get left right mixed up, and yea lot of B>S> really ). Also throttle be everywhere
Loved to see that he waited for people if he made contact with them. I always make an effort to do that… unless it’s my brother which in that case, I’m freaking outta there 😂
There's no way in hell that that kid has never raced an RC car before. If that is true he should start practicing and practicing and he'll be a pro in no time because he did damn good.
I call bullshit on that it's his first time. As co-ordination and fig'ing out the the rc remote wheel, to which is left and right, and precision. Long story short Biggest bullshit story that it's his first time, especially at a pro track yea nah
You guys think he should keep racing or nah?
Are you kidding me? I have been into racing for years and wish I could turn laps like that. 100% natural, get him a car and a sponsor.
Most definitely! Love the specialized hat btw
Daniel can rip it up. He should keep wheeling
Keep racing
He should definitely keep racing that was a great first time out 👍🏻

It's a great hobby. Keeps you from staying inside all the time and go out to have fun
Same….much safer than a dirt bike and same adrenaline pumps hehe
Love to hear positive stuff about the hobby.
Hey buddy its good having you at the track! I have been doing this for 15 years and still slow lol But even if had all the money in the world I wouldn't give it up. To many good friends and good stories to pass up on.
Great story. We share similarities. Keep the fun going for years to come
Thank you so much for the opportunity!! I had an absolute blast! Although lee might still be my favorite😉

You gotta come race down here in FL. I think you can hot lap Ryan by your third race 🤔
Great job and attitude little bro! Best of luck with moto, RC, and in general!
@@hunterking5514 you gonna show him who the fastest is on your home track?

He did great glad you guys came up here!
Now we need to see you do a motocross race
This would be incredibly slow and anticlimactic 😂
Atta boy, Daniel!
Your turn 😏
Thanks! But now you have to try it so I can lap you😬
@@danielevans532 you have to drive with one hand though....lol
Super cool! Found myself getting the adrenaline worked up watching him try to fight for 1st in his main. Good job

When he understeered in the big right hander, I was like "Bono, my tires are gone" 🤣
Great episodes styles… love to see some track time with a objective that’s not just winning…
WOW I'm lost for words....
He's absolutely amazing for 1st go👍👍👍 start RC racing buddy you will do well👍👍
Sometimes no matter what sport you're involved in you just got to have fun

You and Mark Santa Maria are my favorite rc tubers.
Coming from nearly 20 years of moto... It's honestly amazing how much it correlates to rc. Except the pain, that's just moto for the most part. 😂

Hey ryan, love your vids.
Question: Super secret setup link seems to be broken, any advice?
Good stuff. Track layout seems a little lackluster unfortunately, but great for beginners. More jumps!
beautiful trackl
I see that specialized hat
When you race dose anyone have lock diff in their buggy or trucks or no and why
He did really good for his first race I'm impressed
That was fun to watch
Where is that track located?
Ryan, love to see you set up and drive a TRL tuned Arrma Typhon at the track and tell us what you think
