I like Barbara Mandell, but nobody can beat Dolly's version with Jim. It is beyond words can express! Dolly's little laugh in the song makes it even better!!!
Shemar Moore has a southern style piano that gets me in a some type of mood I wonder if he'd do it if I double dog dared him? @shemarfmoore @originalmysticpoet88 @real mysticpoet88
Man I ain't heard these in YEARS! I tell you, you and Jerry Reed were cut from the same cloth! Either you sound a lot like him or he sounded a lot like YOU. LOL
back in the day (1974) this was a country crossover hit. one of those songs that was played every hour on top 40 stations. but some people thought is had a gay undertone. or the guy singing the song wanted to do it with the girl but he was just too unsure of himself. he he had the girl ready willing and able, but he pulled out spiders and snakes to avoid what the girl wanted.
NO I dont like spiders & snakes!! well find something else then..there's all kinds of bugs and insects out there..lmao..I remember seeing this on tv when it originonally aired...
I introduce this song to my 4 1/2 yr old grandson, i loves it. He likes it so much because he knows i can't stand snakes lol

That´s good, but the version with Dolly is just beyond words. So adorable^^
This is great.. and the one with Dolly.. and Conway and Loretta's ❤
I actually remember watching this! Oh. My. Word. :)
One of my most favorite songs by Jim.
Barbara Mandrell was gorgeous.
No, you are correct. It's not a clip from Branson, but Jim Stafford currently performs and has his theatre in Branson, MO.
She's just great! You can always tell she's having a genuinely good time!
I think he got better with age i just him last week and sounds soooo much better!
"magnolias and begonias and linoleums..."
ROFLMBO
This version is more sultry and seductive, while his version with Dolly is adorable and cute!! Great song!! :)
That girl is just plain foxy!
Sure did get a kick out of Jim Stafford....and a warm feelin' from Barbara Mandrell! Haha
when he does it with Dolly it has more acting in it than with Barbara. Both are quite funny though
THANKS FOR POSTING!! I LOVED THIS EPISODE!! Do you gave the rest of the episode? Can you please post more segments from it? THANKS!!
Show ran from 1980-1982. When did they sing together?

How silly he was.
Man I ain't heard these in YEARS! I tell you, you and Jerry Reed were cut from the same cloth! Either you sound a lot like him or he sounded a lot like YOU. LOL
He said he 'took his frog out and shook it at her'. LOL
Beavis and Butthead laugh
What year?
I like the dolly/jim version better too

I always assumed it was kids... a little boy would try using spiders and snakes to impress a girl
